Appreciate these reviews cheers.
Very informative. Thanks!
face in thumbnail pic says "yeah it's another one of those again"
Well I mean $1,500 is no slouch either though
Andrew, will Nanlite be sending you the new bicolor FS units to review? They're extremely attractive from a value standpoint, but I'd really love your opinion on them in general and specifically how the striped COB's perform with the fresnel and projector mounts.
Can you please make a comparison between Godox M600 Bi vs Nanlite Forxa 720 Bi. Trying to purchase the most defined light shadows

I thought the dimming looked remarkably good. Better than the 600D for sure.
Godox has always been a ''value'' brand and they often cut one too many corners when it comes to making a quality product. I see it as a friendly entry if you're a gaffer with no equipment whatsoever and you need to buy a lot of gear quick but I would probably sell it for something more substantial as soon as the first gig is over.
All that being said.. I was incredibly surprised with the results when paired with the nanlite projector. Good to know!
(Note: The Aputure projector mount is only rated for up to their 300W light, do you think it can handle 600W output? Is it a bit like the Aputure 1200D and the fresnel, depending on the day?)
I've used the projector mount with my 600D at full power for hours on end. It does get VERY hot, but apart from that no issues!
It can take the Aputure 600D, it's just not optically optimised for it
Can you power the unit ON with the app without pressing the physical ON button on the unit?
I no longer have this light so I can't answer
What is that adapter on your c-stand that "receives" the light mount?
Can you give me a time point in the episode to refer to
@@gaffergear At 4:45 you set the light's mounting stem down into the "receiver" on the C-Stand. I ask because at the top of my C-Stand I have just a standard stud whereas you have something that engulfs the light's mounting stem. Thank you!
@@bh6984 this is a combo stand. It has both receivers in the top.
I think this Godox 10" fresnel can work with Aputure 600 series
This is so long abo I can't even remember if I had any Aputure at the time.
Different manufacturers' optical lenses are optimized for themselves, rather than compatible with all their peers. Like APPLE is not compatible with Android
I'm a huge Godox fan. But over the last few weeks, they have totally ruined their lighting App. It's a total dogs breakfast. Previously, I had no issues with it. I have reached out to them but got the whole "sorry, Chinese New Year" spiel.
