I have No intention of ever purchasing Any Kit, but I have been tempted (briefly). The television in the basement kit was slightly tempting, but the broken heart bed Was a slap in the face. The country kitchen one was mildly tempting, but it came with very little. The greenhouse one was mildly tempting, until I saw what actually came with it. Beyond that, the rest is garbage, in My Opinion. Bring back Stuff Packs, with their expanded number of items and game play, and I Might purchase them. I have purchased Most of them, but not first pet or toddler... if I recall correctly.

BTD is my favorite, and no one can change my mind, because this is the only one kit that brings something that can be use by all, for realism, unlike most of the CAS or BB kit that are very nich... so specific to a culture/group or location. I like the bathroom kit and clutter, and plant... because they are usefull item you can find in any homes in most of countries etc... and obviously BTD is comparable to Seasons, but in a kit format, it does bring a background system who is good for realism, does not changes much, but more realism and challenges, also just like laundry SP...

I have many of the kits. So far I have purchased one (Country Kitchen) and won or been gifted the rest that I have. I lean more toward CAS than build buy, so I have slightly more CAS than build/buy and as cute as dust bunnies look, I don’t have Bust the Dust. With Throw Back Fit Kit, I would prefer if it was actually 90s, rather than inspired by 90s, but I appreciate that it’s one of the only kits that includes stuff for kids and toddlers (granted I think a single hat is all toddlers get, but it’s still something). As a family simmer, that’s important to me.
I do not yet have Courtyard Oasis or Industrial Loft. I love the look of Courtyard Oasis, but there isn’t anything to go with it, so it’s hard to build a full building, I think. Industrial Loft has a bed and that entices me. I also like the seating in that kit. The door is good and I think I would get some decent use out of it.
Incheon Arrivals and Fashion Street Kit are both packs I have. I tend to use Incheon Arrival more of the two, but I do use both some.
Blooming Rooms is nice. I do have it and I do use it. It’s not my favorite, but it’s a good solid kit. Would I have bought it if I didn’t get it in a giveaway, probably eventually, but not yet. I like others more.
Yeah, I don’t have Modern Menswear. I will not spend money on it. There are some things I would use, but the pack would have to be 90% off before I would even consider buying it. It is the very last kit on my list of the kits I don’t have.
Carnival Streetwear is okay. It does have some things I like and some things I just probably won’t use.
Love Decor to the Max. Certainly not good to put it all in one room. Your eyes would hurt, but as bits and pieces here and there, it really adds to a room. And the wallpaper is so fun. My favorite thing is the giraffe statue, because I like giraffes.
Moonlight Chic is mid, but in a good way. Nothing stands out, but it has a descent amount of wearable clothes.
Little Campers is soooo cute and great for me as a family simmer. Had I not won it, I would have bought it. First Fits Kit falls under the same category. Had I not won it, I would have bought it. Desert Luxe I got for free when EA gave it away and had they not, I would have seriously considered buying it. It’s not a definite like the other two, but a definite maybe.
Pastel Pop is pretty cute and at the time I won it, it was definitely the one I wanted the most. I love anything with a bed and this one not only came with a bed, but also a computer, a desk, and a lot of cute things that I like for kids rooms.
Ah, the Clutter kits. I don’t have them yet, but I actually like Bathroom Clutter more than Everyday Clutter. It gives us more light switches, the toilet paper gets more variety, which was needed in my opinion. When I get it, I am going to build toilet paper pyramids in some bathrooms. I definitely agree on the plunger. It could have been way better, and smaller.
Simtimates Kit looks nice, but I just don’t see it getting used much in my game play. Sims don’t tend to go around in their night clothes, so while I like the idea, I just don’t see it as practical. In TS2, sims would walk around the house in their lingerie after woohoo, so giving them good lingerie made sense, not so much here. I want it eventually, but I put the ten kits I don’t have in four tiers and it it’s in the third tier with Bust the Dust (4th is Modern Menswear, which is the only tier, I might not ever get).
Greenhouse Haven makes me smile so hard. See those windows and the door make it so I can recreate greenhouses from TS2 and anything, literally anything that lets me do something from TS2 (I found myself doing a happy dance to a piece of CC for a career outfit for a career I never used in TS2 and will never use as an outfit in TS4, so I do mean anything as far as I know) I want. I don’t care about the rest of the kit, but those windows and door are almost enough to make me go out and buy it, because the nostalgia is strong.
Basement Treasures is a mixed bag, mostly because of the disassembled heart bed, but I would definitely use most of the items in the kit a lot if I had it. I recently won a kit, first one in a while and had Book Nook not come out, I might have grabbed this one, but this bookworm needs her books.
The clothes from the Grudge Revival look okay. I recently went through and I think I’d probably get descent use out of about half the items, which is not the best marks, but descent enough.
And Book Nook was the most recent kit I won. I do cringe at the book lying open on the house thing, but otherwise, I really like the stuff that came with it. I will take as much variety in my books as possible. I probably still can’t recreate my own room (well, I can’t make my bed, because I have a loft bed with an end ladder rather than a side one, but I mean book cases), because the ten bookcases in my room are mostly not represented in the game, but it still makes it easier to make a bedroom filled with more books. Also the seating looks comfy.

Holy shit! How long did it take you to type all that?? bahahah

@@WilliamMullaney I typed as I watched. When you got to a new kit, I wrote my thoughts on it. I write a lot of long comments, so this is normal for me. I did like your video and your thoughts on the kits. I do agree with you that the price is too high, though I admit some kits I might pay full price for eventually (other than the one I already have). Most the only way I will get them is if they go on sale or I am given them.

@@WilliamMullaney Comceptionally I do not like kits. I think they are cashgrabby and do not give you a lot for your money. To be fair, TS2 stuff packs were $20 USD (if I recall correctly) and I counted the objects in one. The count was around 60 items, CAS and Build/Buy only. Now CAS did not have swatches, so any CAS items, each “swatch” counted as a single item other than hairs, which did have five swatches each. Kits seem to have hit a sweet spot of around mid twenties number of items. This means kits are a better deal than TS2 stuff packs, $15 USD for the same amount of items, but CAS has a bunch of swatches. And I paid full price for everything TS2. Granted their was a lot fewer overall packs, so that is relevant. Also relevant is with TS2 stuff packs you got 60+ items on a coherant theme. With kits, each theme is limited to a piece of the game and a smaller piece at that. Courtyard Oasis is a good example of this. It’s nice, but you are severally limited in what you can build with it. Still I do like content that is contained within various kits. I am still waiting for them to do a kit focused on my main content weakness (other than non-cleaning gameplay) and that is hairs. I go crazy over CC hairs and with all the kits we have gotten, we haven’t gotten a single hair style in a kit. We did get a couple of hairstyles outside a kit with Incheon Arrivals, which is definitely better, but we haven’t gotten any kits that are just a bunch of new hairstyles. Also vary few kits have stuff for children, fewer for toddlers, and of course none yet for infants. Also there has been nothing focused on elders and though both they and teens can wear almost all the CAS stuff the amount specifically aimed at teens is pretty limited, too. I mentioned I am a family simmer, so I want more stuff that isn’t aimed at single adult sims and I will take it however it comes . . . assuming it is not hundreds of dollars for a single item in which case, forget that.

I was a bit shocked, that the Kits cost by you 8$, in Germany they only cost 5€. This is much money, than when you have all 25 Kits, it cost for you 200$ and for me only 125€. so yes Idk, but everybody who read thid comment will know that

yeah that sounds about right atm, just using google, €125 is $204 AUD
It becomes more of a problem outside of the west though where it starts to not translate very well and you end up paying a lot more depending on where you live
