Thank you for uploading this video. I have a video ride on this route from downtown L.A. to Long Beach that was filmed by Carson Home Video TWICE! For those who has seen the part going south from L.A. to Long Beach, this route has cross-over in a very strange place. Normally when you see a tram route or streetcar route do a loop in a city, you see it running the loop in a counterclockwise form here in the U.S.
@@flattrain5834 yep I was born in 2002 and around 2003 on my first train trip I heard the voices I even remembered they announced the doors closing in Spanish
They use to run theses trains about 55mph between station with no slow downs or stops this conductor only seem to drive 35 mph and stopped in between stations at grade crossings for safety reasons, what use to be a 30 minute trip from long beach to downtown la is now 48 minutes on the rails
And the Los Angeles 🚇 from Picos Street downtown Los Angeles to downtown Santa Monica also quite a bit. Gold line from LAUPT to East Los Angeles and Azusa Critic College in North Pasadena also quite a bit. The green line to and from Long Beach Blvd and Norwalk also quite a bit.
Probably try it on the kinikasharo with a driver who has the shades up and without that screen filter. The one with the multiple holes in it. Ps, I butchered the name on that light rail manufacturer.
"For your own personal safety, please keep your phone & personal electronics out of sight".... but report any issues by calling this number. /Um...a little counter-intuitive, don'cha think??
It's a recommendation to keep your phone out of sight, it's not a rule for the train, thier basically saying if you lose or get your phone taken it's not the responsibility of metro, but you can have out and use your phone on the La Metro
Yes it is. Metro is still using both names, however, to avoid confusion and to slowly make "A Line" the more used phrase. My bet is that people won't stop saying blue line for years, itll be one of those phrases that old people say that you learn the history behind and say, "huh, neat."
Nice cab view of the new metro blue line! I don’t know when I am posting my cab view from Sunday!
Metro Sheep Productions I know there a pain to edit

Streetcar1664 yeah I’m surprised that they did a crossover instead of making the loop counterclockwise
I remember in 1990 first time riding the metro blue line light rail. I have a blue line rail car t shirt and Cap. Love this train
Execellent Video Nick
The new voice for announcements on the Long Beach section of blue line except at willow street after it arrives it switches back to the old voice
The Bus Photographer Of California at least they didn't put p3010 announcements on it
I like the old voices then the current voices cuase it adds a retro feeling to me
Like the ones from the 2000’s

Amazing cab view I miss the the old Welcome aboard Metro Announcement for P865/P2020. Soon all the lines will have Letters in the announcements 😂
Metro Rail In Los Angeles Production yeah miss the old days
I rode on the blue line on a regular basis between 1st Street in Long Beach to 7th Street in downtown Los Angeles quite a bit.
What P2020 car number did you made that cab view in?

They just opened the line and there were many technical difficulties
At 30:06 that pigeon had a death wish. What is it with all the birds wanting to commit suicide these days?
Amazing video though.
Pigeons seem to fly out of slauson very often.
From what I've heard it looks like the reopening was rushed. Are there a lot of small problems still?
Skye Higa still. I had a 15 delay

Scott Meister yeah you need your phone to call the number
You may also use the intercom on trains or at stations
Imagine somebody calling 911 from a station intercom because somebody was using their phone
Ha..

i don't see what's new.
Isn't the new change to A Line in effect now?
Charles D. Gossett no technically still blue

Yep I will probably call it blue line too because I think of New York’s A line
I live there
What's happened to the regional connector
That's under construction
Yes it is
@@flattrain5834 does the wall still exist or is there a tunnel for the regional connector
It looks like a garage door for a warehouse. I’ll post something in a couple days. I’ll post the link here
