Satin is not a lower quality silk, it's a way to weave fabric. So you can get silk satin, cotton satin, or polyester satin. Satin is slippery and won't catch and tangle your hair when you sleep on it, while silk supposedly doesn't dry your hair out as much as other fabrics, which is why silk satin pillow cases are supposed to be so great. (I haven't tried it.)
thank you, i was gonna comment this. silk is the fiber, satin is the kind of fabric. but most likely she got non-silk satin, which is how is was easier to care for.
Universal Standard's shirts are EVERYTHING! sounds just like the fit youre looking for. I absolutely love them.
I bought the same fleece lined leggings from TikTok shop 😂 they were under $5 and I wore them twice during the winter before storing them away for spring/summer. I think I'll continue to get good wear out of them for at least a few years. they're soft and stretchy and my only issue with them is they make my legs look thick and chunky lol.
btw I think moss green and wine are your colors! I've been checking out your other videos and you had a super nice camel sweater on in one that goes perfectly with your hair color/skin tone. there's something to color theory and seasons for clothing and makeup colors. I choose clothes according to 1) comfort 2) price 3) appeals to my preferred style or aesthetic sense but struggle with finding flattering pieces.
I love your videos 😊 This one was interesting. Ive been keeping track of items in and out this year and this made me want to do kind of a walk through for myself to kind of audit and look for patterns.
Hi Shawna ! I hope you're doing well. I love these nitty-gritty-detailed videos ; the Converse are so cute and the flared trousers suit you so well/
I'm also someone who's ALWAYS struggled with acne (since I was 10 and I'm about to turn 27). During my teenage years, I tried everything under the sun from drying creams from the pharmacy to drugstore products and nothing worked. My self-esteem was SO BAD, my skin was constantly red and hurting, I was extremely scared of having "holes" in my skin. I also tried a clean diet, washing my bedsheets even more frequently that I already did, etc.
The only things that worked for me were : 1) accutane (which I don't necessarily recommend, especially if you have mental health issues like me) 2) the pill. If that's not too personal, do you use / have you ever used any of these medications ? I'd understand if you did not.
Lots of love from France
P.S : in terms of sunscreen, I can only recommand our French brands such as Avène and LaRoche-Posay.
Thank you for sharing your experience 💗 I'm so sorry you had to go through this and I can absolutely relate. I developed very sever acne young too. I've been on Accutane previously, and I don't think I qualify for it anymore. Anyways, my acne also has other health-related factors behind it that I didn't get into in the video so topical medication, even prescription, will only help to an extent. I'm in the stage of trying to figure out just how much and if other measures should be taken.
I switched from over the counter to prescriptions! I saw lots of benefits from prescription test and azelaic acid; I'd probably benefit from spironolactone but I don't want to spend more on my skin, and the above creams did a great job after a few months!
The pill worked okay for me (no and side effects, shortened my periods) but didn't really clear my acne.
the only sunscreen i have found that i like is the innisfree one :)
Can you please link the tights?
I bought a pair just like them on Shein but ended up decluttering because the bum area was not comfortable
Benzoyl peroxide was recently on the news for being unstable and can produce benzene higher than the safety standards 😢
I had no idea! Thank you so much for letting me know. I'm going to do some research now
Thanks for this info I didn't know! I'll avoid it for now until we know more
