I am reconstructing a bag that was purchased from Amazon. So this video is very helpful for the binding (as well as this gorgeous bag you make in this video). I know you use fold over elastic for binding now. I’ve already stocked up on a few colors from your website 😊 I have also switched to using a screwdriver in place of the stiletto like you have. Hello. Quick question What weight thread do you use typically? I have the Juki 1541s and Tex 90 I struggle pulling the thread when I finish a seam. I have tried everything and can’t seem to figure out why! It will barely move from the tension discs and I’m wondering if I should just drop to Tex 45. I see you just pull and cut the thread…. lol.

I really loved this video. I liked all 4 of the projects for different reasons, and appreciate your showing us what's out there in the glasses case world. I especially like the problem solving you did. Rather than scrapping the whole thing and starting over, you figured out how to move on. Fantastic!! Also, do you remember your very first appearance with Kassiah when you were reading comments? When was that? I'd like to watch that one again.

Susan, I think you are a GREAT teacher! It would have taken me 2 days to make just one of those cases. I make a ton of mistakes and I always need to use the seam ripper. Even though you made a mistake, you showed us how to resolve it and you also explain what not to do so that we don't make the same mistake.

By the way, I just bought the same machine from Ralph's (I live in Colorado). You're a great teacher! When you sang the "Getting jiggy with it" part a few seconds later, I sang "Nah nah nah." What about the bolt that takes a 14mm wrench on the back of the machine? That's what I thought could help going from L to H fabrics or is it just for pressure foot height (?) Glad she got it working. Some volts were really tight on my new machine i just got from Ralph's 😬

I’d fix it using binding Susan. Fold it and then add narrow binding to finish your seam.

Is it typical for Ralphs to sell the floor model that you test in the shop? Paid for new and they gave me the floor model i used😟They said that's how they always do it (so its tested) Is that how they gave you yours?
