Was the cranberry sauce instead of red pepper jelly? or was the red pepper jelly still layered on top of the mascarpone cheese/cranberry mixture? I like mascarpone cheese much more than cream cheese.@@katrinajones8788
@@josi7690 Yes, cranberry sauce was used instead of red pepper jelly. However, some variations of the recipe add jalapeno peppers to spice it up, but I prefer just the sweetness of the cranberry sauce paired with the mild flavor of the mascarpone cheese. I too like mascarpone better than cream cheese. It has such a smooth and velvety texture. It's a great recipe considering there's only two ingredients!

We do a similar version, but ours is just the block of cream cheese topped with apricot preserves that have been warmed up slightly with horseradish and a pinch of cayenne pepper. I believe it’s called Jezebel Dip. Thanks for all you share! 🙂
I've been making this for years. It's really delicious. It's getting more difficult to find red pepper jelly in my area. I have made a variation using mint jelly too with cayenne pepper. I enjoy your recipes and videos.

I made something similar. I used mascarpone cheese and stirred in a little homemade cranberry sauce. It was awesome but this looks good too!
