What I find horrifying is not the extremist mutiny rhetoric of one soldier but the cruel bigoted attitude towards Palestinians by IDF soldiers this video suggests.
In military terms "Mutiny" usually means refusing to obey the orders of officers. I don't hear that. What I hear described hear is discontent with the political leaders in Israel.
"... you cannot command us" is mutiny.

In a true democracy, it is the government who is in charge of its armed forces rather than the other way around. Mr. Anders should employ not only translators who are fluent in Hebrew but also those who are quite fluent in telling the factual truth.
The "Government" is not in charge of the Military. Within Russia it is One man who operates the Country from the top & through his surrogates, the KGB. In our Democratic Nations, all our different Political Organizations & Arrangements remain separate from one-another. The Government creates the policies through which the Military operates.

1. "The "Government" is not in charge of the Military" -- You are confusing between "What To Do" (Cabinet to Army Chiefs) with "How To Do" (Army Chiefs to military planners and troops).
2. "the KGB" -- The KGB is no longer in business.

No discernible narrative. Anders' commentary is informative but the discussion is all over the place. This feeling of incoherence reflects the nature of the conflict. Hamas' witless act of madness has triggered reciprocal madness in Israel. Vicious stupidity is not a viable strategy.
No end state seems likely except exhaustion. With the combatants hating each other even more deeply than before. The only third party who could have intervened effectively has been undermined by domestic political conditions. Unwilling to face the consequences of decisive action.

@@Rtg5637 For families of hostages the war is about hostages, but they are a very small minority in Israel. Israeli government does not care about the hostages. They even killed many vs. letting them get taken alive by Hamas on October 7th. If Israel wanted the hostages back they could have agreed to the cease fire but they choose not too. The head of Israeli Government, Nethanyahu, is indicted for corruption charges. He needs the war to go on forever so he can stay in power forever. He doesn't care about the hostages. This is sad but this is reality.
