"We don't even know what our cage looks like because we have never seen it from the outside." - Gore Vidal.
Perfect quote for this video. Just reading the comments section must be difficult for the hosts to compute here, as it's hard when everyone is saying what you're swimming in is terrible. Not the easiest of reactions, I'd have thought...
1. "Unalive" is a social media savvy way of saying "murdered".
2. It's very American of you to assume that an American abroad is a "cash cow" and that you're special.
3. "Proximity". I spent 5 days travelling in a circular route between Spain, France, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, and Italy. It was like visiting 5 different planets with friendly people, beautiful scenery, and without a visa.
4. What a shame that the independence that Americans fought so hard for has now locked them into servitude.
Unalive I think describes more an emptiness in life, at least in this example
@@arnodobler1096 in this example it refers to them being killed
With regards to your point n.2: I didn't like that either. What's wrong with a country using incentives to get Americans to retire to their shores so that they can use a strong currency (the dollar) to invest back in their own country? Everyone benefits. It's a very self-centered and selfish attitude some Americans have: think everyone just wants to take from them because they are rich and powerful. The reason Europe works and why people are content here is because we don't have that sort of attitude. Also, the US has a history of meddling in the affairs of Latin American countries. They do this partially to keep countries unstable and poor (so that they won't pose an economic threat to the US) then they complain about those nasty Mexicans crossing the border (most in search of a better life and not to commit crime). Oh, sure they offer piecemeal solutions and "aid" but I think if we were to do an honest evaluation, and consider a whole series of factors, we probably would find that the US takes more than it gives to Latin America. So, it's hypocritical for Americans to chastise these countries for trying to do better for themselves (n.b.: while offering something valuable in return since it sounds like the Costa Rican deal is a give and take situation). I'm disappointed in Daniel especially being of Latin heritage himself.
@@anta3612 don't misunderstand me. Individual Americans are lovely. We get a few if them in Wales, I just don't like the US apparatus. Still, I hope Americans get the freedom they deserve.
@@StephMcAlea I agree. I lived in the States for a number of years (now am back in the UK). Individual Americans are lovely, but their government does a lot of shady stuff and brainwashes their people. The Latin Americans I met, while living there, were lovely people but there's so much prejudice towards them. Also, it's a common concept in the US that the rest of the world milks them/wants to be them or take away what they have etc. I put this down to brainwashing and the fact that most Americans don't get to travel much and see the rest of the world for themselves.
I grew up in what was technically a war zone, northern ireland in to '80s, and we never had any gun violence in any school.
Same here hi
Yeah it was in every pub, hall and in the streets.
yeah too busy attacking the English schools, public transport etc
@@theaces3697 think of a pice of paper, catholics in 1 corner, wanting equal rights, loyalists/unionists/protestants in the opposite corner refusing & attacking catholics. In 3rd corner the ruc (who killed the 1st victim of the troubles by beating him to death) then you have british army in the 4th corner who also killed civil rights protesters. What do you think catholics/nationalists/republicans were going to do?
@@michaelmcardle Go to Éire and murder the postal workers?
In Denmark no one thinks less of you if you work at a McD, we like you for who you are, not what you are.
You mean more like 'what you do' than 'what you are'. Being an arsehole falls under the 'what you are' tag.
i would honestly hate living in america. it seems terrible
I'd rather live in the dumping ground 😉

It is bro
Unless you have money !
Yep
I think you lads are great, but Costa Rica has universal healthcare for all citizens, not just just affluent immigrants. It's one of the few Latin American countries to do this
Sorry mate most people who are expats in Costa Rica take a quick trip to the US to get issues taken care of just like the locals who know the level of medical care they have, no matter if it is free or not.
@@omegadivingacademy7937 More US Americans go abroad for treatment than the other way around
@@arnodobler1096 I can see that, it seems more countries have more free health care than others, I'm British and my cousin from Australia came here to visit and his partner had an accident and ended up with a broken arm and he was literally surprised he didn't need to pay for his treatment n all
Costa Rica also has no military.
Healthcare for all if the best freedom ever.
All hail Nye Bevan for giving the UK the NHS
The gift that keeps on giving no matter how much people abuse it
She didn't say that American immigrants get free health care, she said everyone gets free health care. Same as a lot of other countries.
AMERICANS pay for the ISRAELIS to have free health care but yet AMERICAN'S don't have it?? Kinda ironic isn't it..
A few years ago I visited the US, we were invited to a pre-Christmas drinks event. The first question I was asked was, what work do you do, and the second question was how much did I earn in that financial year. I did manage to politely avoid answering 😂😂😂
Cockneys in the UK do this all the time, it's an opening for them to brag about how much more they earn
I love answering that question!
With oh a lot! But I can tell you 40% of my salary is in the highest tax bracket in Denmark! That bracket is 67% tax.
They always loose their mind when I mention my taxes. And I pay them happily, or well it gets handled automatically!
They always ask why don’t you move!
Well my entire education, healthcare, my entire life. That was because of my dad and his dad paid taxes to give me the best possible future prospects! To succeed in life!
I ask how much school debt they are in, and the amount they owe to pay off their student debt is absurd, and when I tell them that I have zero debt and that the state actually paid me to go to school! They loose their mind!
The first time I heard how few paid days leave Americans have, I was completely shocked. You have such an amazingly diverse country of landscapes and cities that you could explore, but no time to do it, never mind going further afield to experience other countries and cultures. It's so sad. You guys deserve to enjoy your lives too.
i had to google "sick days" what it means 🤔
@@arnodobler1096 in the UK it means that if you are ill and cannot go to work, you receive paid time off during the time you are sick/ill/injured. It is totally separate from Annual Leave, which is your paid time off work for holidays (we call it holidays, but you don't have to go anywhere!) Usually around 30 days per tax year (april-april), plus bank holidays, the exact number and timing of these varies in the different countries of the UK.
Both "Sick leave"/"Sick Days", and Annual Leave (holidays, paid time off for yourself) are also separate from Parental Leave. I think the standard in the UK is pretty paltry still for new father's, I think they get 2-4 weeks off, maternity leave is, iirc, one year during which your job is safe etc, and usually I think pay is like so many weeks full pay, so many at 75%, some at 50, and the last 3 months (if the individual wants to take they don't have to) I think might be unpaid or statutory idk. One key thing also is that during your time off, eg a woman who takes a full year off maternity leave still accrues her other rights to paid time off, so still has Annual Leave. Oh and parental leave for new parents also applies to adopting parents, paid time off to bond with your new child.
@@theinvisibleneonrainbowzeb2567 i m German
Worked for a company for a good few years, my leave went from 25 days to 30 days plus the bank holidays, Americans are butt fucked without lube to be honest left right and centre.
Yeah really crazy. I have 10 weeks paid vacation every year. And i think most European countries also have unlimited sickdays. Crazy that the richest country in the world treats their employers like this. Basically to the point of slaves.
Is not only in Germany. It’s all over Europe better.
I'm 40 years old and have lived in 2 continents (Europe and Oceania), 3 countries and over 10 different cities all together. None of the above involve the USA.
I was mesmerised by the portrayal of cities like NY in movies and series and really wanted to go, but all the reasons stated in the videos you watched for leaving America, are the exact same ones that I never want to visit anymore. Many of us feel that way now.
It's in the people's hands to change your country, it ain't easy or quick but it must happen. Don't be complacent. For instance, just accepting that you pay hundreds of dollars for patent-free, life-saving drugs like insulin, which are free everywhere else is a shame. Demand more, and vote accordingly. Know your human rights.
Insulin isn't free everywhere around the world though. Even in Denmark diabetics pay for Insulin. Obviously not the same price as in the States. However no-one should have to pay for a medication to keep them alive, in my honest opinion.
@@alexandriah2412 maybe I needed to be specific, type 1 diabetics don't pay for insulin, type 2 usually pay 10-15% of the price which itself is much lower. I guess something similar happens in your country.
@alexandriah2412 in uk I don't pay I'm on two types and all my medication is free they have preventative medicine if diabetes is not controlled it can lead to more problems like amputation which leads to more expenses for adaptations to your house home care etc
I am French, I live on the border with Luxembourg and Germany, I am 1 hour from Belgium and in 3h30 by road I am half of Europe ^^ and whatever the country, have a family life happy is a productive worker. 7 hours a day of work in France is also more productive than 12 hours in the USA because he feels good, worries less about his family and his life. even if there are also bad things in europe, overall, i don't envy the usa. these videos make us realize that we are lucky not to live there
Central German here, 350km to 5 countries, Luxemburg and France are around 200 to 250 km more
In the UK we take the NHS for granted really - I spent quite a few summers in the USA and whenever I was about to leave, my Dad would lecture me about not getting ill or doing anything stupid that might result in my needing hospital treatment!
dont worry the torries will take care of that😈
Just get good travel insurance.
My sister took ill when she was on holiday in Florida and when she went to the hospital the first thing they asked her for was her credit card which she did not have on her because her husband who was out playing golf had the card and my sister was in agony and later had her gall bladder removed. My sister is from Scotland where medical is FREE. The final bill was just over $25,000 and luckily she had health insurance which is a major necessity if you visit the US
dont worry about the NHS, the Tories are busy to crush it...
after the UK left the EU, the Tories trying to sell it to the USA!
to get a trade deal they need so much!
A lot of Americans move to Costa Rica because it's safe. I also expect the food is a lot better. We have american tourists every summer in ireland you have to take a detour around some them on the sidewalk. We are thinking of making it into a sport.
I was very recently diagnosed with an incredibly rare disease which attacked my kidneys and spent nearly 2 weeks on a specialist renal ward where I was looked after exceptionally well. I now have an infusion of life sustaining antibodies every 2 weeks and this medication was until recently the most expensive medication in the world.
I will not receive a bill, nor will my wages be garnished.
In another country, there's a good chance I'd be in renal failure and dead in maybe 3-6 months.
Status seems to be a big thing in USA. I remember the face of Ryan Friedlinghaus from West Coast Customs when they tried to expand their business to Europe and opened a shop in Berlin, Germany: First customer was Wladimir Klitschko, heavy weight boxing world champion, in his Smart. Ryan was so confused...
They had to close their business a little bit later, because they had to learn the hard way that tuning in Germany / Europe is more about quality and excellence than bling bling covering crap.
In New Zealand we have universal healthcare, 20 free hours of child care for children under 5, 3 weeks holiday leave, 5 days sick leave when you start a new position. children are educated to a generic curriculum that does not change, no matter your income, private or public schools. We focus on nurturing the child/person as a whole, not just sports or academia, but nurturing the best person they can be.
I’m in Australia and am unwell and have had about ten hosp visits this year. I had to give up work and all my healthcare is free. So is our education. Yes we pay some tax but not a lot. Plus we have good gun restrictions (like I’ve never seen a gun), minimal religion and good maternity leave. Plus my daughter can walk street at night and i always leave my front door unlocked even when no one home. My parents recently went to NZ and left back door wide open for the dog.. lol
Another great reaction. Speaking as a European we do tend to work to live rather than living to work. We love to spending our free time with family and friends and of course our annual leave allows us time off work to recharge, relax & travel, the impact of this an our mental health is not to be under estimated 😊
Its not just your lack of mandatory vacation days, its the lack of paid sick leave meaning many use their vacation days as sick days to prevent lost earnings for being ill. This seriously limits your opportunity for travel.
Another really interesting episode! I could not cope without my holidays! Thanks guys xx
You mention the 1 person that may be a bad story, living on the street, even that person has free healthcare when needed, and people generally will try to help that person… it’s like that across most of Europe, I know it is where I live in Wales gents. Keep up the good work 👍
That is true. We don't have streets of homeless people and families who are homeless.
There's a homeless crisis in nearly every European country. Free healthcare, you mean those shit rundown hospitals with overworked staff, every winter before the pandemic there were hospital scandals around Europe with people dying on trolleys in waiting rooms. You're in Wales, the NHS is a shit show, staff strike every year its run so poorly and they get paid shite. There a private hospital close to me, absolutely fantastic, state of the art, clean, no packed waiting rooms. Wakey wakey. Government can't organise a piss up in a brewery.
A note on the 30 days holiday, this is rarely allowed to be taken in one go... 6 weeks off work would be a no from employers... Where I work we can book in 2 weeks max without permission, anything longer we must ask our team lead.
The comment at 7:30 is particularly relevant to the US.
The US does a lot of things right and it does a few things very wrong *JUST LIKE EVERY OTHER COUNTRY*, but the biggest failing the US has is the idea of "American exceptionalism" which goes far beyond pride in some very, very significant accomplishments and extends to the idea that the US can't do anything wrong - that blindness to the very real problems that exist is incredibly crippling; if you don't know you have a problem, you never get around to fixing it. I think a lot of that stems from a lack of exposure to other countries and cultures - to see that problems can be solved in many different ways. I realise it's not practical, but I honestly think that if every American were to spend 1-2 years outside the US after high school, something that is extremely common in Europe, so many problems in the US could be fixed.
Bigger and Better than everyone and everything else... 😒
Gluwine(?) and Beer are separate beverages. Gluwine is a mulled wine that is popular during the holidays if I recall correctly. And German Beer is Fantastic.
[EDIT] - With regards to the Food Tasting Better or being better, I think that has to do with the fact that in America, we put a lot of Sugar, Cornstarch and other Chemical Preservatives in our food - it can be surprising how pervasive it is.
Glühwein^^ And yeah, it's basically the staple of any Christmas market here in Germany.
@@StevenFox80 We have it in the UK also - we call it mulled wine. In fact, we several other mulled drinks as well - try them all at a Christmas market and you won't be able to find the way out!

As someone who lives in the UK, so I can only talk from my experience. I think when it comes to relationships, class status has a lot to do with it. Lower income individuals (I've found) tend to judge others on content of character, more so than social standing. It could simply be (at least for me) when you're part of that group. You're generally taught nobody is better than anyone. Unfortunately (here in the UK at least) wealth and an upper social class, comes with arrogance. I apologise if I made it too political.
Hm. I'm sort of middle class, though my parents started out poor (their parents were working class), and I'm poor myself. I've worked a lot with (i.e. on the same level as) working class people, and at least half of the time have found them to be the most arrogant class - if you're working class you're automatically a superior human being, supposedly. I have also too often found them to be dyed-in-the-wool dishonest, and entirely resistant to change of any kind. In general, I've found much more broad-mindedness and openness among the other classes, more interest in changing and learning, and in culture. Just my point of view, of course.
Have to laugh. I find working class people to be entirely judgemental about class and you have just proved it.
It's B.S. !!!
More B.S.!
Costa Rica has Universal Healthcare for all, not just retired people !!!!
30 days vacation is 30 work days based on a five day week.. It equals 6 weeks off work to recharge your batteries and enjoy your family..
I am not American but I always wanted to go there before, but I end up here in Melbourne Australia . Which is I'm grateful of this country I call home. Been here for 18 years. Working in the same company for 17 years I can have 6 weeks holiday with pay, I have 6 months long service leave that I can use and that with pay too. I can have sick leave, I had maternity leave, I can do study leave or carers leave. I was very religious back home but I love Australia because they don't judge you because you are not religious. I can be who I am here and no one will judge me.
My kids are safe, I've got teenagers and they use public transport by themselves..
Interesting stuff - especially that throw away line about the channel supporting both of you now! The ex-pat stuff was good too! Keep it up fellas!
Thanks for the video I really enjoy watching you guys.
Just imagine a full years paid mat leave and no hospital fees.
The cycle of school shooting after school shooting in the US and lack of action to solve it why? Here in Scotland and other developed or even non developed nations.1 was enough for things to change
Unalived is not a "political" (maybe you meant politically correct?) way to say killed. It's just that some social media platforms demonatize or outright ban videos with words like "killed" or "suicide".
Hi guys! I've been watching your channel for a while now! It's awesome 👍 I'm British, I'm from Birmingham England 'which makes me a brumie' lol! Obviously the USA has a vast array of different experiences, the place is huge. But As an Englishman, I would be hard pressed to name some where in the States I would rather live than England.
To be fair, I have noticed that the uk is turning more into a mini usa and I am disliking it. In Greece, you are respected as a human being, no one cares what you do for work, how much you earn etc, the food is phenomenal and the people are so much happier... here in the uk it has been degrading for decades and since brexit, it has shown itself to be almost unbearable. My issue is my wife and kids are settled here and military service for my greek passport is an issue but every time I go back to Greece, I wish I were there permanently

She works in a travel agency for Americans
Really? Costa Rica is heavily dependent on the dollars of American ex-pats? I like you guys, but some of your takes show ignorance in basic things. Is this because your educational system is what it is?
I can actually understand why a lot of Americans don't travel outside the US. It's not just the lack of holiday days, although that's obviously a big reason, but also because the US is a really big country with a lot of different environments and places to see so you can have similar experiences simply by travelling to another part of the US that I in the UK couldn't get without travelling outside my country.
Oh i dunno. I went to Devon on me jollybobs one year and we got VERY lucky with the weather and i couldn't have enjoyed my sun, sea & sand hol more if i'd been in the med to be honest. I'm also freakishly lucky whenever i go to (costa del) South Sheilds weirdly. It is all weather dependant of course but there are some cracking places to holiday in the UK, never mind the rest of the British isles.
@SadPeterPan1977 .... That's more to do with the fact that the USA states equate to the countries of Europe.
My daughter has just spent 3 weeks in Seoul, Osaka and Tokyo. She's off too Madrid and Brussels for Christmas. She's a similar age to you boys and gets 5 weeks holiday in her job as a dental tech.
I have long time acquaintances and friends (not close friends) that I have no idea what they do for a job still (and they don’t know what I do), it’s never really come up, whereas in the US it’s pretty much the first question I get asked
Allright lads. That's definitely a great thing about Europe. I have just had a long weekend in Ireland, I went to see a gig. I've had other similar weekends in Holland and Greece, and holidayed longer a whole bunch of other places. All of them different. Best wishes lads.

About the German Comment in the Video "Glühwein, Bier and fresh Bread". Glühwein (not Glühweinbier) usually with fresh Cinnamon and fresh vanille and maybe some citrus minted warm wine (warm as in cooked in a hot tub to about 40-50°C (~105°F-120°F) or above) served usually on christmas in normal cups.
Bier and Fresh Bread is off course self explanatory.
Hi guys! Do you not know gluhwein ? It’s a type of mulled wine from German-speaking countries made from red wine with cinnamon and other herbs and spices which is heated to make a fantastic Christmas drink. If you go to a German village or town at Christmas when you arrive and walk around the street markets there which are everywhere what you notice first is the rich warm smell of the Gluhwein which is sold from street venders. You will also note is the other spirits on shelves behind the Gluhwein Boilers with taps on , you get the choice of the mixer spirits to add to the Gluhwein. I know because I was in the Royal Air Force and was posted to Germany for a total of 10yrs in the 70s and 80s. Also don’t forget the Bratwurst and other goodies that are bar- B-Q Ed in the streets. Germany is wonderful for food and drink

In Europe we have employment rights that would constitute a company acting illegally if it should fire that employee if he/she wanted to leave because of a tornado (provided we're talking about a normal good working employee).
Of course, we don't have tornados, but I remember in the past where this right was granted due to inclement weather, example snow.
It's not Gluhwein Beer, lol. Gluhwein is a kind of spiced wine, usually served warm. Beer is... beer! :)
Public health care is a human right not owing a gun !
I've always said it's not what you own it's what people you know are willing to lend you. It's how you find your friends and how to work out who to lend your tools to.
The 30 days plus vacation in Europe is fully paid for by the employer. Some countries h@ve even more holidays depending on how long you work there.
I think you guys understand completely. A lot of countries look after their citizens to give them a balance where people can work to live, not live to work. Have time for leisure and spending time with family.....have correct priorities, not just about the consumerism of having lots of things.
I've seen a lot of these videos and from the stories (and common knowledge) I can't understand why people want to move to America.
Another grate vid lads keep it up
When I was still in the army in Germany, at the weekend we used to debate which country we were going to visit for a night out, let alone trying to find better club than the 2nd rate disco in the next village.
Full time work is usually 35 hours per week, I get 33 paid days holiday per year plus 8 public days, this is 8 weeks paid holiday per year. If I'm sick, I'm paid 6 months full salary then 6 months half salary but as I have employer benefits after 6 months I would be paid 75% of my salary until I retired!!!
The work life balance is the thing that messes the US up the most
Prescriptions in wales uk are free too. We also have our amazing nhs
In the USA there are more churches than there are schools. Now think about that and suddenly it all makes sense. 🤦🤷

I enjoy the video and love how the video you are showing is large
If you are poor you make real friends because you have nothing to give each other but genuine friendship, the more affluent are playing the game on who can raise who's profile
You are great guys. Love your openness. America can’t be so bad when it has people like you.
That last one... Americans think nothing of a road trip of hours or days but won't catch an aeroplane to another country that talks just as long... Americans are isolated because they want to be...
How many Americans go on about a days long road trip and yet refuse to get on an 8-10 hour flight because it's "too long"?
As for holidays/vacation time slavery didn't end in America it was absorbed into the culture and softened it's approach, redefined and retitled consumerism and capitalism. No one in the USA is choosing to do what they do, or for how long, or why they are forced through financial slavery. This is why the social issues are never addressed, it's part of the system that maintains control and authority over you. You're ALL slaves to a system that financially breaks you and then controls your life with a pretended there is a better life around the corner you can never reach.
If you get out of hand it's easy to break you with health debt or a vexatious litigious society that those with money to enter those without even further... Once in debt you are effective forced into a life of labour with no self control or dignity... The credit system is key to that, with the added pressure of the consumer society and the pressure to keep up - you simply can't win against a system that's designed to create your own cage, the bars aren't iron they're financial, and your constantly chasing mire to get out of the hole you dig yourself into from university debt to hone purchase to car and then all the insurances and even then you are liable for extreme costs at any time due to injury or illness - your entire life you live 8n fear, playing catch-up. Then to top it off your given a personality of positivity and denial that things are that bad, constantly espousing the benefits and beauty of the system you live under... It's the slave 9rausing his slave master for the guilded cage they live in.
It's good to see you both take on more serious topics, turns out you both get really interested in each others opinion. Good video i enjoyed this one!
We have tons of churches here in Germany, but it's a dying business. We have signs at the entrance to the village that indicate the service times so that anyone even knows when they are.
Western European countries have a lot of the same problems that America has but not on the same scale in most cases but the work-life balance is so much better in regards to holidays, sick pay, maternity/paternity leave and in most cases the way you're treated as an employee. Healthcare and Education are also a massive plus. You can be subject to assault and violence anywhere here but you're extremely unlikely to be shot by anyone.
I would take these "testimonials" with a pinch of salt. By calling for Americans who live abroad and would never go back - it's a self-selecting group of people replying. If the call was for Americans who had lived abroad but went back to America, there would be another section of people extolling the virtues of America...
For instance - the woman who eulogises about Costa Rica - look at some figures:
"Costa Rica's 2019 homicide rate is 11.2 per 100,000 compared with the UK's 0.97 per 100,000. " "the United States, that country’s homicide rate at last count (2018) was 5.3 per 100,000"...So she and her child are 10 times more likely to be murdered in Costa Rica than in UK for example, twice as likey to be murdered as in the US. Doesn't sound great to me... Plus cholera and malaria.
The grass is always greener. Sometimes, it's not that the grass is greener, but that the grass seems greener compared with the old hated grass...
As a brit we realize USA is still a young country and growing he in UK and Europe we had a lot longer to grow
US is a PUPERTARY Country
i am really worried why aliens in american movies always attacks U.S. lol , btw nice reaction and hello from europe
People on TikTok had to make up the word "unalive" because of the dumb censorship on the words "kill", "murder", & "suicide". I can understand wanting to censor cuss words but those words? So dumb.
Europe has its faults but it still strives to do good for its citizens. Americans are lovely, kind people.....America itself does not treat its people very well. The healthcare there is shocking, I thought Ireland was bad but when we went to visit America we saw just how bad the healthcare system is, really hope Americans wake up and vote for better politicians who are not just out for themselves but for their constituents.
Other countries in Europe are available.
I’m British but lived in several European countries, including Germany and loved them all, even Moscow!
*love Europe,hate the EU.
Same
Moscow is not in Europe 🤣🤣🤣
@@peterang6912 ok Mr. Pedantic. Thanks for that.
Ditto. Many people seem to be confused between Europe, European countries and the Brussels-based political organisation known as the European Union.
crazy that americans dont get paid vacation and maternity leave
Part of the problem with US churches is the tax exemption. The church (any denomination church) should not be exempt from taxes!
During the first lockdown my husband had a cancerous kidney removed he now follow up appointments. I have asthma and sleep apnea. I've had 4 operations on my shoulder, which had a break in usual place. It just not want to repair. I've had an hiatus hernia operation. I've lost count of the xrays, MRIs, blood test and other test that I've had and physio cost me nothing. Both of us have have arthritis. My husband is having breathing problems so is having tests and is going to an op on his knee because of arthritis. I have a sleep apnea machine and check ups for free. Until your 60 you pay £9.35 per item, no matter what it is, but if you have certain illness you get your prescription free too.
watch NALF with NHL in Munich great video!
None of these contributors were alive when America was THE finest place to live. I'm a Brit and I had the privilege of living there for three years spanning the late 80s/early 90s. Back then everyone I encountered was courteous, even-handed and intelligently engaged. Something just seems to have gone wrong around the time of Bush Jnr, then on in to Obama (charismatic but incompetent), then Trump (don't get me started) and now, really, is Biden the best this once - and still can be - stunning nation has to offer?
Please tell me there's a way out.
The crasiest thing that america has done I think is where the private prison system in some states can actually sue the state (thus tax players money) for it not providing enough prisoners to work in their prisons, the state actually has an incentive for crime to happan!
thanks for the video, do others like this!
The whole Costa Rica remark is so condescending, no bueno 😅
Gluwein (pause), beer and fresh bread. Two separate drinks! Don't go looking for 'gluwein beer' lads!
Go on, look for it - you can get mulled ale in some English pubs.
@@carolineb3527 True but it ain't Gluwein beer!
@@themacraecase4323 Glühwein litteraly glowing wine. dry red wine spiced with cardamom pods, clove, allspice, cilantro, star anise, aniseed, some orange slices, cinnamon sticks and sugar.
Heated in a cooking pot at "low" temperature (if to hot the alcohol evaporate) for some time.
Then put the (filtered) "Drink" in a pottery mug and drink it hot.
Trips to German Beer Festivals is a popular destination for many Brits
Btw if an American lives anywhere in the world they still pay American tax on income and savings. One of the only countries that does that. Just to prepare your tax return costs 800 dollars to the American accountant
Unless they renounce their US citizenship - then they are only taxed in their new country of residence/citizenship.
I know Europe is made up of many countries, some of which are tiny, but overall Europe covers a slightly larger area than the USA.
I think I remember a pamphlet my dad got. Not the basis of an argument
They weren't saying, necessarily, that it was about what someone can do for you, re' their job, though it's interesting that that's what you thought they meant, lol. I'm sure that plays a part too but primarily what they were saying is that people work to live, rather than live to work and that people are judged more for their personal qualities, rather than by what job they do, or how much they earn. All generally speaking, of course. :)
You guys should react to An Audience With Billy Connelly. You can find it on youtube it's one of his best shows.
Great video 👍 Lot's of churches is mostly about tax!
After watching you Gentlemen For a few months I feel sad for your citizens. It sounds terrible! But what wonderful music you have created over the years. That's about it.
Wow I was so surprised to hear how many churches yous have
Costa Rica has nothing to do with their move from the US. It’s close to the US, so it’s convenient to visit family and friends etc… it’s the affordable healthcare and child safety at school is the true driver for the move. I have friends that have moved to Spain, for the same reasons and many more. I’m from Australia and we live better than people living in the US. Not being awful but you guys are getting a bad deal when it comes to wages, work life balance and healthcare. You shouldn’t become bankrupted for getting sick, having a baby or a life saving surgery. Nor should you be sacked or not paid for being sick…… the list goes on.
It's like this ... this weekend we go to Rome for 30euro plane ticket, next one Barcelona, after that Paris ... and so on.I can hook in the car and after 3h to be on the beautiful beach in Greece.Or hop on the plane and in 1.30h to be in Sicily to dive in the crystal blue warm sea.And sooo many opportunities
Thanks
Thanks James! 🍻

Costa Rica has the lowest poverty rate in Central America. The unemployment rate flies between 7 - 8%
