Watcha Guy! Just come across your channel and have watched a few of your videos, and have found to be chuckling to my self on how relatable they are (especially about the missing bolt) 😅 but great videos, love your collection on bikes, would love to have a story from you how your motorcycle story began
Hi thank you for your comments I really do appreciate them, I must get around to a video about what drives any of us to motorbikes, quite an interesting subject I guess.
Hi, first of all thanks for sharing! I hope I can change my grips as easy as you make it look on the video. Could you tell me the exact names of the oxford grips model and the type of connectors you used so i can make a shopping list. Many thanks in advance!
The grips I used were called Hot Grips I'm afraid that's all I can remember. Be careful when ordering the grips as the bars are quite a large diameter. I use a company called Vehicle Wiring Products for the connectors and used a petty standard male/female snap together plastic type that kind of look stock.
I assume you tried a magnetic pick up tool or one of those triple jaw pick up tools on a flexible wand . Me , I would ask the misses to pick the bike up and shake it loose ! Only kidding !
Nice tips, good to know you can use existing circuitry without the Guzzi brain throwing a wobbly like our governments every time a majority forms that it doesn't like! I've just found out in order to change a rear turn signal bulb I've got to take 6 screws out of the plastic above the rear wheel... and also remove the rear wheel..... to gain access to the tail light unit.. Bit of a faff!! lol.. although I had been fancying a Metzeler Karoo 4 on the back for a while anyway; I still don't much fancy a long drive to Loughborough flapping my arms all the way like I'd got avian rabies. How's the v85 on that front?
Time to treat yourself with a well deserved glass of RED, well done! 🍷
Oh yes I did that no worries
3 of my bikes have heated grips and seats. Best invention sence the starter button. You will enjoy them on those cool days. Congratulations.
I have missed heated grips more than I thought I would so very pleased with the upgrade.
Love my Oxfords, the self turn off feature is great for saving battery drain on those occasions when you forget & they're not already factory wired.
I think they have become a must have on a bike that is for longer trips.

Nothing improves enjoyment of cold weather riding like warm hands! Had years of trouble free riding with Oxfords.
I have to say I'm very impressed
Fitted the OEM grips and happy with them. I dropped screws too but managed to retrieve without complete dismantle.
Heated grips have become an essential for me, as for dropping screws well it's just par for the course in my life

I'd like to have heated grips on my California stone, it looks to already have the wiring. Thanks for the informative video
They are well worth fitting as it improves the riding experience way more than first thought.
frustrated old-guy-in-shed for a moment there! murphy really does get around...
He certainly does along with his brother Sod
Just wondering, have you ever tried the heating gloves?
I can highly recommend.
I had a pair about 15yrs ago and got frustrated with faffing about charging them so I find heated grips an easier option
@@oldguyinshed1703 great bike btw 👌👌👌👍👍👍

So far it's been faultless and it's mostly simple although they pack a lot under the seat and tank
