@@sixtyate4193 theres a load of copyright infringement and stuff behind the scenes he has too be careful of. Watford have reacted like that because of sky and the premier league putting pressure on them im surprised he received no legal action especially for filming while playing

I know he had the go pro in the goal in the championship, but I don't think the rules around filming the championship are the same.

It’s a tough one with Southgate… he’s got us to a semi and a final in the two tournaments, something which England have rarely ever done, yet you feel that he’s not getting the best out of the pool of players at his disposal… the Euros was there for the taking especially that final against Italy, too many times you’re just urging him to attack more but it’s all so cautious… I just hope we’re not sitting here in 10-15 years time saying ‘what if’ with another generation of talent… at this moment in time I feel like we’ve regressed under him since the Euro’s and that there are 3 or 4 teams who you’d fancy to win it ahead of us, I hope I’m wrong!
As a non English supporting fan the euros final was a fluke. They beat Germany in admirable fashion in a knockout but other than that they were gifted a final. To play no other team in the top 10 ranked countries on route to a final. (Germany was 13th at the time) While Italy played two of the top 5 ranked teams. More so the story in the semi final appearance no other top 10 ranked opponents other than belgium in the groups and 3rd playoff and lost both. This england squad should absolutely be challenging other top nations and to only had 3 games against top 10 countries and score one goal (loosing all 3) in two tournaments is sad to see as a neutral. Southgate absolutely failed to get anything more than average out of this squad.

Totally agree about Southgate but was a bit disappointed by the dismissive comparison of 12 hour workdays - my housemate who also watches is a care worker that does 12 hour days in a row with physically demanding clients for a lot less money than a GK!

Does Ben know where he is playing this season? He’s a Prem starter for sure. If the top four offer him a back up keeper position and they pay him 60-80K a week he should take it.I always thought he was under paid. Love the pod cast
60-80k????? He'd sign that contract before it hit the table. Would like to know what he was on at Watford but there is no way anyone is paying him 60-80k to be a back up keeper
@@changebegins6891 he was on £33k a week last season. If he’s a 3rd choice keeper at any of the top 6 he’d do well to get £33k a week again.

I don’t understand how anyone can defend Southgate bottling 2 tournaments and playing a back 9 every game
The very fact he made it that far is why Southgate should be defended. Even one of the best club managers in the world couldn't make it with one of the most talented England teams of all time, but Southgate did.

@@kierancheale4307 people who splurt out Pochettino really show their age :D 1) big club managers, especially in the peak of their managerial career (PSG) tend to not touch international management because there is far less money in it... international football is usually a place for a good/elite manager to retire and work less towards the end of their career. in GSG case its where an average manager can work. 2) What is pochettino? is he a tactician like pep or conte? nope, he is a brilliant coach. As a saints fan, i have never seen my team fitter, but our tactics weren't anything special, we played a standard 4-3-3. we could just work harder than most teams and thus apply pressure constantly throughout the games.... Can Poch really get an international team to that standard with 1-2 months training instead of having a whole year with club football? i doubt it.
Would he be better than GSG? maybe/probably... is it realistic for him to join an international team at this point in his career, not a chance.

England fans just want entertainment how hard is that to grasp. Playing 5 at the back against Hungary in the first game was an utter embarrassment. With the players we have at our disposal it is possible to play attacking football and win matches. It doesn't have to be attacking football but getting pumped (like Leeds) or play Defensive and win (like Mourinho) its possible to mix both together and Gareth just doesn't see it
If the players dont wanna show up for nations league games at the end of the season, it will reflect on them like it does now. Most likely be relegated to lvl B and will be seeded on lvl 2. In the euroes might not be any trouble, but it might be in the world cup qualifiers when only winners of the grp gets qualified. You will then get tougher teams, and good luck trying to win the group if gets in group with Belgium, Portugal, France, Germany for example. Then having to go through playoffs is not easy, look at Italy who are reigning European Champions. And England are playing boring football under Southgate compared to the players that they got. Only against Ukraine in the Euros were England very good, the rest was not good enough playing wise.

I think they do have a point about over reliance on Kane. The problem is that Kane is human. He has off days, can have injuries, periods of poor form. Take Kane's goals away and the team is definitely much weaker.

You obviously can’t sack Southgate on the verge of a World Cup… but if we don’t get at least quarters we’ve got to change it up. He’s not the making the most of the cracking players we’re producing and it’ll be another generation of “what could’ve been”. Southgate needs to let the attacking players off the leash and have a go at the opposition, not just sit back waiting for Maguire or Stone to make another mistake.

The defense of Southgate is actually vomit inducing. I'm very much not an England fan but there's just no logic behind defending his tenure. Tactically he has been consistently bad but you go right ahead and keep singing his imaginary graces. I'm sure you'll find a way to say it's somehow not Southgate's fault when England diarrheas themselves in the group stage at the world cup, too.
