Just found out that he passed today (5/29/2021) of cancer. Such a horrible disease! I grew up with his songs! My condolences and prayers go out to his loved ones! I know after a struggle with drug addiction, he became a man of faith in his later years. The most important thing while living on this side of heaven is to surrender to and serve the Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He only can bring forgiveness of past sins and eternal hope after we leave this earth!

Sadly his wife found out just about 5 days before he died that she too has cancer. She’s had surgery and radiation and is doing well.
He was drop dead gorgeous with the voice of an angel!!! RIP Billy Joe!😢
So true! He had beautiful blue eyes. So sad that we will never see those beautiful blue eyes again. I was so heartbroken when I found out that he had passed away from stage 4 lung cancer. He didn't have a chance of surviving that horrible cancer. I loved his voice! He was one of my favorite singers in the 70's. There will never be another BJ Thomas. May he rest in peace. ;(
Not only dead drop gorgeous with a fantastic voice but a nice human being, just so nice and down to earth. I will listen to my fav of his song " rain drops..." till the day I die! Love his voice.

Absolutely!! He was so good looking!! Wow!! I loved him in the 70's. He had a beautiful voice!! However, I never knew anything about his life or drug addiction. I think it's so sad that he died within two months of being diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. He didn't have a chance in hell of surviving this horrible cancer. I hope and pray the scientists and researchers would find a cure for cancer. It would help so many people live a long and happy life. My condolences for his wife, his children, his grandchildren and his family and friends. May he rest in peace. 💖😥

Gorgeous! I got to met him a few times and he was so friendly and kind to all the fans took pics and chatted with us, super nice guy. I did not know he was sick either. I will miss him. He sang at Elvis's funeral, Elvis loved him. God Bless him.

Seen him in person at a theatre in my town back in the mid 90's during an afternoon concert, where there were only maybe 40 people there. He walked out and you could see a shock and disappointment in his face but by the end of the concert he said felt really loved and was glad he came to do sing for us. What a great guy. May he rest in peace on his cloud of joy.

Met him in the mid 90's at a show in Tennessee. Very genuine person, and a great voice. He is definitely missed.
One day we went into a Home Depot for a toilet plunger. Neither my husband nor I wanted to walk out with the thing. We had a 2 year old son who happily carried it over his head like an umbrella singing "Raindrops keep fallin' on my head..." we didn't even know he knew the song.

B.J. was another in a long line of underated singers. He had a great voice & range. If you want to hear his range listen to Don't Worry Baby from 1977. Saw him in the 80s when he was into country music. What Ever Happened to Old Fashioned Love always reminds me of my parents.

There are two gospel singers I love to listen to everyday: B.J. Thomas and Keith Green. They're both now in the presence of the Lord singing praises to Him with their beautiful songs and voices. Rest in peace my favourite and best singer, B.J. Thomas.
I saw BJ in Disneyland in 1973 right after he got cleaned from his issues. He sang Raindrops with his hat and tight jeans. It was a magical moment. May God keep you in his arms eternally.

I loved those days, 60’s & 70’s. I remember when the movie, “ Butch Cassidy & the Sundance kid “ had BJ’s song, “ Raindrops falling on my Head. “ It played on the radio, then more songs followed, loved them all. My heart goes out to his family and friends. 😪♥️🌺🌹
