- Me giving a sloppy rundown on my '72 Corvette. This was a 5 year body-off, rotisserie, "restoration" that started with a car pulled from a junkyard with very few useable parts. This car was an anemic stock automatic small block that hadn't run in 7 years.
Sorry for the uhhs and ums. I tried to correct everything with captions, but I'm definitely not the best public speaker. - Auta a dopravní prostředky
Thanks for the walk around. You've done a ton of wonderful changes to your car making it truly your own. I think the flairs and wheels are perfect. Everything you've done is just right! Well done brother.
This is by far the greatest C3 I have ever seen.
Big thanks for filming this ride man, it is absolutely AMAZING!! I love the stance, wheels, flared fenders, 6 speed, engine, paint, interior..... ITS JUST PERFECT!!!
and the best part is your not scared to get on it!
Absolutely beautiful car, man. From the engine, the flares to the interior. Love everything about it.
And she’s still waiting with the camera….
Nice build! Super clean and functional.
The engineering in the front suspension alone is amazing. And fitting that LS6 in, dude...... very nice work.
Awesome vid man! The beginning and ending just rock - it's unbelievable how loud it is and the sound from a distance is just... Wow! Astonishing! Congrats on the restoration and I agree - the most stunning Vette I've seen!
Awesome build. Everything is perfect. Black and chrome looks so good on those older C3's. Sounds fantastic too!
I have an automatic '80 Corvette with a 5.7 liter 350 and TH350 tranny and....WOW! This car is the EXACT dream of my C3. I bet it would take TONS of work to get mine to that realm JUST mechanically! As a 19 yr. old I have a lot to learn, and a lot of work ahead of me. I appreciate your time taken to explain/show your car to other enthusiasts!
Beautiful build! Sound, stance, look all perfect!
Thank you for sharing this beautiful 1972 , James, a beautiful resto..good luck with her..
What an AMAZING vehicle!!!!!! About to start working on a 76'. Definitely inspired, Thanks!
That is by far, the BEST C3 Corvette I have ever laid eyes on. Well done, Sir!! I absolutely love it.
Id love to hear more of it opening it up! sides mean as HELL! Great job hope you enjoying it still for a long time too!!!
You have done an amazing job!! That car is gorgeous
I've watched this video like 50 times !!! I hope you still have the car James
Awesome job !!
Probably the nicest c3 I've seen. Good work bro!
This may be the most beautiful and tastefully done C3 resto mods I've ever seen. If you still have it, never let it go.
words can not explain how much you're car screams perfection
JAMES ,just found this video, KILLER VETTE The Best LS swap I have ever seen . LOVE IT!!!!!!
Absolutely stunning!
That is a beautiful car. Great attention to detail...
Man I own the C5 vette, and the Camaro. But this right here. Is the next level. You did a Awesome job! With your car. I look at your videos all the time. I want one like the one you built. You built my dream car. You really, went deep with this Vette. The turn out, was well worth it. I post your car on my Facebook. From time to time. People love it! Just an Awesome Vette!! Great job!!!
love this car good job. buddy of mine had a 73 with side pipes......this is back in the mid 80's
new video! thanks for sharing! best vette ive seen to date
great car and great restoration
@C3Epitome Thanks. It was a one-take thing and I am super nervous in front of audiences or cameras. Belts are mounted large, thick aluminum plates under the seats. A little better then factory! The shoulder belts are mounted using a Sharkbar.
backspacing is 5.25" rear and fronts are 4.75”
VERY nice vette James!!!!!
Sweet vette man. I can't wait 'till I'm done with my 74 restomod.
That is by far the baddest Vette I've ever seen
That car sounds like God's farts, It's the most amazing I've ever heard.
THOSE ARE THE ABSOLUTE SICKEST RIMS!! I WANT THEM!!!!!!!!!
i'm a owner of one bad ass mofo 74 corvette but this one is by far one of the best one i've seen. thanks for the vids.
In the middle of building a RHD with the steering rack conversion. All works very well and looks at home on this classic beauty!
Best 72 I ever seen !!:) super nice
Great Job James, your style...Haters will hate and Vettes are our own...Go Boy..
Sweetest 72 I ever seen.
I love your car!! Outstanding job!!!
I'm a Corvette owner my self, mines a 2007 ZO6, black as well!
It's the fastest color!!!
This is pure inspiration. Mod a Vette, heck yea!
Congrats on that car, it is gorgeous. That must have been a huge bill to build that car. Great wheels btw. I'm still working on mine, the years just keep flying by.
Ed 1970 Corvette Stingray
540 big block chevy N/A EFI 650+ HP
Richmond 5 spd w/custom tranny mount
The years fly by. If it weren't for friends and family constantly pushing and helping me along, I don't know if I ever would have finished it.
@@SuprJames whers you at? Howze about an update🤨
Thanks for contacting me,been looking for one of those hoods for a while.
You did an excellent job.
love the car bro.. EXCELLENT mods on it,, very tasteful indeed..That Bomber Vette doesn't have shit on this.
Absolutely gorgeous. I would love to build a '72 similar to yours.
Very Nice. Great job on that car. Black on C3's looks tuff. I got an 82 with BB.
WOW! beautiful thanks for sharing
ridiculously nice car
Excellent car!
The aluminum wheels are perfect!
Very nice!
Again, nice car man.
Thats one Badass C3
Nice job on my fav C3 body. I sold my 1980 C3 and regret it ever day. But a Baby was on its way. So I am now thinking of buying another as a project car in mind so I can get good bones
awesome car. thanks for the tech details, mouth-watering, jaw-dropping. just wondering, did you beef up the differential?
good video!
Very well done
beautiful!!!!!!!!
This is exactly what I plan on doing with my 75. I already got the ridetech suspension on
excellent car on all points
great job!! nice vette!!
im sorry sir but if I ever come to Florida or whenever you live, im definitely going to find you and you have to take me around the corner. No homo sir, but you seem like such a nice and genuine person, you deserve that car every bit
You did an absolutely wonderful, tasteful job on this car, keeping it true to its classic roots while updating it for modern demands. This is VERY close to how I'll be doing my '73, so I guess great minds think alike.
Question: Do you think the 6 piston Wilwoods are necessary for autocross in this car (being sub-3,500lbs)? I've heard that with the right pads, lines, etc. the factory 4 piston brakes are exceptional performers. Also, any opinion on the VB&P suspension kits?
Thank you!
This car inspired me to get one!
Ohhhhhh man, this car is excellent.
This is the worlds most desirable car, it ticks all the boxes. I would take it over any Ferrari or Lamborghini or any other car. it just oozes with sex appeal, not to mention the ultimate drivetrain, suspension, brakes and state of the art electronics.
I'd pay $200k for it, without a second thought.
nice clean look
Very nice
I have a 75' stingray it needs some major work though and this is pretty much exactly how i wanted mine! It would be great if you could give me some tips on how you got everything set up!
Huge Kudos to you ! I love my C3 but I might love yours more......we!l done.
Hey James, youre to hard on youself regarding the editing of your video. You did a great job, and its cool of you to share your car and everything about it with all of us!! PS. my wife wants me to get in as good as shape as you are, DAMMIT:O)
@Knights2theEnd Thank you and I'm always up for giving people rides. Fair warning though.....it can get scary!
Very sick, has several similarities to how I envision my finished 73'. Also you're too hard on yourself, but it made the video amusing.
How did you mount the seat belts? Did you add gussets to the sheet metal or something similar?
Do you know what the backspacing on your wheels is?
"Right here we have tubular a arms" *zooms into radiator* lol
love the car I have a 69' wish I could invest these kind of $$$'s in to mine... whats the end total build cost?
Hey James, how do you like the lizardskin insulation? Did you have both the ceramic and sound control sprays applied? Can you tell a difference? Thanks in advance!!!!
I love it
love the car, can you give the contact information for the peoples who did the body work and interior customization? thanks
the ending is hilarious
I assume you meant Firebird motors , not Camaro for the headlights. I have a 1970 'Vette which is a bit of a resto mod. I was wondering if you could give insight on how you made the headlights work with those motors. Step by step , if you can. I have replaced all the stuff in the stock system and the lights still operate painfully slow. Anyway , great car man.
Hey James awesome vette, I also have a 72 vette that I am doing, going the resto mod route, can you tell me if you had original power windows or you got a kid, also the power locks? And finally where is your door mirror? The best thank you for sharing this car with us.
Spal aftermarket kit. I'm pretty sure it works much better than a stock system. I had to do a lot of modifications on the back of a brand new set of door panels to make it work, but definitely came out nice. Whether you use the Spal kit or original switches, make sure you use relays. Otherwise you will be going through switches left and right.
sick
Wow!! Nice job. I have a 72 as well. Is the transmission a Tremec?
yup!
sweet
Beutiful! !!!
Hey Knights, youre gonna have to get in line!! I would love to go for a ride to. I also agree with you 100+% that James here is a very nice guy and deserved what he has built here 100+%!! I have actually talked with James via email and he is very cool and a decent Joe!!!
Really nice C3. One of the nicest!! Did you put the wheels on the car and then flare the fenders to match?
Yes. Everyone else was putting the fenders on the car and hoping the wheels would match. Didn't make any sense to me, so I got the chassis completed and then built the flares to match. Hardest part was slicking up the firewall because it required us to drop the body, get everything mounted on the firewall that we had to have, and then pull the body back off for filling the holes and paint.
Will the supercharger fit under a factory 79 hood?
Nice build! My bro-in-law has a 79 vette that needs a complete rebuild. Id like to have it done just like yours but I would keep the original 350 block just rebuild it nicely. Hey do you ever burn your leg on the sidepipe?
No, the covers I have do an amazing job. Even after a 4 hour drive the covers are only warm to the touch. Not having any baffles probably helps also
😮😮😮😮😮😮 amazing
nice car. much does it cost you??
I'm 19 years old and want to redo 75 vette I was just woundering how much the total cost was for everything and that's one of the nices vettes I seen in awhile
A bunch. Take whatever you think it is going to cost and double it. Probably 40K and that was doing nearly everything myself and getting friend discounts where available!
Have you ever think in get batman costume? You already have batimobile. Nice car tho.
All that work, all that attention to detail, the immaculate engine bay, the gorgeous paint, the heartstopping engine, the car is glorious....and you jam shitty auto parts store Auto Meter gauges in that lady? A complete set from Classic Instruments would have been a more fitting choice for a build of this quality. I'd put Auto Meter in a rat rod, but a work of art like this Vette deserves something better.
hey man where did you get the led lights?
Sweet Brother - care to send it to Australia ?..
I do still own the car. Has 10,000 miles since the rebuild
Ever dyno her?
Hi James: awsam vette you have, I have 76 and wounder if you share with me the wheels part number or the back spacing and offset please. and many thanks in advance.
What muffler in the side pipes?
A wonderful car but an original is far more stunning.
what is engine? how much hp?
whats the 5 point harness hook up to? do you have a roll cage?
no, belts are hooked to a bar that runs across from seatbelt point to seatbelt point. It has supports that come forward to give it more strength.
