Revisiting Willowbrook | Good Night America (Jun 5th, 1975)
Because your politicians have been indefensibly sluggish in responding to the demands that the institutions of the mentally retarded be cleaned up and eventually emptied out, the fight to provide humane and dignified care for them has been fought primarily in the media one in the federal courts. Successful lawsuits that have confirmed their human rights have been argued in 8 states, and lawsuits are pending in 11 other states. So this is a national movement. Our latest documentary was also presented in the form of a legal brief. We revisit the same mental hospital 3 years later.

Over the years television and movie audiences have been flooded with imitations of James Bond. In my opinion, the person who comes closest to that in real life, is private investigator Jay Arms. And his achievement is more impressive, because he has established himself as a world famous detective, despite the fact fact that he lost his hand in a freak accident at the age of 12. Self made man ar...

Good theatre is supposed to be a dramatically accurate reflection of the reality that it seeks to portray, and given that there is no better play right now than "Sigwe Banzi Is Dead". It's a harsh, hard, breathtaking play about one black man's struggle to get by in his native land. The Republic of South Africa. We take a look at the reality first and then we see the stage version.

150 bucks per day in 1975, that was like 2 weeks pay for many. I am sure all of these people are dead by now.
Geraldo always trying (and failing).
Several people seem to have misjudged the audience as being lacklustre. This looks to me like a low key groovy programme from 1973. Mainstream chat shows would have floor managers pumping up audience reaction but this, to me, appears to be one of those where the audience are most probably all under 30, into Pink Floyd and Monty Python, and either 'high' or cool. Same thing would happen if an underground band would play in a studio. The kids would sit crosslegged on the floor, relaxed, unforced and just enjoying it without being demonstrative in return. Frankly I miss that kind of TV. It was cool.
Listen to the media and you’ll never know the truth…

A little reverb on her microphone would have made the difference . The mix is bad and her vocal line sounds like a rotten log. She didn't quit her day job to sing. Wise.
Frank Sturgis was trying to start a war with Cuba at this time , they wanted war with Russia and Cuba it was better for Castro and kruschev that Kennedy stayed in office, the only ones not getting what they wanted during the Kennedy presidency was the military not getting there war everywhere, America cleans up like a great poker player during a war...
But did you noticed that the evidence didn't start adding up until the evidence started changing and coming up missing, that's all you need to know about a conspiracy
He was disgusted by sturgis, because he knows it was lies, not to mention he was on the scene when Robert Kennedy was shot look it up, and tell Mr I'm lying, he helped fidel castro take Cuba, please open your eyes eyes people

Oswald's mother laid it out. There are some other interviews she did that reveals more. She had a clue, and she didn't hide it.
I'm from Harlem...this information is inaccurate
Well it’s from 1975, 50 years ago Harlem is a completely different place today
@vladimirputinforUSA I don't understand the comment ...what does 50 years have to do with accuracy ?

The grateful dead dosed geraldo before their interview.
This was an awful interview from Geraldo. Grace seemed really on her game.
This is so gritty and RAW. THIS IS REAL REPORTING
Geraldo was even gayer back then. And if he tried to trade even one blow with a professional boxer like Sandy...sadly for Geraldos many boyfriends that followed...it wouldve been the last blow he ever threw.
As I'm from the U.K., I've never seen the interview before. How natural, relaxed, and affable he seems. I'll try to learn something about him.
These guys make so many mistakes of fact I don’t know where to begin. Gregory misstated the establishment of the motorcade route and how and when Oswald got the job at the TSBD. The other guy totally misrepresents Ruby’s comments and doesn’t reference his death bed confession! See below: czcams.com/video/2VjbE0Y2YMg/video.htmlsi=rdiJObrbN-fuqeZs Dick Gregory went on to live a very long life without being assassinated by “they”! There, in fact was another major investigation into the assassination. The HSCA was established in 1976 and completed its investigation in 1978. Its findings were mostly a restatement of the Warren Commission Report. The main difference is that, at the 11th hour, when the committee was out of money and shutting down, there was evidence (later discredited) that there was the possibility of a fourth shot. In the end the theory was proven incorrect however CTs often cite it without mentioning the latter proof that the facts did not support a fourth shot. This video is great for watching how badly early 70s conspiracy theorists were in discussions of fact! To this day the Warren Report has stood against all attempts to discredit it. The fact is Oswald acted alone!
Awful drudgy (overdressed) interviewer plus drab audience. I like Dudley's calm intelligent manner. I feel that Pete was mainly being serious, and seemed a tad anxious and bored. I think Dudley left to work in America mainly because of 1) his music 2) acting opportunities & 3) Pete's tedious overbearingness (like for instance, hardly letting him get a word in edgeways). I think Pete's a very funny and unique comedy artist, but I always got the feeling that Dudley was more multitalented than Pete and somewhat of a musical genius.
Worth reading the book 'One Leg Too Few'. That fleshes out who they were, what they were like and why they behaved as they did here....and elsewhere, for that matter. :)
Damn. If it wasnt for all that pure 25 floating around in those days, none of those 60s bands wouldve ever left their garages. From Hendrix to the Doors to the Airplane to the Dead...Godawful live performers.
BigVinny Forever Forever BigVinny
He's lucky he didn't get stomped. Saw this show.
So handsome!!!!!
Born and raised in the south bronx during the 1970s. I frequented between the Bronx and Harlem and remember seeing this on a daily basis. Even though it looked like a complete hell hole everywhere you looked, I never felt unsafe back then. And always had fun as a kid playing stripped cars, and abandoned lots.
1:03 song?
I noticed that Sturgis, has both his hands between his legs. He's aware that they may give away that he is lying.
