The Capanos should be ashamed for naming one son Tom and another son Gerry.
They know no shame!
😃
My husband’s brother named 2 of his 4 boys Thomas and Gerald ( Tom and Jerry) 😄
@@elisaseverns2543 For SHAME! 🤣 One of my friends had the last name of Thomas; he named each one of his kids with a first name that started with a consonant and a middle name that started with a vowel. That way each one's initials spelled a word: Christopher Andrew Thomas (CAT); Sarah Alice Thomas (SAT); Brian Edward Thomas (BET). His wife didn't catch on until they were in school. LOL
🤣
*“ it wasn’t like Tom and Jerry were playing a game of cat and mouse…”* I laughed so hard I cried.
That was gold! 😂
The deadpan is so great!
Me too!
I did a double take a few seconds after that line. Hilarious puns and wordplay, in the midst of a dark story, all done with his usual super serious demeanor. Well done Dr. Grande.

@@jmevb60 Yes!😂😂😂🤣🤣
You deserve another doctoral degree in puns! 😆 This was a masterclass.
He's a PUNNY PUNNY man🤣👍
He is udderly determined.
@@RedPillTruth2023 I think he should be punished!
Cold dry..precise puns😂😂😂😂
Thank you for speaking about cow on cow violence, it's an uncomfortable truth many people avoid.
Dr. Grande never shies from the crucial issues of the day.
Actually, it is a mooo t point.
Udderly terrifying 🐄
I live in the country in Texas. Cow on cow violence is epidemic. We had to hire a security team of donkeys to stand guard.
@@mightymouse1005 I grew up on a large dairy and chicken farm in Texas. I must have been udderly oblivious to my environment because I don't remember ever seeing any cow-on-cow violence.
The throw away one-liners delivered in your typical deadpan manner are just comedy gold. Yet you remained informative to the gold standard. Kudos, Dr. Grande and thank you.
No shortage of good material when bovine murder clean up is the topic !
Made me laugh
All delivered with a strait face..
I watch the coverage of a lot of true crime cases. Dr. Grande's deadpan one liners are a welcome dose of levity in the face of the sadness of the subject matter in true crime. I don't know how to articulate my point further, other than to say I just appreciate it. 💜🌵👽
It took me a few episodes to realize he was doing this, and then i was hooked 🤣
He’s the best!
This made me so sad. That poor girl. From experience, when I was younger & far too nice for my own good, a lot of men interpreted "just friends" as an opportunity to wear you down. After a while I learnt to firmly refuse that tactic .
Me too!
Of course that’s what they hear!
If a man has romantic feelings toward a woman he will not accept "friends",unless he does so with the hope of changing her mind.
As a male, when I get that from a woman, it means, "Abandon all hope of ever sleeping with me."
Me ex offered that one to me when she told me she was leaving me for another bloke.. TBH I couldn't really blame her. Still, I was offended to think she thought I could be so easily mollified.
And I told her so.
Even spelling it out in black and white, many people can’t hear the “I don’t want to be with you.”
I’m from Wilmington and this story was all people talked about. I went to grade school with Anna Marie’s brother Mark. The Fahey children had such a tragic upbringing. This story was sad all the way around.
I have one nitpicky correction, Dr. Grande: I think a cow serial killer would commit bovicide rather than homicide. Thanks for a great video
LOL
😂
I used to buy Blood & Milk remover by Carbona (Stain Devils) for when my cat would bleed on my pillowcases (from where he would lick his leg raw then lay on my bed). You could find it in the laundry detergent aisle at the grocery store. As I understand it, the combination has to do with a common protein enzyme.
As someone learned in law you'd think he would know that murder is illegal smh.
He knew where to get the best legal advice..from his inmates!
She should have known there is no such thing as a free meal
Love the cow puns. You really milked that joke for all it was worth
Rofl!!
Blood/milk remover is actually just an enzyme or protein stain remover. It’s used in dry cleaning and rug cleaning, and it also can treat urine.
Dr Grande you had way too much fun with the bovine milk and blood clean up products. We were cracking up 😂 But in all seriousness, how narcissistic was he that he thought he could break the cardinal rule of not putting yourself on the stand. I bet he thought he could absolutely convince the jury of his innocence. That poor woman.
The made-for-TV movie of Ann Rule’s book about this case is SO good. Mark Harmon plays Tom Capano.
In 1997 i was in rehab/detox in delaware valley with a member of Thomas Capano's family, going by Stephanie Capano at the time. She was there at behest of Thomas' attorneys for the upcoming trial, to give her credibility. She was a heroin addict, but a beautiful girl, she had lots of interesting stories. she sadly died (assumedly OD'd) while her dad was in jail, then he also died. Mostly this story is forgotten, no one would know who im talking about.
Thanks for sharing x
I lived in Philly when this happened. It took years for it to make some of the 'true crime' TV shows - much later than I would have thought, given Capano's importance.
Wow! That's some story. Thx for sharing.
Thomas Capano never had a daughter named Stephanie.
I remember the matter like it happened yesterday. As you know it was huuuuge at the time. What a bastard Capano AND his slimebag brother were. Obviously as you attest the 'blowback' effect these psychopaths had on their children added insult to injury. To say it was tragic is an understatement. I'm sure your aware that the family was one of the richest in Delaware..
I am from Delaware and remember the whole thing. Certainly ended the high regard the public had for the Capanos. In addition to Ann Rule's book, the television series Boomtown did an episode based on the story. Just tragic.
It's fascinating how people's weaknesses and bad habits inform their decisions when it feeds their ego.
The book by Ann Rule about this case is great! I’m so glad you gave us your excellent speculation about the people involved! 👍
I didn't know Ann Rule wrote a book about it...😮
@@ericsierra-franco7802 It's "And Never Let Her Go"
Yes! I loved the movie. Mark Harmon played the part perfectly
This is a fantastic book and so well written. Ann Rule did deep dives on the criminals as well as victims.
Ann Marie had a sad childhood. She had a great therapist who worked with her diligently so she would see she deserved better than having an affair with a married man.
Tom Capano had many affairs as well as a steady mistress. He had a fit when Ann Marie wanted to end the relationship. He saw her as his possession and when she got engaged to a decent guy, he was furious.
The law enforcement did an amazing job convicting Tom Capano because they had to convict him without finding Ann Marie's body. This is an amazing feat especially as forensic science was not nearly as sophisticated as today. Kudos toaw enforcement!
Please don't judge Ann Marie for her affair. If you read about the sad and pathetic childhood she and her many siblings endured with an alcoholic father, you will understand how vulnerable she was and easy to manipulate by Tom Capano.
Ann Rule's book is a must read for true crime fans.
Thank you for this! I never knew Ann Rule wrote a book about this case. She has always been a favorite of mine. Wish she was still around. ♥️♥️♥️
This case seemed like a train wreck from start to finish. Apparently, all parties found it impossible to get out of the way obvious tragedy heading toward them. Also, your one liners were superb Dr Grande.
i find it strange she had dinner with him and went back to a place with him , while having aanother bf. some women smh
The cow, bull and other mammals analogy is the work of a genius. Thanks Dr. Grande.
This case has always bothered me! One of the first true crime stories I had heard back when they all became so popular. I believe it was American Justice. He was such a narcissistic creep. Poor Ann Marie. So sad!
yet she cheated on her newer bf with him and went back to a place with him. sometimes its dangerous to play these games.
@@tankthearc9875no justifica matar
Come for the psychological analysis; stay for dad-joke level one liners.
Good stuff, Dr. G.
I lived in Maryland when this happened and there were fliers in our local stores seeking information on her as she was considered missing not necessarily dead. Later I read Ann Rules book about this case which went into a lot of detail about her childhood. Everything about this was tragic. Thank you for covering.
It’s always the same reasons, isn’t it? Love/sex and or money/power.
Thank you, Dr Grande.
Dear Dr Grande, I was waiting for the Tom and Jerry joke, and you did not disappoint! Thank you! 😊
That Tom and Jerry joke caught me off guard that was very funny.
Excellent video Dr. Grande
I remember this well. I was working at a law firm in Philadelphia when she went missing and remember saying that he had something to do with it.
Love the cow jokes. 🐮 Your humor always cheers me up, and makes me laugh. Thanks Dr. Grande, you’re the best!
Never remain friends with a man or woman, that demands gifts back, that he / she has given to you while you were in a relationship ...Only an engagement ring is expected back after a separation !!!.
I agree. And to me, the engagement ring depends on who broke it off and why. If I broke it off or it was mutual, I would give it back. If he caused the demise of the relationship, I would keep it.
Gifts just feel like manipulation to me. Even flowers sometimes.
@@reneejones7807 so men giving you some flowers makes you feel pressured to have sex right then and there?
@@willnill7946 your words, not mine
@@willnill7946 Wow, that's where you went with that? You do realise that manipulation involves multiple different types of motivations right? FFS haven't ever heard of "he gave me flowers what did he do that I don't know about"...that's just one.
I read the Ann Rule book on this case. It was an awesome book! Looking forward to your analysis.
Dr. Grande’s clarification of the intricacies of bovine homicide was the true highlight of this video. 😂 Informed, eloquent, and unwaveringly (and wonderfully) dry as always. Thank you sir!
Yes. He is udderly determined to do a great job.
This was such a sad, screwed up case. Everyone involved could have had a great life. Capano was just so entitled and toxic.
This is a very interesting story Dr. Grande. I especially enjoyed all the instances of humour. 🤣🤣 Great job on that front!!
Thank you for doing this case. Ann Maire was a beautiful woman, its very sad to hear her struggles. I was born and raised in Delaware. I was in 9th grade when this happened, it was a huge case. I went to school with Tom's niece and after Tom was arrested she never came back to school.. I was told they moved to New Jersey.. which is a punishment its self.
You always make me laugh, despite the serious material that you present. You are a master.
I’m a young woman who just started dating again and honestly I’m terrified. There are way too many men especially who feel that women’s bodies or women belong to them. I went on one date and as things got increasingly sexual after the date, I asked to slow down and the guy immediately flipped out on me and tried to pressure me into sex. This is a complete repeat of my dating experiences at 19-21 smh
That's the time to walk away
Honestly, it’s very disgusting and terrifying to date today.
You maybe going to the wrong places for quality men who respect women...where are you meeting all these losers? Online?
The d*ck twist is always an effective buzz kill. Play along until One Eyed Johnson comes out. Clockwise counterclockwise and offer to call 911. Don't know if they ever used it, but I told my daughters this move.
You're brainwashed, you need Jesus.
Ann Rule’s book on this case is the gold standard. Thomas Capano used, manipulated, bullied and played every single person he came in contact with. All one needs to do is research the Capano Family matriarch Marguerite, to round out the family dynamic. Anne Marie’s life was sad, complicated and tragic due to her family origins that impacted every decision she made in her all too brief life. There are scores of living victims in this case who had the misfortune for being related to or having been tangentially involved with someone as evil and malevolent as Thomas Capano: Capano’s ex-wife, daughters, Debbie MacIntyre, Gerry Capano, Michael Scanlon, the Fahey family, etc. Anne Marie Fahey in particular. R.I.P.
Thank you Dr. Grande for the humour bombs while educating the masses about mental health and overall well-being. 😄🙌⚡️
Again I must say, you NEVER disappoint, but I particularly enjoyed your analysis of this case. And the humor!!! Thank you Dr. Grande!
6:00 I was udderly impressed with how long the cow references continued :D
Holy Cowhide! How sad, tragic, and devastating. Really unbelievable.
Usually, I would recommend someone adopt a cat or dog to learn friendship, patience and compassion, but in this case, I would fear for the poor animal.
Thank you Dr. grande for your very thoughtful, concise and thorough analysis, I really, really appreciate it.
Kindly and Gratefully, Dennis
This story gave you a ton of cow fodder! I laughed out loud as you slayed your way through this expose’. I hope you had a ‘grande’ time writing this one up.
I learned a lot from this. Thanks for an interesting analysis of this case, Grande. Relationships are complicated and, at times, dangerous.
Or fatal
It used to be a girl's/woman's worst fear was getting pregnant and/or getting an STD. Now it's getting involved with some seemingly nice guy gone psycho.
I like the cases where Dr. Grande makes it easy to see that the culprit was so wrong to think of murder as an answer to the pain of his selfish jealousy or that murder would ever be an easy way out worth the messy work of trying to get rid of all that evidence.
Tom also damaged several other people in the terrible criminal undertaking! A young women lost her life and other lives were ruined!
@@bthomson Hello. How are things with you? 😊🌻🌇
The persistence of the cow puns finally got me. I'm normally not a pun guy but that was impressive
I didn't think that prison food was appetizing enough to eat in high volume. He must have had alternative meals sent in from somewhere else.
Prisoners can buy their own food if they have money, apparently he was very rich.
In federal prisons the food is quite good. My son works in one. I don’t know from experience. Lol
The line about the cows was hilarious. Love the dry humor and deadpan expression.
Also appreciate the level headed look.
The line of cow puns...... You made my night!
Tom is a bully and I personally think that Tom , is also a stalker. What a horrible and nasty man . In my personal opinion, I believe Tom and his brother killed that woman. Those two brothers, I'm so pleased she got the justice she deserves. Thank you Dr Grande . Brilliant analysis and topic. Thank you once again Dr Grande, you are the best ..
At the very least Tom Capano's brother helped dispose of the body.

Nothing worse than someone is arrogant and controlling. He didn't love her. She was a possession to him. She never should've gone to dinner with him.
Sounds like she was scared of him.

I thought the dinner was weird too. The mental health professional that she told about this dinner should have known that this was a high risk time. Did the counselor prepare her? Warn her?

You crack me up Doc! Thanks for ‘steering’ us in the right direction about all of the ‘bull’ on this one!
Born and raised in Philly and was still there when this case happened, remember it vividly; Dr. Grande you were killing it with the cow and Tom N Jerry jokes!
Brillant - humor. I am considering adding to my trial lawyer website which lists my specialities Bovine serial killers. Dear Dr G. what we all do without your brilliance and brilliant analysis.
I am always impressed with your ability to compress complex cases into a few minutes and include all of the key details. Tom was delusional in my opinion. He envisioned himself as having powers of mind control equivalent to Obi-wan. As if all he needed to do was whisper what he wanted others to say or do and they would comply without question.
and didn’t Dr Grande say he had four kids of his own 🤔
Why not concentrate on them?
First wife knows she dodged a bullet.
Oh my, I'm udderly... Tom and Jerry? Nice job Dr. Grande.
Oh Dr. GRANDE, you always *moove* me to laughter--even longer than a kid watching cartoons ; )
Haha, love your humour. Thanks again for the eppy Dr. Grande, you rock! : )

That was such an intriguing story at the time, for lil ole Delaware, it was almost like a made-for-tv movie. I was serving jury duty on a completely unrelated civil case at the time, it was at the old courthouse in Wilmington, not the current one. But the local and Philly media were planted there waiting for tidbits. Loved the cow jokes! LOL.
This is the best riff on cow killers I've heard all year.
That string of cow puns was mooving me to tears 😂😂😂😂😂
Ohhh boy, the cow dad jokes were on point in this episode Doc. Love the delivery. Keep ‘em coming.

You're so funny, Dr. Grande. Bovine humor is killin' me.
Even after the bovine riff, I was still waiting for the Tom & Jerry reference, and you didn't disappoint. heh
Oh, you were really milking that cow joke, Dr Grande! Lolol
I grew up watching Tom & Jerry and I always wondered what would happen if they ever learned to work together. Now I know. It's no surprise when you think about it - they spent decades trying to murder each other and developed their violent skills to perfection - the result could only be homicide. True to form their efforts to dispose of the body were cartoonishly incompetent. Now I have this cartoon in my head of Tom & Jerry, on a boat, tying repeatedly to dispose of a body cartoon style, whacky sound effects and all.
Also there is another NZ case where people won an auction for a storage unit and found 2 kids bodies in a suitcase. Interpol are looking in South Korea for the mother.
"it wasn't like Tom and Jerry were playing a game of cat and mouse."
Hahahahaha! You still got it Doc!
