The camera car is doing right at 70 mph and I never dropped below 4th gear. Most of the time I'm cruising in 6th at about 1,800 RPM's. Some of the takeoffs were done in 5th. Just trying to hear the sidepipes at different RPM's
Modified '72 Corvette walkaround

Me giving a sloppy rundown on my '72 Corvette. This was a 5 year body-off, rotisserie, "restoration" that started with a car pulled from a junkyard with very few useable parts. This car was an anemic stock automatic small block that hadn't run in 7 years. Sorry for the uhhs and ums. I tried to correct everything with captions, but I'm definitely not the best public speaker.

This is my first time racing a stick shift, so still working on my launch. The car is my '72 Corvette with a Magnuson supercharged LS6. I had four runs that night with a best of 12.07 at 118 and a worst of 12.94. Getting off the line was difficult with street tires, and I spun badly on two of the runs (no video of my worst run). That's an awesome vette. It's hard to launch with street ties and a clutch. I had an 81 camaro with a 383, 4 speed super t10, and 3.42 gears. With a 275 radial I bested 12.33 @117. Getting off the line takes a lot of practice, my 60s were like 1.8.. Anyways, beautiful vette!
