That Assistant Manager Episode - That Peter Crouch Podcast

This week, Crouchy, Chris and Notorious are back in action and discussing all things Assistant Managers.
Often the unsung heroes of the backroom staff - with the exception of Newcastle - the lads feel it’s only right to highlight some of the best duos in football history, as well as UK Pop culture.
The lads take a deep dive into how assistant managers are often the go-between between senior players and the managers and the dynamics between them and the managers.
Sid’s is also on hand for a mini game that caught the lads slightly off guard and turned out to be one of the highlights of the pod - after Chris’ attire.
And finally, no one on this podcast is free from the firing line, including not Sir David Beckham himself who has drawn Crouchy’s ire for his BBQ set up in his recent documentary.

Great pod as usual! I'll say, in regards to the not many jobs compare with the gaffer/assistant, that chef and sous and the kitchen brigade is almost identical. Lived it for 2 decades and it's so similar. I'd always send the sous in to clean it up before I went in yelling. And even have him alert the lead cook to situations and see if they can sort it out themselves. Usually that was a test when we were looking at promoting within or hiring out. But yeah, keep it up and puddings in my kitchen are so massive
