I think Iolanda is the strongest by far. Amazing staging and outstanding vocals, and the best chance to qualify in Eurovision
She's not my personal favourite, but I have to agree she has the best chance. It's the staging that really elevated it, not sure why more people don't have dancers with them when they have such a huge impact.

Basically the portuguese voters seemed to hate songs with Africa essence. This song also a homage to the late famous portuguese-african singer Sara Tavares and yet the portuguese has shown no respect to her
@@deddyson If we are going to be honest, João Couto is the whitest and commercial boy I've ever seen. Yet, he delivered more than some other qualifiers... And for the record, many people wanted Huca to go through. I think jury played besties with some of them.
@@deddyson Oh c'mon, the whole show was basically an homage to her, both the 1st and 2nd SF. There were references to her in every frickin interview to the point of it being tiring. I'm Portuguese, and yes they were *always* talking about her. I'm not familiar with Sara's discography, I'll admit that, but by far her most famous attempt was "Chamar a música" which need I remind all had *zero* African influences, it was a regular power ballad designed for European tastes. There were no indications the Portuguese public would like these sort of entries. I get people liked Huca's song and that's fine, but don't say the portuguese have not shown respect to her, because we did and we still do.

I felt asleep during this recaps. The lady, who sings about spring looks like the character from My Magic Encanto. In truth the best impression made the girl in glasses at the beginning (although it was not clear sang or maybe Portuguese sounds like that?) and the guy also in glasses somewhere in the middle.

I know right!!! He’s been my favourite since the songs were released and now he’s finally getting some recognition from the fanbase 😍
He was one of the few that stood out to me without looking at any of the full live performances, especially since he seems to be the only one bringing that wholesome vibe. I don't remember what semifinal Portugal is in and which half, but it is possible for people to actually put through a song like that since he also matches the feeling with his presence (reminds me of Hope in that way, can't remember the singers name, Stefan?) and I can't think of another song that is like that one.
Grito does probably have a shot, but there are others matching that energy song wise at least, so it actually might not be as strong as people think is (depending on which semifinal it is).

"You Can't Hide" had a pretty sh*tty staging to be honest and would never go to the final.
