- Trucking Vlog 002 | I Got Inspected!
OTR dry goods run to Modesto, California. Just another take on trucking life over the road. I tend to haul a lot of different loads. I am rarely doing the same thing, and I love that about my job.

Y'all making some high quality vlogs, well done! 👌
I used to watch your videos all the time!! I kind of fell off the CZcams wagon for a bit. I love your stuff!
@@ShelbyHBTM thank you I appreciate it! I'll be watching your stuff, it's great filmmaking
Cool as heck when two yotubers you watch, watch each other. 🤣
Crazy good videos! It’s like you have a production team of 10 people working on these and have been doing it for a decade. Now I’m off the to see if Vasilly put one up. Vas, time to pull up the socks man you got some crazy competition here 😉
@@ShelbyHBTM КАК МОЖНО С ВОНЮЧЕЙ СОБАКОЙ ЖИТЬ ПОД ОДНОЙ КРЫШЕЙ.
I can’t even back my Nissan Altima into a parking space.... talent 😭😭
ViVa LaKate 🤣🤣
Yoooo same 😂😂😂
I know, right. Lol 😂😂
Lmao, that's a good one!!
U should not be on the street.
I’m not sure why your videos showed up in my feed. However, the editing and content are great! I subscribed and hope there will be many more videos coming.
lol yea this randomly showed up in my feed. There are not many young rig drivers, male or female. I respect these people a lot.
Jose Cabrera same here! It’s honestly kind of nice to see a pretty girl doing this kind of a job too. It’s not often that people do.
@Shawn got a source for your stupid claim or you making a joke?
What about a cab review? I’d be curious to see what you like and don’t like about the interior of the truck.
@Owner Singh Just curious. More looking for driver feedback on what can be improved or be done differently...
@Owner Singh Shakeliner
xeikai fright shaker
I get so nervous everytime you back into a bay! I would love to be a trucker but that part scares me so bad. Haha!
been trucking 11 years. best advise , find an old school trucker who's been out there many years & talk to them as much as possible. I was fortunate enough to have some downtime & sat and talked with a 75 year old man who'd been on the road for 50 years. I learned a lot & the information was priceless. I'll never forget it.
Exactly you can learn so much of what not to do.
@manddservice .manddservice dont you go dying on me.
I used to drive OTR and was lucky to have time with a trainer for the first couple of weeks. I learned more in those two weeks working with him than any other prep or training.
@3 name changes allowed every 90 days. Who says, you?..lol That man most likely has a nice home paid for, several cars who knows what else. And you you call someone you have not even met not bright???? Ever stop to think the man is happy with what he's doing?
@Randy Rodes I doubt this will happen to her. She doesn't strike me as the type.
Love the pupper subtitles lol
I absolutely LOVE your vlogs! I’m a 59 yr old woman who very much wanted to become a truck driver back in the early eighties....I learned how to drive an old Kenworth twinstick ( 40 forward gears with 8 reverse), I could drive that truck like nobody’s business, but unfortunately at the time it was very hard to find work because I was a woman...that men felt like I had no business driving truck in the first place! And they let me know it too! I instead drove a 40 foot school bus for over 20 years. It wasn’t really what I wanted to do but at least it was still a large vehicle that kinda was like almost maybe driving a truck....except that my cargo was very precious and I treated it as such. I wish you well on your journeys and pray that the Lord keeps you and your beautiful dog safe always! Thank you so much for letting me experience my dream through you...☺️👍🏼🙏🏼💕 Terri
When you were backing into the dock I couldn't help but notice your dog (Dakota?) kept looking back through the passenger side as if to say, "you're good over here, yeah, just a little further, you got this". lol
That's what those of us in the business like to call 'cute'.
My wife and I drove as a team for years and I am tickled to see more females in the industry.
It’s money baby!!
I would be interested in hearing about how you got started and how you came to choose trucking as a career.
Truckers do not make all that much money unless you own your own company my dads owned a trucking company for over 20 years so I know alot about the back end stuff
@@Schuelke14 actually you can easily start out with $75k after the first year of being an otr trucker . With teams you make a hell of a lot more than that. If you're an owner operator you can make around 100k or more every month, depending on your freight.
@SV _ not for owner operators, I know a guy that was making 140k a month.
If you're working long enough for a company you can make 100k yearly easily. You don't need to be an owner operator.
@SV _ it pays well, but you miss out on a lot of life.
Tara W you have no clue what you talking about. If you would like a 1099 statement and see the money after expenses with 3 months off. $188k. Let me know. Like we out here O/O just for shits and giggles.
The way you present yourself is amazing
Truckers are the most important! From the shoes on your feet, the clothes on your back, the food you eat, the car you drive, the lumber your house is built from, all your electronics, your toys, etc... ALL came on a semi truck.. Yes, some are jerks, but most are the BEST people you will have the pleasure to meet. Please give them room on the highways & let them merge in with traffic.
I’m so glad your videos popped up in my feed! My dad owns a trucking company and has for a while now. He tends to only accept loads in the west, he lives in Sandy. Cool to see another Utah trucker, especially a female who doesn’t look older than I am! Love it❤️
I played about 700 hours on American Truck Simulator, and I can never drive a truck for that amount of time in real life. Thank you for showing what truck drivers do.
YOUR A BADASS THERE NEEDS TO BE MORE WEMEN LIKE U IN THE TRUCKING INDUSTRY
( THANKS FOR VIDEOS & LOVE YOUR DOG 👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌
I love watching the backing into spots. My dad drove a b- line and I was always amazed by how he could just park up perfectly lol
I wouldn’t mind driving a semi as long as I just go forward.
Richard lol right!
Do it then, the companies are desperate
Driving backwards is a big part of trucking. Not just because it's a required action to dock and deliver, but because it's dangerous. More truck related accidents involve backing than on the highway.
@@Josh-of-all-Trades same with bus transit, actually the transit company I was looking into doesn't want any of their drivers to do any backing at all. Same with a rail crew shuttle company. If they find out you did any backing without calling the boss first they'll fire you. Companies are getting mighty upset with backing accidents.
I suck at backing up unless it’s straight back I’ll pull up 20 times if I have too 😂 but I haven’t hit anything yet
Lots of respect. I couldn't do what you do just because I hate sitting in traffic. But you're awesome. Living your american dream.
I work in shipping department and I’m always curious as to what a trucker does and goes though delivering loads. Love the content you definitely have a subscriber
Wow, you weren't kidding when you said you do a variety of loads! Store deliveries in the first vlog and now an unload at a DC. Love the vids, nice to see a fellow lady trucker ✌
Made that look simple! As a fellow trucker, y’all don’t get enough credit in the industry! Keep it shiny side up and grease side down driver
Your videos are helping me fall in love with trucking
I used to be a flatbedder. When I drove across northern Nevada, and needed to stop short of Reno, I hit the TA at Mill City, or the Wadsworth rest area. I tried the Sparks TA once, I actually liked the rest area if I had a few hours. I used the RV water to bucket wash my tractor. Some times I could not wait until the company paid for a wash. I was hauling an over-length load to Turlock and was stopped by a Nevada HP just as I was getting ready to climb out of Reno. He pulled out a tape measure to check my chains on the load. One was dead on 10 feet. He looked bummed that he could not issue me a ticket. Be safe!
I love this channel! I love the scenery and music additions. I'd love to see more of you doing the physical stuff. I'd be cool to see maps of your routes etc. Keep up the awesome work!!
Also I love the doggo commentary.
Ok yes I forgot I did that in one of the other videos but I will make a point to try to add that more often
Shelby, I just found your channel and am loving it! The content, editing, your dog 😆 everything. Keep it up!
I am also a small 5’0 girl who thought I couldn’t be in the industry due to my size. Thank you for offering representation for the women or for the smaller people in a traditionally masculine and hardy industry. I’ve just contacted my local truck school, thank you!!!
People do not realise how important truck drivers are to this country. I tell my kids every time we travel. I tell them everything we get mostly comes transported from a truck. So you respect those worker.
Your editing is top notch, love it.
I love the fact that you do this!!! I’m getting ready to start driving for UPS and I’m super excited!!!!
I would like to see you and your truck driving down a highway from the outside. And also to see you in action the work part of it loading and unloading.
And parking it. Keep up the convo and Dakota and those awesome videos and scenery 💪🏻
Look at all that middle of winter snow pack!.....oh...wait....right....it's been another dry winter for us in California.
Much respect to you the way you do your job. Love the doggie too! You are one cool gal!
Your video edits are top notch can't wait for the next one. Safe travels.
I have had the opportunity to view many trucking related channels, and videos- on CZcams. I must say that this one is very fresh, original, refreshing and inspiring. The music, the cinematography- including camera angles- is visually appeasing, and the narration is upbeat and heartening. Thank you for shinning rays of fun to an otherwise gloomy and somber profession.
So nice to see younger men and women in trucking. Our industry is an aging workforce.
I do love the b roll footage as well as the updates on where your heading as I've never been to the states and its beautiful to see it from a truckers view. I always wanted to be one in USA
Safe Travels Shelby and whom ever. Your Dog is so adorable ♡ much love and respect.
i enjoy this very much, thank you! i am a small woman, just got my bus license. It is so inspiring to watch you rule the road!
I think there are a lot of us non-truckers out there that will enjoy these videos. As far as specific content, I think sharing as much as you are comfortable with sharing would be great. That can be things like the daily struggles or daily joys of the job, things that frustrate you on the road and anything that would help spread some knowledge about the industry to those of us that share the interstates with you all. Keep up the good work and stay safe.
This just show up on my feed and i loved. I always wanted to drive trucks but never could .. New subscriber here!
I love the B Roll and watching you back in to all the stops! It’s impressive!
The casino in downtown Winnemucca, Nevada on the main street has a wonderful chef in the restaurant. The corn chowder was delicious beyond words. They also make a fabulous breakfast.
One thing you can say about most casinos is; not only do most of them have overnight parking for 18 wheelers but they also have 24 hour restaurants which allow you to have breakfast, lunch or dinner at any hour.
I love your channel, it s actually one of my favourites trucking channel! I also admire the way you enjoy work and life! Keep it on!
Keep those videos a coming miss shel by you've got my backing 100%
Nice job backing in. Its all in the approach/setup.
Just be who YOU are and the content you want to share. Being yourself makes the VLOG the most authentic in my mind. You are not going to please everyone. Thanks for sharing.
I drive trucks on a smaller scale (24 ft box trucks) and I like it. I'm based out of los angeles and work for a company that works primarily for bands and artists. I'm actually headed out to Vegas tomorrow for Christina Aguilera, I have all her gear. Anyways, I love to see a beautiful woman in this business. You're doing great
This is my 1st time watching your video and I want to say thank you. You and I are about the same size (body) and height and I have my driver’s license but I have anxiety about driving and you are giving me so much inspiration for being a small woman bad ass driving a big ass truck. Be safe on the road and love that you have your dog for protection and company. 🙏🏾 Thank you
THIS IS 1ST TIME WACHING YOUR VIDEO AND WANT TO SAY THANK YOU AND ARE
Love the music and the sites. Stay safe young lady.
I love this
The editing skill in this video is outstanding..
This was up in my recommended and I quite liked it. The content and editing were excellent. SUBSCRIBED!
It's great the videos you share with everybody Shelby and I'm a retired trucker of 38 years so keep on keeping on. Thanks, John
You have no idea how much I love hearing that motor.
Watching from the UK 🇬🇧 you Go Girl..👏👏👍
11:29 Like a Boss!!! Great Job!!!
Great vlog, Shelby! The quality is top tier, keep it up!
Loved it
I love who ever puts the funny things your dog says or what you think he is saying lol
Love the format you have going on your videos. Another aspect I like is how you explain everything for those that dont know the industry. I think that check point you went thru would be those agricultural checkpoints.
I found your other video yesterday and I’m so happy that you posted today! I just started driving a cargo van because I love driving I love the road and sight seeing. I would really like to get into a big truck so I think this is a good start for me to know what that life is like! You should make a video about the things you look for on the truck like inspections before you take off and explain everything you got going on by the steering wheel. Like what does what
I Like seeing actually the day to day AND specific situations that u encounter.
Such good quality already! I like a mix of talking and montages. So interesting to see what truckers do because I've always wondered seeing them on the road thank you for giving insight!
I'm from Ireland and I love watching American truckers videos on here keep up the good work 👍
I just happen to stumble onto this video and I’m glad I did! Nice job wheeling that rig around! From a fellow trucker out of central PA 🤘🏻
I did a dedicated run from Fernley, NV to Fremont, CA for 8 years and I really enjoyed the trip. The chaining season was always the most interesting time of the year.
Love your vlog, awesome shoots and views so far from any trucking vlogs
Great job backing into the dock! You go girl!!!!
These are amazing high quality and you are an inspiring woman
🥰
Beautiful scenery and great music. Nice job!
Your positive attitude is awesome! Stay safe and God Bless! 🙏
Really like the high quality content, good mix of talking and scenery. Also like the dog commentary lol. Keep it up!

That heart beat sound on the DOT scale is exactly how I feel every time 😅
Just blow the scales...ta da!

Well done- good flow with your vids. Good to see your passion!!!
I just happened to come across your video. I think you are awesome & a total inspiration. I wish you safe travels across our great country
Hey, love your videos and your dog! I’m definitely interested to hear about how you got into trucking and the process. I work for FedEx Express as a courier and I’ve always taken interest in becoming a trailer driver. Looking forward to seeing more videos.
👍👌❤🇨🇦, just keep doing what you doing, excellent video, music was spot on, top notch editing
Just found your channel a few days ago. Love the videos and will continue watching them. Keep up the good work.
Seeing you Happy is more than enough, keep doing what you do #happinessbythemile
Just watched one of you videos and enjoyed it. Now I've subscribed and pressed the bell icon so will be watching more and learning about Trucking in U.S.A. It is very different to here in the U.K.
Super cool editing keep grinding 💪🏻💪🏻🤑!!
Signing up for cdl school In the coming weeks, glad your channel popped up, looking for all the driving tips I could get!!
You're awesome! Love your content, have a lot of respect for what you do. My BFF is a Trucker and I love watching him backing into spaces and love going with him for rides. Keep making videos 🤗❤️🐾 oh yeah I love your dog.
Really enjoying the videos! Thanks.
Respect from Romania 🇷🇴🙏
Doing good 💯
Love what you are doing.
Great job! Thanks for making and sharing this video. You're right, it's not an easy job and I wish other truckers were as patient and calm as you behind the wheel. I wish you many happy and safe miles ahead. All the best from Canada.
Modesto CA is 20mins away. also where I work! Haha that's cool I never really hear central California mentioned anywhere
FedEx want their gloves back. lol 😂
No purple is my color though! lol
I’m so excited to catch this as soon as you’re starting your CZcams journey! I’m looking forward to seeing your channel grow 🤗 You are 💯 going places. Love the music choices, the creative bits you add in with sound and graphics are cute too. I think your day to day is really interesting.
Watching from Reno, NV! Loved that I could recognize the scenery on your drive into CA, I make that drive frequently. Love your channel!
Would want to know how you stay healthy doing the job and how it effects your social life having a trucker schedule
I can tell it takes a lot of self discipline. Shelby has it. I don't. lol
Prep food major part stay away from the truck stop Garbage!
OMG, You're Absolutely Gorgeous, and you really seem to know what you're doing!!
I'm an OTR driver, have been for 28 years.
I'm impressed with your skills!!!
Keep up the fantastic work, and keep making the video's!!!
Great stuff!
loving your videos. Thoroughly entertained. Your dog rocks!
