Finally someone who did what the title says ! Described a build ! Great car ! And gave credit to who is really important to him!
As an owner and lover of the C3 Corvette, having owned my 1969 427/435 since 1970, I must say you have built one of...if not the coolest....C3 Corvette of all time, Bob. I'm 71 now and having a bit of difficulty sometimes getting up and out of my car because of the Hooker sidepipes and a sore right hip, but until the day comes when I no longer cannot do it at all, I'll continue to own and drive my 540 hp fire breathing monster. We know Chevrolet lied way back then on the horsepower rating but now I know for sure exactly what the beast in my garage is rated at. In fact, every time I start my car....somewhere in the world a Prius dies!! With the machine you've so nicely built, it's nice now to have some company. Again, awesome job on the concept and completion of what is probably the coolest C3 of all time.
Thank you. Loved the Prius comment.
I had an L71 '69 convertible in my younger days. Was much fun! :)
Several years ago I was driving my LT4 red 96 convertible and came upon a Prius that had a sign in the back that said, "I get 60 mpg". Of course, he was driving 45 mph on a 55 mph city Interstate in Michigan. I downshifted and blew by him and let him hear my exhaust as it revved to the limit. He probably thought of me as a fool but it made my day!
I, also, owned one of these. Mine was a convertible. We lived in great times. Let's make America great, again.
Came her upset about chopping up a '68 Vette.
Saw the craftsmanship of this build and thought, wow what a cool '68
Goes into trance mid paragraph."Without god I am nothing" trance ends and paragraph continues.
Bizarre.
That is one hell of a Corvette!!!! Your hard work paid off big time!!
Your car is amazing. I love it!!! But that trunk! That trunk is pure brilliance.
I like the pull out electronics drawer in the dash, Neat!
Corvettes always look good no matter how much u modify 1 they'll come out the other side beautiful. Plus that green mamba looks amazing!!!!!
Thank you
Love the build ! ...You have EVERY right to be proud .....You won't say this but to the harshest critics, but I surely will .."Do you have the skills and imagination come close to doing this level of work?!?"....If so many of US would love to see YOUR creation(s).....sounds like you could teach US all a lot .....Now about those headlight configurations ...WOW just WOW..!!!...I have a C3 ,myself and while I do not have vacuum problems yet ,(owned car since 2006,fixed them all, this time,... I think.....LOL),I want to do that so that I can get rid of ALL of the relays, hoses ,and delayed door openings .....Thanks for the view!
7:38 Wow, I knew car bodies were flexible but that's the first time I actually see it on camera :D
Damn. He knew how he wanted to build it. And built it like that. Wicked.
This car was built with lots of vision, passion, great companies and cash. I respect you for knowing what you wanted and making it a reality , its a true work of art. Its not exactly my dream build but its also not my car. Your dedication is much appreciated . Thumbs up to you.
Wow - You put about as much work into this video as you did into the build. Amazing job and I trust you are enjoying the crap out of it.
As a viewer, it was a little frustrating to hear you talking about the engine without seeing it - could have used more of the interior too! Such a nice job all around.
Thanks for sharing.
I heard that a lot, so in the video of my next build we made sure to include engine noises. check out the last build czcams.com/video/z2_v7PsjXuA/video.html
Thanks
Amazing how talented you must be to create such a beautiful machine. THANKS FOR SHARING (as in Wayne’s world, “we’re not worthy”).
You know its hooking up pretty good when you're Door Gaps close up on launch. Believe she'll need chassis work next but a damn nice ride.
That's a proper restomod. Built with a purpose and functionality. Not just a trendy bucket of bolts trailer queen, with fancy paint like some that I see. Very nice car.
You have a gift sir, tremendous display of craftsmanship and engineering. On top of all that's it's bad ass.
One word comes to mind, AWESOME
Fantastic project. Thank you for sharing. Its amazing that you completed that in just over a year. As someone who is just wrapping up a 63 convertible restomod I appreciate you sharing the parts and systems you used, as well as your one off parts.
Fabulous car! I've always loved the early Vette's. Also, thanks for giving credit to Whom it belongs. Blessings!
this isnt really an early vette, its a c3
Yeah, looks like one of the early C3s, with what would normally be chrome bumpers, possibly a late 60s one rather than an early 70s?
I am blown away. That is the best all around C3 I've ever seen. I've owned and loved them for years and yours is perfect. Well done.
Thank you!
this car is beautiful, your vision is crystal clear and perfect
She is stunning. You knocked it out the park. A totally awesome one off incredible machine. Well done.
Amen Brother!!! Your Vette is amazing!!!
What a beautiful Corvette and what a great, interesting, well made video! Green Mamba is a stunning looking machine. Thank you Bob, for sharing your awesome talents and skills.
Giving credit where credit is due... Good for you sir. Love the car! You are very talented and truly blessed.
Great video Bob! We look forward to seeing the Green Mamba tear it up!
This is beautiful...the fact that you created this yourself is super awesome!
Perfect I love it and all your hard work makes it the best vette of that era I,ve seen to date
Sick ride! you inspire my next build with this. I been a Corvette fan since I first saw a 1974 Vette with a lady charming a snake on its hood. then confirmed my love for the beast My neighbor built a 1974 with a 396, she was a Black beauty, I got a ride in it. and I was hooked. but then I owned a few Carbed cars and a few Fuel injected cars. and I lost interest in carbs. So my 86 TA has been put aside since 2007, time to bring that beast out and buy a 1974 Vette. use the TA to build up an Engine or 2 and then when all the parts are ready, build the body and chassis of the vette and paint it balk and blue.
Beautiful car, the modifications blend perfectly! Well done!
Fantastic car,you are an inspiration to us backyard enthusiasts that anything is possible, thank you
What an awsom car, the best part is when I hear these guys thank God and give him the glory. Great vidio & great dude. I hope and pray that I have a nice car like this, keep grinding those gears buddy🙏🙏🙏
a real work of art. truly engineering and art perfectly blended. and the best part, it is all fully functional, while the car sure has a big show factor about it, it has at least as much go factor to go along with it. phenomenal build !
This is the best build I have ever seen.
Cars like this excite me! Cars like this are where its at, with Magnificent Homebuilt ingenuity & Craftsmanship. Bob, your car is amazing, thanks for sharing with us. Really enjoyed hearing about the build, definately looking forward tp seeing more of this! Ferraris & Lambos etc are boring, they do not excite me. You are a genius!
Bob, I have just been blown away. Not only by Green Mamba, but by the incredible detail and energy you were able to put into this video! Hoooo-leeee smokes. I want to be like you. Only, I can't! Just.....incredible! I *have* to see this car in person.
Thank you. Hopefully next year Green Mamba will be at an event near you and you can see it in person.
Thank you for the compliment. Hope you can see the car at an event sometime.
Great choice of car and engine, your a clever guy with good judgement
most beautiful vette i've ever seen
Beautiful car, I love the headlights and the trunk feature
Beautiful build in a short time. Nice work!
Such a beautiful build
Awesome build. Great video. Thanks for posting.
Absolutely gorgeous!! Sharing this video for sure!!
Great build man! Wish I could see more videos of this beautiful beast! God bless brother.
Appreciate you using the BASF R-M Green Mamba paint and those great Cobra seats with Schroth racing harnesses!
7:38 maybe install chassis braces under the car and on the sites. The flex of the frame is not good for racing. Otherwise insanely cool build!
Amazing build, brother! You are truly talented and blessed to say the least. I'd love to use some of those body style ideas on a custom build myself.
Again, great work.
If I had the money, skill, talent and time, I would dream of owning a car like yours.
Fantastic build buddy. My 74 is a sea of parts right now. I like your ideas.
I love the frame flex in the burnout at time 7:38. It seems you have some work to do in stiffening the chassis. Nice build, it looks great.
Your a legend Bro a real living legend , my kinda build
Awesome. Loved the story and giving God the credit! Wish we could a heard the engine.
Awesome custom Vette

Great video bob,i met you at sema on fri. Asking about the kind of carpet GREEN MAMBA has, thank you for the help.
And for the guys saying one day when they win the lotto.
You dont need to win the lotto, just work hard in whatever you do and,YOU CAN have a cars or truck like this,it just takes time.

Nicely done. You are an artist! God has truly blessed you brother. Be safe.
Straight badass Vette. Love it. Now, hand it to Matt Farah to do a One Take.😀
I hate Matt Farah!
With time and money patience knowledge can do alot of art...
