      I love this, ENFP. It's kind of like peace isn't really peace, because peace implies stability, stagnance. Stagnance is a lack of change, and a lack of change is going to cause restlessness, conflict, and eventual violence. Peace=violence.
      Peace in reality is a slight lack of peace.

      Yepp. It's like "I failed. Ooooh, noooo! Big deal! Hahaha... Okay, what's next?"
      I mean, it does hurt to fail, but it's on us how long we dwell on it and how much we allow it to weigh us down. (That excludes anything to do with depression or deep rooted anxieties and stuff, of course. There's no shame in neeeing help!)
      What weirds me out to no end is how sometimes others seem to be unable to accept how easily we can just accept failure or embarrassment and move on. They then make a bigger deal out of it, then we do and think we must be arrogant or emotionless for it, when we're just okay with the consequences of our actions. At least that's what I see in healthy, developed ENTPs.

      That's not a good way to live if people can't handle the way you would like to be treated and don't do to others what they wouldn't like. I live by, seek, and hold myself to such greater, intense, complex and sometimes even contradicting ways that requires myself to go through uncommon experiences, having the complete opposite perspective and beliefs than others, i want life to be difficult and full of suffering for what it produces and much more. Most people don't want to be treated or go through what i do. Most people love what i hate and hate what i love. Most people want what i see as garbage and they see as something to cherish. Honestly, i haven't met anyone who would even agree with even a quarter of what i want, believe, value, don't want, etc.
      So actually, there was a time i did what you say you go by, and that caused many problems. I thought as a child we're all humans, we all eat and do many similar activities, so surely we must think and feel the same, but no.
      I realized they need to be treated the way i don't want to be and they need to not be treated the way i do. This has helped me keep peace and get along with others. They're only going to come to even one of the ways i want to be treated once they experience a difficult life full of intense suffering that they would even be capable of truly understanding why i have such an uncommon way of living and being.
      For example, something as simple as saying you had a female manager who commanded you to clean the floor in the store and you say, "yes, ma'am!" But there's actually women out there who hate being treated that way. There are some who demand you call them by their name or just not even treat them with high respect. There's some who will become furious if you even clean the floor and respond saying "yes" but you don't say "ma'am."
      So if you were someone who wanted that respect, some others would dislike it much that you treat them the way you want to be treated.
      My spouse is an INFP, and she's realized i don't like to be treated the way she does, and what helps her actually damages myself most the time. If we treat everyone based on ourselves, we clearly don't get that not everyone lived, grew up or went through the same things. Experiences do take a high impact on how we will think, feel, want, hate, believe, etc. If one person has loving parents and lives in a rich house with a successful family who highly respects each other, but another person has hateful abusive parents doing meth and has nothing else going for them, these 2 people as children arent going to grow up wanting the same thing, at least not for quite awhile. In fact it could be the opposite.
      After all, there's 16 personalities here, do we all want the same thing and feel the same way and want to be treated the same? No.
      Like i remember a meme,
      ESFP: How can you be okay always being alone?
      INFP: How can you be okay always being with a lot of people?

    9:01 is so incredibly accurate for me as an INTJ. I tend to make others angry all the time without ever expecting it. I just don't understand how people can get so furious. I've also recognized that a lot of people care so much about revenge, sometimes even going out of their way to mess with others. When you think about it though, what does revenge do? I'm pretty sure it's just what people do to cope with their anger. So yeah this quote is pretty accurate to me because I've never cared about revenge or that kind of stuff.

    • @Slayer3264
      @Slayer3264 Před 2 lety +2

      What revenge does is provide satisfaction, and sometimes you also get to give an asshole what they deserve. Sometimes you're the asshole. It doesn't matter in either case, there's no karma. People only get what they deserve in the sense of how well they play the game. So, revenge is as valid a goal as any. How far you take it is entirely up to you. For me (also INTJ) it usually dissipates pretty quickly. But there are a few cases where eroding someone's happiness, even if your only option is to do it bit by tiny bit, just becomes part of your everyday routine. Is it the most productive use of one's time? No, of course not. So what?

      I often have to come up with "theory patterns" of how emotions play out by treating emotional problems through emotional reassurances. Then I test these theories through trial and error. However the first INFJ one doesn't ring so much true for me, I guess I'm just not that much of a super-empath, I very well empathise with someone else's feelings and thoughts but I also know which ones are mine and which are someone's. But the blurring of one's own and foreign feelings into one is something super-empaths are capable of.
    I agree with fear being the price of imagination - because we see the consequences far into the future, we can get scared of them, contrary to people who cannot foresee certain things (literally don't see it coming). But I don't think we're scared of our own thoughts, at least I am not. I think it has something to do with the detachment INFJs can display. It's no wonder I became extra sensitive to criticism or "helpful life advice". I also developed a deep routed hatred for the phrase "I'm sorry you feel that way." My feelings were perfectly valid considering where my head was and what certain people were trying to fill it with. I spent so much time pushing my feelings aside to please others, just once, it was my turn to feel what was best for me.

    When I hear someone state something with absolute authority, that is my call to action. THE CREATURE MUST BE VANQUISHED.
    On ESFJ, I too have realized that the best way to cheer myself up is to cheer others up. I have acquired many a surprise gift from strangers that way...

    I enjoy your videos more than any other Myers-Briggs personality-focused channel. You have a great grasp on the essential qualities of each personality and their cognitive functions... After watching many of your videos, I am convinced I am more of an ENTJ, rather than the type I usually test as, which is INTJ... I just enjoy your in-depth, logical, yet sensitive approach. You seem to have great insights into all types and present it in a way that is concise, understandable, and useful.

    Excuse me ladies and gentlemen...
    I'm infj and a quote i always remembered for life is "everyone in this world is human, if they can do it so can you"...
    That quote got me so far in life i didnt even know why lmao...

      Interestingly, I'm an ENFJ, and my whole teaching motto for years was basically 'if I can do it, so can you'.
      I'm trying to become more realistic, but that statement is still something I carry with me.

    Quote for INFPs that I love, “All that is gold does not glitter,
    Not all those who wander are lost;
    The old that is strong does not wither,
    Deep roots are not reached by the frost.
    From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
    A light from the shadows shall spring;
    Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
    The crownless again shall be king.”

    Before I see what he says, I wanna say what I think to see if they compare.
    I’m INFP and I would say, probably my core life motto that I unconsciously live by is “everything is subjective.” That is to say, your life is your own, your perception is not as cut and dry as you may believe. Expect to be surprised, expect to be wrong, and expect to find that “wrong” does not concretely exist. Everyone gets to decide what that is for themselves.

    as infj a quote i live by is the one i got from my late father; "if you choose to do something or act a certain way, you are responsible to bear the consequences or see it through. you don't get to complain mid-way."
    this kinda switch-on my "went all-in or nothing at all" kind of mindset. sometimes it's not good to be that way and i still struggle to find balance. but idk, i still hold on to that words. at least on the social 'playground' it's useful in a way that i do not act or say stuff willy-nilly.
