He is with God. His memory, for those of us who didn't know him, lives in our enjoyment and love of his voice and the songs he sang. In my humble opinion, he is one of the great ones. What a life. Bless his wife, family and friends.

I'm 53 and can never remember a time in which I wasn't a fan of his music.
I cried when I heard this a few days ago.. one of the best voices in the world. Smooth as butter. Loved him for 50 years. Mahatma a blessing he has been to us, let's all pray for this legend

One of the most purest voices that I have had the opportunity to hear. I played your music on all my dates in high school in the early seventies. Throughout your tests and treatments when you physically and emotionally feel like you cant go on trudge forward with determination and fight like you have never fought before. Dont let this get you down. God is right there beside you. Pray to him or pray to him thru a Saint. I'm guessing you have your own favorite Saints, if not I will share mine. Saint Padre Pio is great as is St. Anthony. Both will intercede to God for you. I wish you the best of luck and I too will be praying for you.

My wife and I saw him 20 yrs. ago in the Palm Beach, FL. airport and he looked very weak and feeble back then. Hooked on a feeling was one of my favorite songs when I was in college in the late 60's. He sang from the heart and that is why so many of us loved him.

Such a good singer and gentlemen, I managed a kitchen collection store for over 10 years in the Hillsboro Tx. Outlet store. He would come in ever so often . He loved to cook. Then I opened a Harry And David store in the same mall again for over 10 years. He came in and shooed several time for our Hams, Cheese cakes, Trail mixes. And our famous pepper and onion relish. Plus I made several gift baskets for him over the years. He was a down to earth gentleman. Always took time to visit with my employees. But we never treated him and different than we did our other customers. You could tell he liked that. W had several stares over the years from Texas are some just passing thru bet to us they were just customers to us we wanted them to know they were important to our business not because of who they were but because they treated us respect as we did them. Praying for him and his family.

Sadly today 05/29/2021 he passed away. Am so heartbroken. Can’t stop crying. Listening to his songs this evening and realizing how his songs were such a huge part of my life. RIP to a GREAT singer. Thank you for bringing such beauty to my ears and memories through your music to my heart.
I have been a rock guy my whole life but BJ Thomas nonetheless has been part of my entire life since childhood. The strength of his voice and the emotion it conveyed always got under my skin and stayed with me and I would put him up there with the greatest in history but rest assured his music will live on for any appreciative ears that recognize it's greatness. He was truly gifted and blessed as we were to have him. Rip and God bless his family

Wow. I'm shocked. I bought a few albums back in the 70's of his and have followed him since. He has an amazing wife of 53 years. He's said things like "I'm a singles guy not an album guy" lol. Up to now he recently said he does 50 gigs a year still. Talk about a guy dedicated to his craft and fans. We all love and wish the best BJ!!! Hugs David
