Nice comparison. I got a shirt that was the wrong size from Temu. I complained, got an immediate refund and they told me to keep the first one.
Long ago when I was a wee lad, my grandfather told me that it's a poor craftsman who blames his tools.
Thanks. More on the way.
If your timing isn’t urgent, I’ve had great experience with two brands sold on Banggood. Veiko squares and MFT clamps are of high quality at very reasonable price. Hongdui offers a premium miter gauge. In general I limit my purchases to measurement tools and clamps. Anything with a motor I avoid.
Good tip(s)!
I have a lot of experience with Temu returns and most of the time they refund with no return required.
That's interesting, I did not know that.
Interesting comparison, for the delivery times I would think that Amazon have those things in a US warehouse, where the Temu comes direct from China, it would not surprise me if all of them came out of the same factory anyway.
I agree with both your statements.
Temu returns are incredibly simple, easy and painless.
Thanks for watching and the Temu returns feedback.
Working with wood and not a 100% square is good enough. Also your square and clamps are not the same exact size, so price could be higher. Banggood have some high end woodworking tools that some might consider.
Agree on all points.
TEMU square was different size and therefore lower price...??
Thanks for your comment. I tried to purchase the exact same clamping squares from all online stores. As it turned out the Amazon square was just a bit larger than the Temu. In my experience with these types of tools, the larger the tool the larger the price. Given that, I expected the Temu square to not only cost less than the Amazon one, but a lot less due to its size being smaller.
I disagree with Temu's performance. The nut was not a nice screwing experience. Also, you only checked 1 of each of the clamping squares.
I think I understand that your nut comment is referring to the Temu square not spinning on easily. Perhaps, that should have been a deduction for the Temu squares.
Good catch: After reviewing the video, I noticed, that I didn't check the second of each pair on camera. So off camera, I checked, and the seconds were square. Now the issue was should I reshoot the testing of the squares or let it go. Since it wouldn't have changed my scoring, I decided to let it go. In the future, I will make sure that all critical parts are checked on camera.
You seem to be comparing apples to apples, Amazon is full of the same items as Temu now, you have to be careful when ordering from either place by comparing the prices, most times Temu is cheaper if you are willing to wait the extra time it takes to ship. I always google every item before ordering and compare the different sites prices and Amazon's customer ratings.
My overall goal was to compare the same product from both online retailers and see which is the best (quality and price, etc.). In most cases I can find the exact same product, if not then I try and pick the one that matches the best. Many of the products seem to come from the same manufacturer, but are sold at different prices at different stores. If quality is the same (not always) then buy the least expensive. I hope these comparison videos help you to decide.
@@victorywoodworksmost of the time Amazon sellers are just dropshipping from temu though
I did not know that.
Lose that irritating background music, for Pete's sake!!!
Sorry about that. Is it the music itself or is it too loud? Any suggestions?
@@victorywoodworksThe music has that southern rock vibe which is cool but I find music to be too much of a distraction from listening to your voice. I never listen to music while working in my shop as I find that it too takes away from my attention.
Thanks for the feed back. In my newer videos' (and going forward) I am toning down the music.
