I broke my right foot when I was about 11 years old so was told I couldn't kick a ball in the playground for 8 weeks... so I started using my left foot and ended up being about as good with either which helped me get starts on the left hand side of midfield when there wasn't a natural left footer in my teams... definitely worth encouraging... it's not just for standing on!
Best episode ever, so authentic, lucid accuracy on where we are culturally with the generations playing professional football now, and great insight into how cool Crouchy is as a human being and a great footballer with top values. Respect Crouchy and the podcast team. Bring on a short term chumbawamba loan!

The stat about left footeds reminds me of something I read about baseball. I think having an unusual hand or foot dominance makes you more likely to go pro or succeed.

I remember a few years ago having a kick about with my mate and his nephew who was 7 at the time. My mate a full blown adult is smashing the ball at his nephew I said “go a bit easy he’s only a kid” To which my mate replies “if he can save my shots he will be able to save other 7 year olds shots” 😂😂
