@@TheGingybeardMan You’re gonna dig the Sportster. Sooo many mods you can do. More aftermarket parts and support than just about any other bike out there.
That looks proper with the horn there. Did not want to relocate the coil because I did not want to relocate the horn. If I get around to doing a tank lift I will follow your lead-looks super clean.
Ahhh... you definitely owe the father-in-law a beer. He's been very handy in a few videos now 👍
I sure do, He does a lot of the heavy lifting in the vids and saves me a few quid 😅
Looking forward to following your progress on this one. I was bummed out when you sold the Street Bob.
Same man, out of all the bikes I've owned the bob has been my favourite.... still miss that bike. So many mods to come on this little beast 🤙

Thanks mate, I've since had another bracket made to relocate the horn to the front of the bike. I did a vid on it 👍
Nice! I’m a fabricator by trade so I enjoyed this vid a lot. Love doing custom stuff on my own ride. Great to see you back on the dark side brother.
Cheers Rick sure is good to be back on a Harley.
Underbody tape! That’s a new one for me, cheers
Its good stuff man, super durable 👍
Well done brother looks very good so good to see you back on a Harley
All the best from NZ 🇳🇿
Cheers Dave, there's just something about Harleys, can't beat em.
@@TheGingybeardMan So true brother nothing else is like a Harley.
Nice and neat , gotta like it them simple fixes , well done .
Such a simple little mod really cleaned it up. I'm pretty chuffed.
I did this on my 72, man I miss that bike so much!!!
They're such a cool bike hey. I can't ever see myself getting rid of mine.
Good job, Looks tidy
Looks way better brother 👍🏽
Thanks man 🤙
Like a pro bro👌
The father in law did a solid job on the bracket
Forgot how good you were at DIY (understatement) you won’t have any trouble with your forks
Nice work 👍🏻🇦🇺
Thanks mate 👍
Nice! Looking to do this soon! What gauge steel did you use for this?
Was only 3mm plate. We ended up welding some triangle gussets from corner to corner to prevent it from breaking but that was after I did the vid.
Cool.
Do you have a vid of what you did to clean up the wiring under your bike?
No sir but if you search blockhead sportster wire tuck on CZcams it should come up.
Do you know the length of the cables you made? Looking to make a bracket like you did for my 72! Thanks
Yes mate the longest of your stock coil leads is what you need for both.
Great video 🤟
Do you sell these brackets?
I have the exact same issue with my 72.
Located Melbourne, VIC
Cheers
Cheers mate, this was only a one off piece you can find the brackets on eBay though 👍
@@TheGingybeardMan All the ones I’ve seen appear to suit no horn. I’ll have another look.
Thanks 🤟
Where's the ign switch? Is this bike keyfob only? Most people end up moving both the coil and the switch together.
I believe the previous owner wired the positive wires together for the ignition so it's a key fob only.
Couldn't you just switched plug wire from rear cylinder to the front and do the same for front wire for the back cylinder?
No mate, tried that, it wasn't long enough
Any chance you have the dimensions of the bracket you made??
Sorry man I don't, I've since sold the bike too.
