Ninebot Max range test 1 year later

  • Range testing my Ninebot Max after 1 year or ownership. My thought behind this is that after lots of use and abuse, the range should go down. But how much?
    It was a really great day to take the scoot out before the weather goes downhill again.

    Good update! Amazing range, 36 km after a year of use.
    It was a little unusual to see the sidewalks and the roads to be a little worn-out.. But the suspension made it all well as well as the off-road terrain!

      @ScootLetsGo  Před 3 lety +2

      Thank you.
      Yeah, unfortunately, our roads and side walks do get fairly rugged over here from time to time. I think that's why suspension is needed.

    • @ScootLetsGo
      @ScootLetsGo  Před 3 lety +1

      Haha yeah I was brought up in the transition between both units. But Celsius just makes sense for temp. And miles seems weird to most. I like that it seems less distance than KMs.
      Just make sure to keep looking after it and checking it :).

    • @jivekiwi

      @@ScootLetsGo That's interesting about the transition and Miles does sound better too, for some reason.
      I previously had a cheap unbranded Scooter where it was powered in the front wheel and the stem (where all the wiring was) wasn't sturdy but it seems like this one can "Handle the Jandal" and your not the littlest guy so it gives some peace of mind. Cheers!

    Great video! Have you done a speed test against a GPS device? I found that with my Max, the speedo says 30 km/h but it's actually only doing 27 km/h on the GPS. It seems like Segway exaggerated the speed by 10%.

    • @ScootLetsGo
      @ScootLetsGo  Před 3 lety +1

      Hey, thank you. I havn't yet done with a GPS device, I will look to see how acurate my phone can be. I just bought a new mount so I should be able to get a better reading there. :)
      Any suggestions?
      Also I believe most vehicles have a 10% margine both sides, they do it with cars too.

    • @polus2494
      @polus2494 Před 3 lety

      @@ScootLetsGo I just strap my GPS watch around the handlebars so I can see the GPS speed right next to the speedo. It's true that they do that with cars but the difference is when you buy a car they don't claim that it can reach a certain top speed. It was a bit disappointing at first but I put the gen2 motor in it yesterday and can get up to 35km/h on the GPS! Amazing upgrade. I highly recommend it.

I have it now in charge so I can test one 4km part that I did use last year in a normal bicycle to go work. Software is upgraded to scooter and the phone app running now, I almost not get it to sync with the phone but couple cryings and finally it did par with phone :)

    I have a question, hopefully you can answer me. I've had the max for 4 months now and I'm starting to notice that steering the wheel is a bit easier compared to when I first got it. I thought it was the stem, maybe it had gotten a bit loose, but that's not the case. I just feel like it's easier to steer the wheel, like it's smoother down there where the wheel turns. Have you experienced the same? Do you know what can be wrong? Thank you in advance :)

    • @ScootLetsGo
      @ScootLetsGo  Před 3 lety +2

      Don't worry this is normal. As with anything, when it's new it has to wear in a little. Same with scooters. Just make sure to check your bolts periodically to make sure they are tight and get some thread locker.
