In the Sayers' film, Paul Venis plays the infamous Lee Duffy, an ex-boxer and bouncer from South Bank, Middlesbrough. Prior to his violent death in 1991, Lee had survived three attempts on his life. Heavily involved in drugs and violence, Paul's life parallels Lee's until Paul emerges as a pro fighter: Unbeaten K1 world champion, British, European and world champion (31 Fights, 31 Wins, 30 KO's).

The hard men are the ones that look after ther family and go to work and teach there boys respect
If you watch closely you can see the table rise the more they talk about Duffy
😂😂😂😂 underated comment
its a tragic indightment of our working class society that as youngsters we are brainwashed into believing that 'who's the hardest' matters. Grown men still demonstrating clear admiration for this horseshit makes me feel very sad. Toughest men I have ever met are the ones who get up at the crack of dawn every day and go and do a job that they hate, simply to provide for the people they love and care about.
How many times have you said that??
sure its a movie quote @@JP-jg7vc
Well said 😊
A taxi driver once said to me that if someone from Middlesbrough invented a cure for cancer the local people would be more interested in him if he'd bitten someone's ear off in the blues
its been same since caveman times, nothing tragic about it, its human nature
I wanted to be the next lee duffy - I went up to 10 bouncers first one knocked me clean out so now I claim disability benefits due to agrophobia
I spat my water out reading that haha

Love Paul’s story’s.
Paul Venis talking sbout a man that he knows fuck all about 🥱🥱
Great video/interview 👍 Paul seems like such a genuine guy and good to watch 👍 Paul's CZcams channel is inspiring 🙌 ✌️✌️🏴
Is this the guy who stole from his work mates who picked him up when he was down? Newcastle bouncer ? If it is he’s nowt bit scum ? If I’m on the wrong guy then I’ll apologise
Like the song now his eyes sing that sad sad song how you live so fast and die so young...looking forward to the film...
Great as usual Shaun, all of these guys can make a difference if only to a few that actually get the message it's at least a few who wake up to themselves that's still a great achievement. By the way how is T-bone doing, I so hope he gets out, would be amazing to see you two do a podcast🙋
I totally agree do not go down that road that’s all youngsters growing up just live straight and get on with everybody and just do the right thing. Because it’s only gonna rain one way exactly as They said Death. Always remember there’s someone out there more harder than you don’t forget it
New Paul all my life grew up on same estate !! Venna should of been about in the Viking times !! Pure warrior !!
what a nice fella paul is good on him being strong enough to overcome thank god i did too great show shaun
What a loser Duffy was. Hated by absolutely everybody, caused no end of misery, and met a slow painful death.
well he clearly wasn't hated by everyone was he
@@combatfighttalkuk.546 Of course he was. How could anyone who ever encountered him have liked him. If you're talking about people who're fascinated about his life and want to hear/tell more, that's not the same thing as having to deal with that low life.
The amount of people at his funeral speaks volumes that he wasn’t hated by everyone. Don’t talk shite
@@garyk86 Probably went just to make sure he was dead.
I get sick to death of hearying about this bully from the north of England … be refreshing to hear from the people that he bullied for years instead of the people he sidewinded on a night club door
Looks like an honest account and a good lesson on how to avoid the slope of doom.
Awesome vid!
That's the thing about dealing, it tends to come about as a result of limited options, people who don't have a lot going for them. You can start out self employed and carefree but you'll eventually find yourself under harsh scrutiny from all directions. 99% of people just aren't equipped for that way of life - and being involved in that way of life per se doesn't automatically make you a 1%er.
Chatted with Paul on his channel, had time to reply which is always cool on you tube, and shaun 👍🇬🇧

Every town as a hard man Stockport had Chris little who was on another level on the cobbles .they came from every corner of Manchester to fight him when he was on the door at the fir tree pub in Stockport
and they all ended up with broken jaws. I grew up with Chris and boxed with him at Salford and he could fight.top lad as well to his mates which seems the same as Lee duffy

Lee Duffy invented the “Five in One Punch”. He’d argue with five bouncers and hit the first one so hard his head would smash into the head of the second bouncer, then the head of the second bouncer would smash into the head of the third bouncer and so on until all five were completely knocked out cold all from Lee’s one punch.
Rumour has it he turned up to a heavyweight boxers charity event and tried this on thirty five pro boxers and it worked! Thirty five (yes you read that right - THIRTY FIVE) professional heavyweight boxers all knocked out with *_ONE PUNCH_* by Lee Duffy! The man was an absolute LEGEND.
Bollox
You've been watching too many Disney films lad.
@@Wass_85 you obviously don’t know quite how tough Lee Duffy was. If he punched the ground in England someone in Australia got knocked out. He really was that much of a hard nut legend.

Good message Shaun. Such a childish mentality wanting to be a hard man or a gangster. By all means train in combat sports, but stay humble and don't look for trouble. Get an education or a trade and focus on your life goals.....that's gangster.
Fucking spot on! I seen to many people who'd trained in the same circles as me over the years and the real one's are lovely because the knowledge of what they could do. But I've lost count on how often I've had that type of person who's trained a few times bragging in the pub about how hard they are. I used to love knocking them out on the mat and in the pub..

Lee Duffy had everything to be a fighter he had speed he was very power full lad And he did not wait to let them think they could beat him he was always a step a head of him self. You got to see it to be leave it. When Lee Fights he sure of him self as he walk to wards them. He did not stop to say anything it was all over when stud still The other guy was knock out. That was Lee Duffy If he did not take drugs he still be here today. Drugs killed Lee
Love him
You can see where they got the character from for Despicable Me... he's the image and is despicable too!

Naughty man 🙊
Sadly poverty leads to wanting what you never had, then comes the trouble of loving the lifestyle.
All stories are blown out of proportion he can’t of beat everybody
Someone that knew him described his height/Physique as being kinda like Dolph Lundgren in Rocky 4 not like a bodybuilder etc.

On the right part of the thumbnail there, it looks like if Paul McCartney was a hardcase
I know a lad just like Lee, he comes from wrexham and fuck me Lee Duffy sounds like his doppelganger
What was his breakthrough year? That question is very strange.Breakthrough to what?
Being a tough man doesn't mean you can fight.. Being tolerant and patient is a true man serving others doing the things you don't want to do is toughness.. Also we are all going to die Lord Shri Krishna is the best fighter with him you can eat anyone in the right circumstances god bless you all
I couldn’t agree more Shaun. I’m no gangster but I I totally effed myself up on drink n drugs. The guy was a wanker
There was only going to be one outcome, but there's always going to be someone badder and madder than you loose cannon definetly and we're u talking about yourself Shawn walking into nightclubs lol 😁 good interview
This guy Paul sounds a really descent fella & could probably save many young lives with his history & knowledge! I'm not glorifying thuggery but Paul has a persona that wannabe gangsters of today would probably listen too & could guild them to a better path.
The older we get the better he was.
Some people just seem to have a naturally hard punch.
If he really wanted Viv he would have knocked on his door. Everyone knew where Viv lived.
You need to watch Brian Cockerills channel then dude, Lee wasn't into knocking on Viv Graham's door and scarring the life out of his family, instead he was literally on the phone with Viv Graham aged 33 in a room with The Sayers dad that was Telling Viv that I can set you and Lee's fight up right now for 10 grand each,Viv wasn't interested at all and he told them so,he fealt he was too old at 33 and just wanted to chill and handle his clubs where he was making great money, Lee wasn't interested and said to Viv that he was gonna keep Ko'ing Viv's bouncers until he agreed to the fight, which of course he didn't agree to
Where did Viv live then?? Tell us??
The longer he's dead the bigger the stories get.
Lee Duffy reminds me of Lee Murray! Another soldier when it came to a first fight. Again sleeping men with one punch.
Proper trained fighter
Lee Duffy and Viv Graham were tough as nails. Legends died too early.
I would never dream even now at 64 of telling stories about escapades I know of. Its just not right. And I see all these hard men all flapping their gums. Its on par with grassing IMHO.
that's because nobody wants to know your stories. alternatively, Paul has a lot of fans who are interested in his life. the title is pretty clear so why are you watching it if you disagree? plank

I completely agree with my brother Paul V and there is hard men out there but to me a HARD MAN is someone who has 1 or 2 jobs busting his arse out to feed his family and be there to take on all his family’s problems and not show his problems to protect his family from them, a man who will do ANYTHING and EVERYTHING to PROTECT his FAMILY!!! That’s a hard man. Yup, I was in Durham in 88 and 89. I had a job feeding the prisoners and he would always demand more meat from me in front of the screws. The fucker made me do press-ups in the holding cell in Boro courts before we got transported back to Durham. That was a long two hours.
