At last! Someone that doesn’t prattle on about everything and anything and is straight to the point! A very well constructed video tutorial and great instructions! Thank you 🙏
Thank you for your lovely comment Lorraine 😊
I can’t believe I actually made four pillow covers with zippers!!! You are an absolute perfect teacher! Thank you so much! ❤️
Quick, easy! Someone who knows how to make a great video without over talking by repetition of stated steps & by not showing unnecessary steps such as the stitching of seams. Loved it! Thank you
Thank you Shallah. It's so nice to receive such lovely feedback.🙂
I agree! I truly appreciate her style of videos!!
i totally agree
couldn't agree more ❤👍
You made it so easy explaining it no long explanation Thank you
I'm glad you liked the tutorial 😊
I've watched many tutorials on installing a zipper in a pillow cover and this is the BEST by far! Great Job and Thank you!!
Thank you for your lovely comment. :)
I just commented basically the same thing. 👍☺
With the measurements given for the fabric size in relation to the cushion pad size and the half inch border, I thought the cover would be way to small. I apologise for doubting your expertise. It is perfect! The easiest cushion cover I've made. Thank you. I'm really looking forward to trying more tutorials from your website.
I haven't shown in years. This has got to be the best tutorial on applying a zipper on a pillow. Nice and to the point. Oh and the first pillow that had the zipper on the top is still beautiful. Great video.
Thank you so much for your lovely comment. 😊
Finally someone who is making the cover at 17 inches a inch a half smaller than cushion (of 18 inches and seam allowance of half an inch) itself so that it puffs out. I’ve been following other instructions anfd the covers are always too big. Thank you !
Glad it was helpful! I have to say that I prefer full cushions. Just a personal choice.
What a special Lady. Thank you for this Video
Thank you Helen 😊. You are most welcome.
Thank you for the quick and easy way to make the cushion covers.
You are most welcome Rachael 😊. I really like making these cushion covers.
Fabulous.. Way of stitching zip 👍
Thank you :)
You did a fantastic job with this tutorial. Easy instructions, pleasant voice, I have every confidence I can put one of these together using your tutorial! Thank you so much!
Never done any sewing before.
Followed this guide, and it came out "almost" perfectly!
That's great to hear 😊. The next one will be perfect.
Such an easy straight forward method, recommend

Hello from London!
Thanks for doing this video, it’s the only one without having to do a fiddly basting stitch. I’m a bloke with very basic sewing skills and have done half a dozen zipped cushions! Cheers
That's awesome 😊. I am so not into fiddly stuff. I would love to see some photos of your cushions. Here is a link to the website if you would like to share some pics www.alandacraft.com/submit-your-project/
Best cushion tutorial ever, it worked like a charm. Thank you !
Thank you 😊
I was able to make 2 very large cushions ( beds for Great Danes) very easily after watching this video. Thanks!!
That's awesome Lori. I would love to see some photos of your Great Danes with their cushion beds. Here is a link if you would like to share some photos with us www.alandacraft.com/submit-your-project/
Thank you so much for this video! After 2 years of owning a sewing machine and being too afraid to use it, I’ve finally made my first cushion cover and it actually turned out good!
That's brilliant 😊. I am so happy to hear that you had great success with your cushion cover. Putting in a zip can be a bit daunting, especially for someone just starting out, but after you've done a couple you will think nothing of it. It's really quite easy.
After 50 years of sewing I had to come back for a refresher on sewing cushion covers. Thanks for making it sew so easy. :)
Happy to hear you found the tutorial helpful Mary 😊
Thank you so much for this video, Ive been sewing for years but not made a zipped cushion. Would you suggest using an invisible zipper?
Wonderful. Straight to the actual task. Absolutely crystal clear. I agree with the other views - you are absolutely the best.
Thank you for your lovely comment Lis. 😊

@@alandacraft I’ve been sewing for nearly 50 years and have never tried using a continuous zipper. Could you make a video on how to use them? That would be great!
Excellent instructions. I think I can actually do this because of your clear explanation. Thank you.
These are so easy to do, you will be running them up in no time at all. :)

Thank you for your lovely comment. It's really easy to do. 😊. Here is a link to the written tutorial as well www.alandacraft.com/2018/10/30/zippered-cushion-cover-tutorial/
Brilliant.very,very helpful. Thank you.
Thank you from Scotland.
Happy to hear you liked the video, Zainab 😊
Ive seen people also sew a zipper over a closed /sewn seem and then pick out the seam once the zipper is sewn in. Keeps it very tight looking, although then you have pick marks. Thanks for the reminder to reinforce the corners!!
That's a good idea, might try it next time. Not sure I would want the pick marks though.
Thank you! I made the cover in less than 10mins thanks to your clear instructions.
Excellent. Thank you for your comment. :)
I love the fabric you are using!
Thank you 🙂
My 3 jumbo size cushion covers turned out perfect.👍
Excellent. That is so good to hear. Perhaps you would like to share some photos on our Readers Project page. Here is a link www.alandacraft.com/submit-your-project/
@@alandacraft Oh okay. I'll follow the link. 👍
This is by far the best tutorial on a zippered cushion cover. Thank you!
That's an awesome compliment. Thank you!
Clear and to the point video and like a few other viewers mentioned, without unnecessarily showing sewing the seams. You have a soft voice which is easy on the ears. Thank you for this no fuss video!
Thank you so much for your lovely comment. 😃
None of the tutorials I have previously watched explained what to do either side of the zip. Thank You so much for this straight forward explanation. Finally I can get my cushion made.
Happy I was able to help Ella 😊

Well said everyone ! That was clear and easy - thank you!

Thank you so much for this! I'm a DIY type of guy and I wanted to try making some throw cushions for my sofa. This video gives such clear and concise instructions that even an absolute beginner like me can follow them! Thank you! Subscribed!!!
Thank you for your lovely comment Andre. Maybe you can share some photos on the website when you have made your cushions. Here is the link if you are interested. www.alandacraft.com/submit-your-project/ We love seeing our viewers projects.
Lots of men sew we just don't see them as much. The quilting marine is one such channel and another is The Guy who sews
Thank you ! You explained it very easy! I always thought you needed a zipper foot because all the videos I have watched has used a zipper foot. Buy I see it can be done with a regular foot.
Glad it was helpful, Yesenia.🙂
Thank you for this. Another slice of goodness from the Alanda pie!
Thank you so much, after watching your excellent tutorial I've finally just made my first Cushion with a zip !! Now I know how those cavemen felt who discovered fire... lol

Thanks for making me laugh!
Excellent instructions thank you 🙂
You make this look so easy. I've always made envelope cushions but I've bought zips and I'm getting my machine out right now. I'll get back to you 😉
Excellent, love to hear how it goes.
@@alandacraft The 2 feather filled fitted cushions I had on the back of my sofa were far too heavy for me to plump up all the time so I've replaced them with 4 big feather pillows along the back. It looks great. Can't believe it took me so long to try doing zips. Now my seat is deeper too. Luxury. Thanks again.
I really enjoyed your video. Your directions are spot on. Thank you
Thank you 😊, I'm glad you like the tutorial.
I have done it - delighted. I have looked at many tutorials and this makes it so straightforward and I realised that it could be followed easily. Why hadn’t I tackled it before - mostly fear.
Thank you so much.
Thank you for your lovely comment Colleen. I'm very happy to hear we have overcome the zipper fear factor 😊. I feel that the zip closure gives the cushion cover a nice professional look.
@@alandacraft thanks again, all the way from Scotland….
