Salute to all my M&P runners out here. it was one of my first one years ago. Moved to G but when that 2.0 dropped, it just shot well without me even trying.
Got it a couple months ago. Over 1000 rds no issues at all. Great gun out of the box. My edc right now is the Shield Plus PC 4.24” but this M&P 2.0 definitely will be in my rotation depending what I’m wearing, love it.

The new MP2.0 was the first new pistol I bought in 25 years and the first non Glock pistol. I love the look and how well it perform. I added the floyds baseplates and Maxwell to it. I went with the holosun acss Vulcan. Thanks for sharing.
I installed my own apex trigger in my 2.0. I took the trigger out of the 9mm and put it in my 2.0 40s&w that had the hinged trigger. That apex trigger is crazy man.

The 4" with the same trigger in black is my EDC atm. I prefer SA/DA guns but my P07 with CGW trigger doesn't have an optics mounting system. I'll probably switch from the S&W at some point, but it's a really good gun.
I been running the Floyd’s custom magwell and mag extensions for years….Floyd’s Custom got it right for the S&W…I give you a Sub also, I try to support all the small 2A guys and gals on YT..
these are super underrated guns, I work in the firearms industry and I have turned a lot of people onto these, I was always a Glock guy and still use Glocks a lot but these are better overall IMO, everybody I let shoot mine at work loves it, got over 1k rounds through mine and that newer flat face trigger has broken in very nice. GET YOU A CALULATED KENETICS PLATE TO NEGATE ALL THAT CORBON BUILD UP ON THE OPTIC LENS 😉
I'm a big fan of the m&p 45 acp can't wait to pick one up and add to my EDC rotation but still then I will keep my ec9 in my pocket and my G2c on my hip 😅

I am a Glock guy. I will say I always wanted the 9MM/10MM 2.0 series but I have always heard that the optics come off while shooting but if that is true I have not heard of anyone giving a remedy to fix it. Once again I don't know this for sure because I am only going by what people I actually know told me. If that optic coming off while shooting issue is fixed or if there is an actual resolution better believe I am getting them both

Definitely not man I’ve got the apex kit on mine with all the lightest springs and conceal carry every single day, 2,000 round down range and not a single problem so far. It’s a massive upgrade over the stock trigger and I’d highly recommend it
Nice, but I prefer (opinion) the Springfield Hellcat Pro for carry. As you mentioned with your gun, the Hellcat’s trigger isn’t the best but I love just about everything else about it. Plus, it’s hard for me to ignore the 17 round capacity magazines.

My opinion is if you are going to carry. Carry a full size. The 4.25 M&P is what I carry. I don’t like Floyd’s base plates or extensions. With Floyd’s magwell you can use taran tactical +2 with Floyd’s magwell
I’m losing my alcohol belly for this exact reason 😁 I just sold my hellcat pro I rather defend my life with a full size handgun that feels more comfortable. And my goal is to be able to conceal carry a full size no problem! And so far so good with the weight loss

I've got the same weapon with a Lasermax SPS-C-G light and laser by Spartan. I went withTruglo front sight and that's all I've done with it. I added this pistol to the arsenal back in 2018. I would like to know how to filed down the grip a bit? Also, my 1st gen wasn't optics ready so I will upgrade the slide one day but I was wondering if you had yours milled?

I have the smith&wesson performance center shield with fiber optic sights and rmr ready with ported barrel, and it came with a crimson trace red dot! It's the 4" model. But what grade sand paper did you use? I would like to do the same as you! I use to have the og shield and loved it!

They have 3 different versions as well. I got the tricked out one with the ported barrel and the crimson trace red dot. Was a birthday gift to myself!
My only issue with my compact (almost wanna trade it in for the 4.25 full) is that the grip is a tad too short. Does the Floyds Magwell give it more room? If so I may get it. If it doesn’t give me some extra room I’ll just get a full size. Thanks!
If you want more room go full size the Floyd's gives your pinky a ledge to sit on but not any extra room. I like it because it helps me really lock in my grip in the same place every time from the draw to presentation
Echelon is very nice, but it’s full size and not comfortable to carry concealed for me. And I typically carry a Staccato C2. But if you’re not worried about that, the Echelon is a better choice in every aspect. But the M&P2.0 compact is solid. There’s some parts to upgrade, mostly the trigger and guide rod. Try to get the one with the already upgraded skeleton trigger.
People give me shit for carrying my M&P compact with the apex trigger. Been 3 years and thousands of rounds without a problem

I have 2 2.0 compacts, it’s my edc also. I got the odg metal spec series and competitor too. M&ps are tough weapons

APEX is made for the M&P. That trigger in a M&P is as sweet as it gets. They're good in Glocks, but superb on that Smitty💪🏿

I carry the 3.6. F8 sights. Apex trigger. Gets the JOB DONE

I can't remember exactly but probably 800 grit or higher.ive been looking at the shield plus definitely on my list

Which back strap do you run. This one is noticably thinner than say a G19.

Probably better off with a phlster enigma but I do use the tier1 with shorts/sweats I just get my edc belt extra tight

Echelon had some mag issues upon release. I would be careful and check if it was corrected.
