Ingredients
60g fruit juice (1/4 cup)
25g sugar (2tbsp)
60g tapioca flour/ tapioca starch (1/2 cup) and more for coating after the shape
🍓Note: If necessary add food coloring. I used a few drops of food color in red and yellow
If the dough is too sticky, you can add a little more starch

These bobas are so beautiful, I can't wait to make them! I've made boba at home before, the most time consuming part is to make the dough into small ball shape. I found that it tastes no difference if you leave them as cubes. Just roll out the dough a bit thicker and cut it, you'll get little cubes. The only down side is you have to eat them with spoon, if you use a boba straw, they'll likely stuck, but you could try making them smaller, maybe it can solve the issue.

Ok I know half of you in the comments have not tried this recepie and are just giving credit because it looks super good and it does! I know I’m gonna get a lot of hate but to you guys who have not tried this, who wants to eat heated up fruit, then boiled, then cooled...I tried this recepie with peaches and it tasted like expired fruit boba. I do love this recepie but I would just make the regular one. Thanks bye!

@Kokogoat i know but a lot of people say “oh I have ocd because there’s no blue or I get annoyed when there’s a pillow on the floor” and it’s pretty obvious they don’t have it and it’s just ableist and offensive to the ones that actually do. Awesome idea! I've been on a boba diet for the last couple of months and I'm kinda over the traditional brown sugar boba cause I've been eating it so much lately lol. Literally half of my giant 32oz cup will be boba while 1/4 is ice and the remaining 1/4 is actual milk tea 😂This is such a good alternative, I can't wait to try it!
These all look amazing! I’m going to try the rainbow boba with my friends, thank you for the incredible recipe. I had a question for anyone about the “orange bianco” one. I don’t doubt that people drink this, as I looked it up (it looks yummy without a doubt), but does one experience stomach upset with the milk+acid content? I tried looking up it’s origins to find more about it culturally, but didn’t really find much. I’ve always made sure to keep acids and milk separate when feeding my family.
Acid curdles milk so yes I would assume so. maybe use something like coconut/almond/cashew milk? I'm unsure if that will be any different.

With that amount, you should be absolutely fine. Fruit and milk doesn’t mix very well, but tbh feeling queasy only tends to happen if you’re not also eating starch or fat And are drinking a lot at once.
As someone who drinks a lot of milk, the only time a fruit+ milk queasy stomach has happened to me is with 500mL+ of milk and 500mL+ of fruit juice in one sitting, with no food. A single glass combined won’t do any harm.

Be careful when using Naked juices or other bottled juice like that.. I bought some and they had mold on the rim under the plastic sealed edge of the cap where it cracks open.. At least I knew it's natural lol

@Myint Myat Htun must try it then. I admit though that the only time I tried something similar was with glutinous rice flour and the fruit flavour practically disappeared. Maybe with the tapioca starch will be different :)
