I just noticed something as a New Yorker who. Rides the NYC MTA Transit everyday. Those Train Stations are starting to get packed! That's a good thing for LA Metro.
this was filmed when metro was running reduced service (20 minute headways compared to 10/12 minute headways) due to a collapse of the overhead catenary.
Those mixed traffic portions, especially near Santee, should've been elevated or a subway segment. Some grade separation down the street medians at least. Great video!
Hopefully they eventually extend that subway portion a good ways south of I-10 in the coming years (and get part of the E line in there as well)… I’d say elevated, but I greatly reckon that hardcore NIMBYism shuts that down any possible chance… As an outta towner looking in from the outside, that part along Washington Boulevard between Long Beach Avenue & the E line itself looks like it’s the main source of delays on the entire line notably excluding Long Beach… While the remainder of the line AWAY FROM the street running parts within Long Beach, South Central & Highland Park look mere notches below “Light Metro” standards reminiscent of St. Louis’s light rail system.
Hopefully someone films a Metro A Line (Blue) cab ride video in the future, from Downtown Long Beach to APU/Citrus College station in Azusa. It'll be great if the video were to be filmed onboard a newly rehabbed Siemens P2000 train, running the A Line in revenue service.
I hate to be a buzz kill but I watched this from the time it started in Azusa all the way till it got to Union station. Then all of a sudden the camera got fuzzy. Then it looked like they switched drivers and the new driver drove 2 miles an hour all the way through the tunnels until I got bored and stopped watching. Otherwise a video was awesome until that point. Maybe you should have waited for a different train to complete your video..... I don't know 😮💨
I hate to be a jerk but did THEY know the overhead wire was gonna collapse, FORCING REDUCED SERVICE ACROSS THE ENTIRE LINE? You're suggesting the videographer should have waited up to SEVERAL HOURS, if they even COMPLETED IT BY THEN. Maybe you should have thought to be a little kinder and/or show a little more patience...... I don't know 😮💨

Is that why it creeped through the entire subway portion 😤
Maybe the C line (Green) will also have more riders when it finally connects with the K line.
Nice shot dude. Nicely done catching the A line train making that straight shot from Azusa to Long beach on video!
Yeah!
The flat train cab view is way better
Fact: The metro A line is the longest light rail line in the United States of America
Yeah. Before the original A Train in NYC MTA Transit was the longest rail line in the USA. LA wanted to copy us Lol.
@@ChariotManGaming85It could still be considered the longest heavy rail line since yk. heavy rail in nyc
@@steamymemes7946 Yes sir!! You already know.
In the world.
@@mmara4932Isn't the Belgian tram the longest in the world?
this is a nice cab view it looks like your sitting next to the operator
Nice catch and shot

Thanks for this Drive and View. 👍☝️🔥
No problem 👍
I saw that this line will travel to Montclair in the future, that's like a two and a half hour video.
A megállók neveit jó lett volna látni,és ha a vezető elé helyezted volna a kamerát még tökéletesebb videó lett volna😊😊De így is élvezhető nagyon
1:01:53 Insane how rigid overhead catenary can just collapse.
Might be a bird or a homeless person poking on the wires.
Clumsy person trying and failing to steal the wires?
@@ronnyrueda5926 is very common this days people stealing wires
Does anyone know why metro has pedestrian signals at the entrance of metro tunnels?

Maybe one day!
It's still weird how the drivers of every P2550 have to make the door closing announcement themselves
That’s insane 😂
Do more cab views
The first camera was great the second is bizarre
YESSSS!!!! 😤😤😅
Irwindale station is the quietest station in the metro system.
It's all industrial around there, nobody lives there. They do make Huy Fong Sriracha sauce there though.

@angryfireball- Yes, like you!😍 Thanks for the excellent example 😍😘💯👍🏽
Metros announcements have become sloppy they should stick with one voice announcer
No text to speech announcements, plz.

Wait what's the gold line train doing on the blue line what the heck?
Its became part of the A line as a result of the Regional Connecter project
