Just started watching the '83 Jamaica Inn, and as soon as the title credits started rolling, this was playing in my head. I can never read the name Trevor Eve ever again without bursting out laughing.
It's a shame they had to cut the 'Extreme Measures' sequence - firstly, because it reveals a lot about voiceovers and, secondly, the 'Blind Corner' line would have indeed been "the finest moment of the series".
Also, you don't get enough shows about this sort of male friendship. It's competitive but there's a constant need to say any old shit to make the other guy laugh.
