Love the sound of that plucked piano.
Like this :)
The 'crazy pace' bit has got to be my favourite. Either that or the moments with the static.
Ur so pretty :D
You know what, I actually feel really inspired by your channel. The video you made a long time ago about canon is one that I repeatedly come back to as a reference. I love talking about technique and I'm thinking it might be an idea to record some of my own videos, documenting my own process. Can you imagine how cool it would be to have a little CZcams community of composers doing our thing and discussing and sharing techniques and ideas?
Thank you @CameronWattMusic for your kind words. Yes it’d be good to get a community of creatives !
I sometimes incorporate poetry into my electroacoustic compositions. I have just finished one called Luftmusik: Winds of Change, which centres around the idea of being more than my pain and has poetry based on that idea. Gonna upload it soon.
Brilliant! I’ll look out for this!
Not supriced.
Ah! I remember this piece! I really like this one.
I think you should be a little bit kinder to yourself, a lot of the time you seem to be quite harsh in your criticisms of the piece. And I get that; there is a place for post-hoc analysis and that's usually how I analyse pieces I've written - write the piece first and then reflect on how I felt about it, maybe considering what I might do differently the next time. If your criticisms feed into a positive process then I won't stop you. Just a reminder not to be too hard on yourself. (I hope that doesn't come across as super patronising and if it does then sorry!)
One thing I recommend trying is writing haikus and then writing miniatures inspired by the haiku. It's a useful exercise which I find really helpful.
Thank you! You make a good point, we sometimes forget to mention the positives in our own work. A balanced view is best.
