And the legacy was the gift of a fully developed infrastructure.. hospitals.. with doctors the best in the world... electricity .. best sewage management. Schools that delivered. Safe streets. As Mandela himself said:"We have to thank the white man for having developed this country to such a high standard."

@@MoketleMokoene Believe me Moketle .. I understand your hurt. I voted for a new beginning in 1994 . Apartheid was hurtful and it made second class citizens of our population. Not fair. Very hard to get past that! In your studies you most probably became aware of the Communist infiltration of our country at that time. Slovo and kie were not so much concerned with the plight of the black population... his aim was to deliver South Africa to Moscow. He should not have been buried in South Africa.. but should have been laid to rest in the Kremlin with Stalin and those monsters. When the wall came down in Germany.. and communism stood indicted for its failures.. the National Party thought the time had come to make a leap of faith, and do away with Apartheid. With Mandela at the head it looked as if we had a chance. With his passing.. everything went South at great speed. And we now have such a corrupt leadership in the country .. and the country is worse off than under Apartheid. (Perhaps you are too young to have memories from the Apartheid era?) The ANC is now thoroughly corrupt and indifferent to the plight of the nation.. and they will push their brand of Communism down our throat.. they are again selling us out to the Chinese and the Russians. And they are so incompetent ... a great well run country is now on its knees and failing fast. There is no excuse. Handing over a great country on a silver plate.. and pushing the white man off their land (it is coming) ..believe me the "debt" has been paid! In full! It is now thirty years where in the ANC and the black population had a chance to show their stuff... and we are still waiting... Perhaps you should extrapolate your studies , and ask yourself what South Africa would have looked like today if the ANC were in power since 1920. Yes the country was safe and working for black and white!! Do your homework.

I agree with you that apartheid must never be forgotten so no one will do that again. The one thing that i just wish is that people (black and white) must remember that the whites did not vote to have apartheid. They voted for it to end at the first chance they were given that was in 92. Obviously some did not. History is also more complicated than just whites took the land. There are different groups of white.
I would say the British did most of the taking of land. They were greedy and just took countries left and right. I would say Afrikaners are pretty neutral in all of this. The people called Boers are mostly people that came here because they just wanted peace as they were being killed in europe for being christian. They came here with nothing and moved inward not to be ruled by someone again. They only wanted a piece of land to call their own, not all of it. They tried to trade for land rather than kill. They were also the ones that stood up against Britain when they wanted to take the land. Yet somehow it is always the Boers that are the bad ones because that is what the leaders are telling the people.
Nowadays it seems like the poor coloured people have no more place in this beautiful country and they were actually the original people living here.
Unfortunately South Africa had too many traitors that divided the people. People like Verwoerd that apparently started apartheid. He just did what his British buddies told him.
The only reason apartheid was created for was to make the rest of the world hate the " Boers " for this. This would cause division that will eventually collapse the country so the west can steal everything. Ramaphosa would be the second last traitor to make sure the collapse will happen. This new NHI will surely be the final nail in the coffin. He sold his soul and stabbed his own in the back. That is how he became so rich. De Klerk also walked away a very rich man just like Ramaphosa. If the media are doing their job right then the people are suppose to vote the ANC out by this year. The plan was for them to rule for 30 years. The next government will be the final one to lead us into communism. My guess is the DA. They will do as the UN, WHO and World Economic Forum tell them to do. That is why I think the DA because they support those people. The police will have to decide if they will stand with the people or the government. This will most likely start a civil war. People will see that there will be manny new rules that will come out that will push us into a corner. The climate and diseases will be the excuse for the next couple of years. It is easy for them to just release some new diseases just like Covid. They will just keep us busy with race nonsense so we do not see what they are busy with. Eventually we will no longer have private property. According to the UN agenda 2030 it should happen around that time. All of our resources will be stolen from under our noses and we will have to help them ( the West )
    to do it.
I know all of this sounds stupid, but one day history will tell us the truth. Remember that this is just my opinion and I really hope that I am wrong, but so far it is all going in that direction.
The one thing that give SA hope from some of this is that black people have learned not to trust anyone anymore and they stand together if things go too far because they have nothing to lose anymore. They will fight this evil.
