According to Wikipedia...
Crouch signed a professional contract with Tottenham Hotspur on 2 July 1998, after having played for their youth team. However, he did not make any appearances for their first team and was loaned out to other clubs, having brief spells at Dulwich Hamlet in the Isthmian League Premier Division and, in the summer of 2000, IFK Hässleholm in Sweden, where he played in the country's third tier. His move to Sweden came about when IFK Hässleholm sold Jon Jönsson to Tottenham for £70,000 and also agreed two loan deals for the Swedish club, that of Crouch and Alton Thelwell.
On 27 July 2009, Tottenham Hotspur signed Crouch from Portsmouth for a fee of £10 million, on a five-year contract. Crouch made his debut for Spurs in a pre-season friendly against Olympiacos, and came on as a substitute in Tottenham's season opening win over Liverpool, making his full Premier League debut for the club in the process. He scored his first goal for Tottenham in the League Cup tie against Doncaster Rovers in a 5-1 win on 26 August 2009. He scored again in his next match, opening his league account with Spurs with a goal in a 2-1 home win against Birmingham City. On 23 September, Crouch scored his first hat-trick for Spurs in a 5-1 win over Preston North End in the League Cup. In May, his late goal against Manchester City in what was being dubbed as the "£15 million game" put Spurs in a position to claim their first-ever Champions League berth. After having hit the post and missed a Benoît Assou-Ekotto cross, Crouch scored a header after goalkeeper Márton Fülöp could only parry the ball into his path.
On 25 August 2010, Crouch scored a hat-trick at White Hart Lane against Young Boys to help Tottenham to reach the group stage of the 2010-11 Champions League. On 15 February 2011, Crouch scored what turned out to be the winning goal in the Champions League second round, first leg match against Milan at the San Siro, sweeping home Aaron Lennon's cut-back after a counter-attack. Three weeks later, Spurs progressed to the quarter-finals after the reverse fixture at White Hart Lane ended 0-0.

Loved you at Spurs Crouchy. Those UCL nights at the Lane too. Unreal mate
Except for Madrid away!
Crouch absolute spurs legend! Some of my best memories are from that period with Harry as boss, was such an exciting team and it was the first time in my life we were properly competitive for a few seasons. Thanks for the memories Crouchy!
Crouchy was class at Spurs with Defoe. I was a coach for grass roots kids and the under 8s would try and do Robot dances after scoring, Wonder who set that trend off.
I love crouchy, for his size he has great skills and footwork. Lfc and spurs days were great. Imprinted in my memories.
Became a spurs fan around this time, that shirt with rvdv modric you and defoe uptop. Very fond memories ❤️
loved you at Spurs incredible service.
Spurs had incredible players during that time. That team was good enough to win at least one title.

My family is all spurs since my grand dad (who saw the 21 fa cup final- one of his daughters my aunty married an arsenal fan and for the first 14 years of their marriage, he wasn’t allowed in the Sunday front room in their house… at party’s when all the men sat in that room and played cards , at Christmas never for 14 years😂🤣😂
Takes me back to the days when footballers and FOOTBALL was actually entertaining!… how can retired players talking on podcasts about stuff that happened 20/30 yrs ago, be more entertaining to me than the game itself in 23?
My uncle (an Arsenal fan) wasn’t allowed in my Nan and grandads (Tottenham)front room for the first 14 years of marriage 😂
Im a Liverpool fan, and all my uncles and Grandparents were Man U, even my Brother and Cousin are Man U.

What I dont understand, if you have played in a Prem youth team, but even more specifically , one of the top 6, chances are you have enough talent to play in the Championship, or even league 1 or 2. Why do so many players not make it from top academies? It's surely an indication of s broken model? Think about it, this means hundreds/thousands of players that are better than much of the pro league, dont make it at all, despite having more ability than most of the pro league
Technical ability and athletic qualities are not the end all be all. You've got to be able to deliver in games when it matters in front of thousands of people, consistently. The technical and athletic abilities are just the price of admission, translating that into production is what matters in the end. Football IQ does as well. There's a reason freestyling gods aren't having to beat pro contract offers off with a stick.
Levy out Enic out
Why does Defoe always lick his lips every 5 seconds ?
