  • Ever wondered what the max range is on your Ninebot Max? Then look no further, today we are testing that out. With all the hills I have to navigate, the eco mode has been a tough order for this scooter, however, I figured out a way to have the best of both worlds. Stick around to find out how I did it.

    Thanks for this video, I have smiliar terrain here in Germany and I just got my max. It's always a mix of speed and range, but we have to be realistic, it's still a great achievement to get that far with this tech we have today. I am also into renewable energy stuff but until now it's quite to expensive... We need massive support from your government so everyone gets the chance to get his own electrical vehicle. If the government would really be interested in this it would do something, until now they get more money from the oil lobby and all the taxes. And in this way I see that it will take a good amount of years until the stuff will get so cheap that I actually can afford it

    thanks for your patience, i know how nerve blasting it is to drive that slowly. 25-29 km/h is a absolutely must, otherwise scooting is barely to enjoy. Greetz from Germany

      Thank you for watching.
      I agree, range is nice to have, but when you sacrifice too much speed, it can be a real pain.
      Always better to take charge cable and charge when you get to the destination.

    Great work on the test! I already own a Ninebot Max, but do you plan on reviewing any new e-bikes (notably dirt bikes) on your channel? I'm dying to know because you don't get the quality content on other channels. Thanks in advance!

      Thank you so much. I would love to review e-bikes and dirt bikes. I’m really hoping that my channel will get sponsored for this sort of thing 😊

    a nice idea for a future video would be a 48v battery with more compacity and more range. On aliexpress there are a lot of batterys but maybe they are not the best. Or building a battery

      @ScootLetsGo  Před 3 lety

      Thank you, I would like to definitely get a external battery at somepoint and also I would love to build a battery. Just need the funds to do so.

    Hi lets go, i have installed the sharkset shock absorbers and i found that I'm using 8-10% more battery for the same distance and route, is this the same for you?

    • @ScootLetsGo
      @ScootLetsGo  Před 3 lety

      I haven’t really noticed anything. However, this suspension adds a little more weight. So you may find that this is the reason for a little less range

    What folding mecanism do u have, it looks after market.

    • @ScootLetsGo
      @ScootLetsGo  Před 3 lety

      It’s the standard folding mechanism that comes on the scooter. The actual part that links it is from kickmotion. Which is just a higher quality part.

    Actually ECO should get you a bit farther than using Sport w/ speed-limit... because the modes have different torque settings for acceleration. I've achieved 31.5 miles Range in [D]rive@17mph; I think I will get 34-35 miles in ECO@12mph

    • @ScootLetsGo
      @ScootLetsGo  Před 3 lety

      I agree to those who live in a flat terrain or minimal hills. But with my terrain it simply isn’t a viable solution. The speed is not the biggest problem. It’s the torque.
      If I hadn’t made the change I would of been pushing the scooter more

    An electric bike is faster but costs more and isn't really as portable which to me are all big downsides to owning a bike versus a electric scooter.
    Not to mention the fact that the scooter is alot more mobile than a bike is.

    • @ScootLetsGo
      @ScootLetsGo  Před 3 lety

      I would love an electric mountain bike. Less likely to get pulled over hahaha and you can have some fun with it, but I do agree that a scooter is more practicle for space.

      @@ScootLetsGo it's legal to ride an "E-step" without a saddle or seat going upto 25kph here from any age without a licence, insurance or any sort of protective gear also if you go 6kph or less you can ride it on the sidewalk and are considered a pedestrian.
      If it has a seat you need protective gear insurance and everything else that a motorbike has if it goes above 25kph you need a licence if above 45 you need a regular motorcycle license and have to drive on the road.

      It's great to have both! Both have their pros and cons.
      I like being able to put my scooter in my trunk, drive to another city and explore around on it
