This looks so fun! I would love to go on a writing retreat at a hotel alone, but I have too much anxiety and I feel like the fear would definitely just make me work even less than I do at home haha so I'll just live through lovely vlogs like this đ
I totally get that! I was pretty anxious going on my own-Iâd never done that before!
I live out of a suitcase. It drives my mom crazy but all my clothes are normally folded in a drawer at home, anyway, so it's not like I'm leaving stuff folded that shouldn't be.
I hate sticky hand sanitizer!

Hi again. I would love to have a hotel writing getaway, but unfortunately, I live in south Africa, western cape, and the hotel prices are close to r1000 for the night.
And places that might be less is far from my location.
And just try to relax and take each day as it comes, since it sounds like your life seems crazy business. Everything will fall into place, since I managed to write out some scenes for the last two weeks. And only today it worked out perfectly, so make notes on idea's to maybe help spark your creative vibe running.

I mostly live out of my suitcase while traveling so I don't forget anything when I leave. Going on a writing retreat is definitely on my to-do list. Definitely going to take some time off work to do that either this year or next.
When i was leaving, I DEFINITELY wished I had left it all in the case đ And you absolutely should!đ
I usually live out of a suitcase, mostly. But for stays at longer places, my stuff gets more and more spread out, generally. XD

Well done on this writing retreat, Sarah! And though it may be a hectic time for you, you've definitely got this. When the going gets tough, the tough get going.
And I know what you mean about not wanting to be out of the loop with your close family. I'm 32 years old and have a house of my own, but I visit my parents every single day. Luckily they live just a couple doors down from me. And I also message and call them all the time. My parents and sister are the only people I actively contact and hang out with on a regular basis, because I've always happily been a bit of a hermit. Happy writing!

I'm considering booking a cottage in Wales (where I live) for a week and going with my cousin or on my own to get some writing done.

I don't see Coke in your sodas. All Sprite.
I just leave my things in the suitcase. I'm going to enjoy the room and the view, walk around. For me, unpacking means a chore while staying in a hotel means it's a vacation. To unwind. To chill. I didn't leave my house to do a different chore. I can pull out whatever I need anyway. ;)
