the SVAutobiography comes with a much more bedazzled interior configuration thatn this press car. lots of quilt stiching.. really spices it up. i'd take the range rover every time. that bentayga is so ugly i can't stand to look at it.

I saw a Bentayga the other day on the road and although I was forced to admit it wasn't half as visually unpleasant in the metal as it appeared to be in film, I wouldn't exactly call a 'looker'. By contrast the Range rover simply looks imperial.

did anyone notice how biased this review seemed to be, or the fact that the bentayga was optioned to the hilt, but there were several options missing on the SV including the premium quilted leather seats, exterior styling package, leather headlining, and a host of other shit. In addition, with all those options i mentioned the range rover would still be a good $40k to $60k cheaper than the bentley in this spec. so this video is biased and thus not necessarily accurate at all
Brandon Lilly I totally agree with you, the Bentley was a nice spec as well as having a nice cream interior to make it look lore luxurious compared to the Range Rover.

Very nice video, probably the best out there for comprehensive comparison between Bentayga and Range Rover.
Not that I can afford just the running costs but it's great just dreaming that 1 day I can be undecided between which to buy.
Range Rover all the way lots of room for my border terriers they like sitting on the parcel shelf and looking out . The Bentley has its place but not in the country.thats the difference the Range Rover looks good and fits in everywhere.even if there 30 years old

Indicator and cruise control stalks in the Bentley are the same as on my Audi A3 with a bit of chrome on the end.ahah
I've driven all the luxury cars and will say Bentley is on a whole different level of luxury compared to the rest.

What year are the cars?
Had the RR been in a light cream colour inside, the whole feel and touch would be different. Darker dyes require tougher leathers, they dont feel so good and they certainly dont look anything special.

the Range Rover looks so much more expensive but when it comes to the interior it's a different story
The grey bentayga featured in this video is actually my car, had no idea it was on CZcams. Having had a Range Rover , and being that I don't get driven at 50mph off-road whilst sitting in the back , driving on a motorway the Bentley is the only way to go. The Bentley really is three times better than the Range Rover. It drives like it's on a carpet. Not so good on corners compared to the x5m I had or a cayenne turbo, even in sport it's no sports car but it goes around corners better than the Range Rover. What he doesn't mention is that with the four seat version you can't put the seats down so only have a small boot. He also doesn't mention in that spec it's £220k - £60k in extras , and even then it doesn't have a tow bar, park heater or mood lights or the breitling clock.....

Would like to see the Bentley Bentayga be compared to a Audi SQ7, to see whether the B feels like its worth 60 - 100 k more.
It is worth it for those with the disposable income to spend on 'nice things'. 60 to 100k extra to people who earn tens of millions annually is like us mortals comparing a £30 Seiko to a £300 one, or a £5000 Breitling. They all tell the time perfectly well. The cheaper ones don't even need winding up if not worn for a few days.
Bentley is just not that nice to look at. Looks like everything else. Have to agree that RR Vogue has 95% of what you get in the Autobiography... so why not stick with the Vogue spec. RR drive position can't be beaten... RR look / style cant be beaten... RR all the way.

The Cadillac Escalade is the obvious choice over a range rover in America. Especially if you appreciate, capability, versatility, reliability, space, and resell value.
In Dubai nobody cares Escalade. Kind of Animal rescue vehicle. Blahhh
There's just something about a range rover nobody can beat that feel good factor. Personally I'd rather have a autobiography lwb a little more a real range rover a even softer suspension setup.

Great review but which one would I choose? Honestly... neither. I would wait for Bentley to make a bigger suv (and they will since this is more of a Range Rover Sport).
If anything their next suv will be smaller. The grandest SUV is still to come, from Rolls-Royce.

I learnt nothing from this, except perhaps what to expect from Aston when they eventually join in, and that either of these two is better than only being able to afford something by Toyota.

Having borrowed the SV for a couple of days before buying this bentayga, people are saying it biased because it doesn't have some cross stiching or electric rear seats in the Range Rover , trust me it's not. The Range Rover still drives like a tractor. The bentayga drives like a car. The Range Rover feels like a car from 10 years ago. The technology on the bentayga is bang up to date and has 48v electrics / suspension which means on the road a better drive....and a properly integrated headup display system and proper integrated systems that are usable and the best (option) stereo on any car period. the android tablets in the back are the best integrated system I've seen - way better than rolls Royce or Mercedes class ....you feed the wheel on the Range Rover , you drive the bentayga like a car. The double glazed windows make it silent. The next Range Rover will Likely blow the bentayga away if the velar is anything to go by, but the current one is 10 years out of date and not worth more than £100k no mater what engine or extras you put on it. The bentayga does look better in person and after a few days with it you start to understand the curves and when you do a 4 hour drive you realise the bentayga isn't twice as good , its at least three better as good as the Range Rover. An sclass or rolls Royce ghost comparison would have been a better test

The Bentley Bentayga is a much more expensive car and is less luxurious in the back seat
+Joel Schembri the Range Rover also has champagne flutes and two fridges, one for the champagne bottles in the rear and a fridge in the front for your driver.
I'm also sure the Bentley doesn't have extending foot rests, I know in the Range Rover you can lift your feet almost horizontally

The rear in the SVAutobiography is amazing, there is a brown leather version that a friend owns and it's simply amazing.
I'm quite keen to see what Rolls Royce will produce, Bentley is known for making drivers cars, Rolls isn't.
Was in the market for an SUV and tried the Range Rover. Went with the new Volvo XC90. Has a better interior.

1, Comfort on road and off road - on road winner Bentaxga, off road winner RR - 1:1
2, Fast test as a sport car...? Winner is BB 1:2
3, Luxury - same or similar 2:3
4, off road capability (same the speed limit) - winner BB 3:3
5 price/value - RR 4:3 - winner RR

great review. Range Rover will always be king of the SUV'S. It's one of the only car manufacturers that can proudly say a range rover is a range rover. Not like Bentley with the platform of an audi Q7.... scratch further you'll find the VW Badge.

I live in the mountains, lots of snow in the winter, Range Rover would fit my environment better, but Bentley always has the sharpest handling for speed and the interior is always better.
