Love this bag. I used #5 zippers for the outside side zips and they worked great. I did not change the seam allowance.
I know you did this a few years ago however I can’t thank you enough for making this an easy pattern.
You are so welcome!🤗
Another fantastic video! Spend more time watching your videos than I do actually making the bags!🤣🤣🤣
I just had lunch with a friend who had this - someone had made it for her. i asked her to get the name of the pattern, and this is it! It's the best cell phone bag I've seen, and I'm 2 years late in finding it. I'm so glad you did the video for it - you explain so well, and it's easy to follow along. So this will be on tomorrow's agenda!! Thank you, Siah!!
Still love this bag & still love your tutorials! You always do such a great job 🩵
Thanks so much 😊
The designer of this bag sure has some mad skills! Very impressive!!
Thank you so much for the tutorial. This is an awesome little bag. Came together without much fuss.
I’ve made dozens of these going back Two years, adding variations, great little bag/pouch.
I love you fabric choices. As always they are stunning!
So glad you’re back to making videos. I love your style of demonstrating. Very calm and no distractions. You do beautiful work.
Thank you so much!
Thank you for making this tutorial, I doubt I could have made this without you. Your amazing.
I just finished making one. I love it. Thank you for this wonderful video. It helped so much.
OMG, SIAH!!! This is the 2nd one of these I’ve made so far! The first one I’m keeping for myself. It’s totally made out of waterproof canvas which was a little bit tricky…especially the card slots, and also with not being able to top stitch the lining it makes it a challenge sometimes to open the zippers without the waterproof canvas getting in the way! Ugh!!!
You are so much fun to watch. I can’t believe you do the whole thing live, I can’t tell you how many times I had to rip stuff out!!! Lol. I’m a new bag maker! My addiction started with mask making, and it went on from there!
Wow great video! You are clear and concise. It is a very calming video with no distractions.
Thank you Kassiah for your wonderful tutorial, I finally made this beautiful little bag, I love it! it's a great pattern, but your guidance makes a world of difference, I had learned a lot from your tutorials
YES! I've been on the hunt for a cell phone crossbody bag and this is the one! I've made a few others, but this by far is one of the best patterns I've seen. Thank you so much for another great tutorial!
Thank you so much. I could not have done this without you. Love this pattern. Going to make more. Thanks again.
You are such an amazing instructor! I love your tutorials. Thank you so much for another great video. I bought this pattern after seeing you had a tutorial for it. 😃
I made this today watching your tutorial. You are so easy to follow. Love your tutorials.
I enjoyed making this bag with you, thank you.
That is the cuties purse. I love watching you make bags. Thank you
Thank you! 😊
I love the way you explain why one does something before you do it so I can understand what needs to be done next...like the card slots and zippers for example. It really helps a lot thank you!!
This is the fourth or fifth pattern you've sold me on in the last week or so. 😄 Very cute! Binge watching bag making videos and making bags lifts me out of the doldrums, so thank you.
Yay! Thank you!
Number 5 zippers definitely work. I also use regular snaps, not magnetic.
Excited this is going to be the new swap! I love it!
I just completed my first Zip N Go. I like the pattern. Thank you for the Great Tutorial!!!
Wonderful tutorial. Thank you:) looking forward to making this💞
Hi Kassiah. I have been catching up on your videos. Going to take some time, as you have a bunch. Enjoy watching you sew. Thank you.
Your tutorials are awesome. I watched this video last year for the first time and put this bag on my wish list.... which is growing very fast with your help. :) I finally purchased the pattern last month and in the process of making this bag for a friend. I love how you provide all the tips for those of us on a domestic machine. Thank you!
Muito linda sua bolsa! Ela ficou compacta com muitas divisórias!
Ótima! 👏👏👏👏
I just finished making this awesome bag! It's only the second bag I have ever made. @SiaSwag, you did a fantastic step-by-step tutorial. I couldn't have done it without you! I printed off the instructions, but my printer didn't print well and I couldn't see the pictures. So thank you.
@ElonaNamor, thank you for making this amazing pattern available. I'm sure it took time and trial & error.
Great job ladies!!! I will keep sewing.
I love this pattern and also how you teach us to do it. I feel like it will be good as long as the cutting is exact Thanks!!

Thanks so much. Can't wait to make this.
Thank you so much Kassiah, you got me through this one! You go through it slowly and make sure we understand each step! I made 2 of these at once, hoping I could manage this pattern. I did it, thanks to you!💞
You are so welcome!
What a great tutorial for such an awesome bag! I have to get this pattern now! PS, you started popping up on my feed and I'm so glad I checked out your channel! New fan here!!!

You have done an amazing job of taking my written words and putting them to video. It came together beautifully. Thank you so much.
You are so welcome!
Hi, what a wonderful bag you made. She made an excellent video too. I am a beginner, but her video was through, so I am going to try to make it. I cannot print out the pattern without much trouble. Can I purchase a printed pattern?
@Elona Namor can I buy the pattern and you mail me the pattern.
Wow I made one of these 3years ago when I wrote the pattern
Hi Elona. Love this wallet and I’ve just cut out my first one. Do you think I could use an invisible magnetic snap on the front?
Excellent tutorial! Thank you!
You are such a fantastic tutor! I know this was 3 years ago, but thank you for creating this video, Kassiah. ❤
Glad it was helpful!
Hi Siah Ijust finished my cell phone pouch ,your video was awesome my bottom corners came out ok but the top were off a little hopefully my second one will be better Ididn’ t like my zippers so going to order some from you.
super cute. Thanks. Will try it out
Your tutorials are wonderful and I especially love how you carefully narrate all the sewing details and resource information for us. Regarding using a domestic sewing machine, I have a Brother Tough n Strong domestic sewing machine that I use for all my bags. Here's what I did, to convert my domestic machine, I began by ordering a walking foot, nylon 70 thread, 18 needles, and changed the tension dials to the highest stitches to accommodate the thickness/tension of the thread for my machine, Also, tip, I use the affordable fusible foam to line my bags I order from Amazon - The finished products are gorgeous! Siah You make learning how to sew these patterns a joy and Thank You again, Mary Ellen
Thank you for the input, very helpful, I love hearing what other people use and work for them. Thanks for watching!!
This is a great bag. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.
You are so welcome!
Great !!!! Thank you for this Video, greetings from Germany, Dagmar
Love your tutorials.
Glad you like them!
I also love everything about putting this bag together. I have done many NCW and now I learn easier techniques.
Great pattern!
That was great. I had to stop and buy the pattern. Thanks for the video.
I used #5s one the outside, no problem. I did use #3 for the coin pocket.
Love this video and bag. Purchased from link. Thank you. It was so easy.
You are so welcome!
So beautiful..wish I can do it
Love love the bag, got it as a gift from my talented sister who designed the pattern,(ENDesigns) so glad that you are showcasing it Siah, I don't sew but I appreciate all of the talent you guys have, Thank you for her support :)
Let be know that I need to make
Hello, my name is Nina. Can I please purchase a printed pattern? I can pay by PayPal?
Do you think the interior can be used with wpc? OMG I love how you do that strap! I'm always struggling to sew the slider on.. you have shown me something new!!!!!!!😍😍😍

Love the bag ...purchased from your link...love your turning tool...because it is more rounded than pointed could you share who makes it...you are really easy to watch and learn from, I am 74 and most appreciative of your calm and informative teaching style...I am a big fan..Thank you
It is just a leather burnisher I got off of amazon that I use for corners instead!😂. Thank you for the kins words!
Thank you 😊
I like using rivet snaps.
ive just bought a pattern and all the pattern was printed out for me tabs zipper tabs the whole lot and to make the zip easy she put it in colour so the slots were easy to fold
It's so weird... I'm making this along with you and for some reason my credit card slots are way longer than my card slot wings. By about 3/4". Not sure what I did wrong. I measured all the lines going across per the pattern piece. And measured then with a ruler as well to make sure and yes my top is on the top. 🤷♀️🤦♀️ I'm just going to keep going and trim the bottom extra 3/4" off and hope for the best... Lol
Hello. Greetings from Norway. I love your videos. I wonder where do you by your name tag that you put on the bag. I also want to ask if you would make a video for a pc bag with a slot inside for the pc. And extra pockets for the charging cable, mouse etc. ☺️🙏🏻
What is that tool called that you use to help push out the corners? I am glad you made the video i couldn't understand half of that from the instruction sheet. Really looking forward to making it! Looks amazing!
I love love your tutorials... thank you SO much!!!
You are so welcome!
Thank you so much for making your videos so clear. Do you think an invisible magnetic snap would work?
Sure!!
Just bought the pattern after watching.
Amo seu trabalho sua alegria, gostaria mto q passasse as medidas dessa bolsinha sou Maria Antônia moro em Cuiabá mt Brasil
Purchased and printed this pattern while I was watching this video
That looks like the one I did of Owl Be Sewing
Hi, I have been watching you for a couple of months, and love your tutorials, love how you take your time sewing and do not speed sew, this way we can better see what you are doing. couple of questions if you do not mind: Do you think this is beginner friendly? If not, what pattern would you recommend for beginners. and what type of thread, weight, brand, etc. and do you use the same thread in the bobbin? Thanks so much and keep doing what you are doing!!!
Hello, i think this is more of an advanced beginner type of pattern. For beginner just practice a basic hobo type of bag to get a feel for how the bag is assembled and add to that. Each pattern should have if they are beginner friendly, I think Swoon has a couple and Needle & Anchor Supply Co. does as well! I use a bonded nylon 69 thread, but I also am sewing on an industrial which can handle the thicker threads. Yes I use the same weight in the bobbin. Hope this was helpful! Thanks for watching!
@@SiahSwag thank you for getting back to me and the info.
Hi All, Curious, I would like to not use a swivel hook. I see some examples on the show & tell page with them. Has anyone here done two D or square rings instead of one and swivel hook. If you did, did you take another 2 1/2" for another D-ring tab from the strap or cut it from scraps? I just don't want to make my strap to short! Thanks!
So darn cute. Ordered. Did you mention that for the front flap you lessened the dimensions by 1/4 inch all around for BOTH interfacing and Decovil?
Just the decovil
I am a beginner, but so excited to try this! I have everything ready to go. The only thing I don’t see is how long the purse strap should be?
Usually about 54 inches or more
Depending on what you like
Thanks for your great instructions. Love this bag. What model is your Kingmax? We have a Kingmax but it is for heavier leather and you can’t sew fabric on it. I’d like an industrial that sews cotton, vinyl, light leather, canvas, faux leather, etc. thanks. I’m in Colorado as well . We bought our Kingmax from Ralph’s. You are excellent at instructional videos!
I have a GC0302, It can sew cotton all the way up to leather and I got mine from Ralphs as well! Thank you for watching!!
This was a great tutorial. I want to get the pattern. Did you use canvas or cotton for the floral material? Also, how do you know when to use a 1/ 4" or 3 /8" seam allowance? Does the pattern tell you? I've had a couple of patterns that leave out that info. I'm still new at this so I need that info.
Thanks again for being a great teacher!💗
It was a light canvas but cotton works great too. The pattern gives you all the seam allowances, so that makes it great to follow! Thanks for watching!!
great tutorial Siah, but like other I also have this by Owl Be sewing, and she gives the measurements, it is a little smaller but easy to make bigger and wasnt a crossbody, , easy enough to adapt to a crossbody , I dont think it is the same person though
Yes I have been made aware that there is a similar pattern out there with just measurements, no written instructions. But this one is her own, written down and pictures, with some great techniques
I've also seen it by Owl Be Sewing and also by Space Samant. It's a great design.
May I ask you what did you interface did you use for your slot pocket ? I didn’t catch it! Thank you and thank you for your videos !! Love it!
Just a woven I think.
Another terrific tutorial. Just wondering why one end of the handle is sewn in and other is attached to connector? It is not a detachable strap. Is it just for a different look? I think I will do either both sewn in and both on clips. Thanks again.
No idea, just did it how the pattern was written.
Could you do the zippers using the Butler method instead of the 90 degree angle thing? I have so much trouble with that!
Yep totally!!
FYI: All I had was #5 zipper by the yard. It does work, but the the tape shows a bit more than the #3.
mine are 11ins x 5 3/4 what do i do plz cut off i was sure i was right as i cut out of pattern
i checked all the measurements and they are right
Did you interface the vinyl?
That is a beautiful clutch crossbody bag. I love it. Do you sell them?
Yes I usually sell the ones I make on my website SiahSwagBags.com
Kassiah, where on earth do you get that awesome cutting blade tool ?
Which one? The fiscars blade? It is listed in my Amazon shop 😊 www.Amazon.com/shop/SiahSwag
I really like this style grab and go bag ...how hard would it be to enlarge it so the pockets would be bigger
Not hard at all I don't think!
I bought the pattern and going to try ...will post picture if it works ...I need something with just a little bigger pockets for medical things I have to carry !!!
I think your tutorial is amazing! And I appreciate that this is her first pattern, but the directions I have on my pattern were terrible. Without this video I would never have finished. Your directions are not the same as the written pattern. I read it over and over and referred back after you completed a step, they are different. I have been making bags for 20 years and this was not written well. Thanks for the video.
I too got confused by the written instructions vs. what Kassiah did. This is my first one but I think I can now figure out better how to construct it. I ended up with the zipper pocket on one side and card slots on the other. Should be OK, I think.
Where can I find pattern? Been looking without luck.
where did you get your snips I love them
Tula pink I believe
Would you please tell me if you did interface the zipper pocket lining with woven fuse ?
Yes you can
