its all about faith [belief] i am a revert to islam and have never felt more peace and tolerance in my life than i have this last 16 months since taking my shahada , i prayed to allah for the health of my mother in law recovering from a cancer operation , and it worked , that is belief and blind faith alhamdullilah , allahu akbar .

Mikkel - Oops! Many Muslims ignored this confusion in the Quran! In fact, the Quran author claimed he recited his word with "verses only" in disorder depending on his mood and memorization (NOT with chapter!!!). Note that Verse is totally different from Chapter, and each current Quran chapter with many disjoined verses were reorganized by men (ie. Calif Othman) later after Moh died many years

@@sgma4m hello my peace be upon you .and insha allah you revert to islam or strengthen your islamic faith. the quran is truly the word of allah. even if chapters of the quran were organised so you could access it easier and they put it in the form of a book it does not mean they made the verses or chapters of the quran, likely if i organise all the youtube videos together so they were easier to access does it mean i made those videos.if you say that the prophet recited his words only when he remembered it and felt like it, then this is my answer .J.K Rowling didnt make send out one chapter in a book because that was her mood and memorization no she gave the whole book so it would make sense likewise the prophet didn't give one verse an then go to another verse and then skip another 5 verses like he didnt know what he was doing. he did it as a whole surah at the time when it would have been best.the verses were not disjoined the prophet gave a whole chapter at one time .and at that time the prphet couldnt keep a book with him the whole time to write it down so he wrote the verses on different objects than many years later the people who knew the quran of by heart rearranged the verse as the prophet said it exactly and then put it into a book later so people could access it easier later. so there you go the prophet gave gods revelation in chapters and later people organised those to make it easier to access.

From what I understood the quran was actually written many years after the passing of the the prophet. The quran was never written by the prophet himself but requested to be written by a Caliph to unite the Arabs. Just my view. Thanks

Redwan Green ....Hafs and warsh and qaloon and etc are not versions of quran.....but different ways of reciting the quran..by stretching some vowels etc...so the words of the quran do not change, but read differently..the reason is that the quran was spread to alot of different cultures and tounges so it was read with different accents sort of speak.
Hafs and Warsh are different styles of reading the Quran. There are several styles of reading the Quran and it has existed since the time of RasuluAllah (SAAWS). Each style has its rules that is the beauty of the Quran. You can go to CZcams and listen to the same chapter read by different reciters or the same reciters. They are not versions it is different ways of reading the Quran with a beautiful voice. Muhammed himself said to beautify the Quran when reciting it. You have also tartil and tagweed which are the rules of reading correctly the Quran. I hope this was of use to you. Don't listen to people that don't know anything about the Quran, as a well schooled reciter of the Quran.

Cassandra Britannia Can you please send me a video of someone reciting the missing/extra/modified verses. The Quran has been mass memorised since the time of the Prophet till today. There are multiple unbroken chains for the Quran around the world and everyone is reciting the same Quran today and everyone has separate chains going back to the Prophet with each person receiving and memorising from the person above. No other scripture has been mass memorised like this. How can you add/subtract/modify a mass memorised scripture without - ending up with more than one Quran being recited by people today - getting every single person to change their memorised version and pass on the new changed version instead? My question: Other religion followers believe that their religion is the best as well as Muslim believes. My point is: like believe in things happening and etc, what is the source? Is it Allah the one answering their prayers? If so why?
Yeah there are a lot of miracle claims and of what I have seen they clash with other verses in the Qur'an as well as clash with other miracle claims, they clash with what science actually tells us and the verses on which they are based often saying something which has been said before.
Anything that has to do with only him can give you those answers and not humans and if they give you it must be something god said that cant be denied so for him to sit and acts he is all knowing..

Trypich The Quran says no such thing. The Injil was a revelation given to Isa. Whatever of his teachings remain are from God - the New Testament may contain some fragments of Injil but it is not all Injil. The writings of Paul and others are definitely not ‘Injil’ - as God didn’t give Jesus these teachings - they were invented and written by others. God did not ‘throw’ a book down to earth. The entire Quran was delivered orally to the prophet Muhammad from Gabriel - who got it from God. This recitation was written down into a book - so - the book didn’t come from heaven - but those EXACT words within did.

Well if humanity follows Quran teachings I wouldn't think there would be any problems of today really. let's talk about the word believe. you believe the sun is 400 times bigger than the moon. yet we have visual proof that it appears the same size in eclipse for example. but we have proof using science that the sun is actually 400 times bigger and not the same size as the moon. so we believe it is because we trust/believe the people who have done the science. example two: you believe you wife won't cheat on you, you know it's true, yet you can't prove it. does the lack of proof means that your wife is cheater? and that you are wrong ? probably not. maybe you should use the scientific method and send some guy to seduce her to check if she is really loyal or not. oh god bless the scientific method! what I am trying to say is that believe doesn't necessarily mean NO PROOF. we believe things all day mostly without proof but we are certain we are correct, that's how we are able to be flexible. imagine if we had to find PROOF for everything we believe in? if you have kids, do you have PROOF the are yours? maybe you should do a DNA test. or do you wanna stick to your blind belief? ;) if you watched the whole video and not just the "believe" part you would have been able to listen to his PROOF. firstly I'd want o say there is NO PROOF, god/Allah use the word SIGNS. and as Shabir has mentioned that when too many arrows/SIGNS pointing at the same direction then probabilistic it is the truth. They may not have been known by Arabs at that time, but certainly known by intellectuals in many other cultures. Can you think of any sentences that could not have been written by a man at that time? For example "e =mc2" or maybe a description of how the internet works? A description of the planets in our solar system, how many moons each has, which ones are rock, which gas, etc?Those are not too much to ask from God, since mere children now can write them.

No man can ever write a book like the Quran with a miraculous Seal & Control Only Allah swt can make. Each letter, word, verse, Surah & the whole Quran is all under control of a secret miraculous Seal against any corruption or alteration, not even a single letter could be added, changed, altered or omitted without being detected miraculously & mathematically by the Seal in verse 1 of the whole Quran.
No Muslim can ever write a book like The Cat in the Hat...does this also have a miraculous seal? or is it simply impossible to write a book "like" another because the criteria "like" is not falsifiable? If it's exactly like it you fail because it's just a copy and if it's not a copy then it's not exactly like it and you fail. Everyone one knows that the Qur'an was standardized by a man and that variants of the Qur'an survived destruction, but even after being standardized men just can't help themselves, they make translations where they alter the meaning of the Qur'an to fit their apologetics, for example we know what light is in Arabic and yet in the translation they feel the need to alter that into (reflected) light.
There were no penalties for palagrism at the time when Quran came and what's spoken considered truth based on who's saying it rather what based on influence and power. If Quran is a word of God than why hadees needed to complete the completed book of god.

Yes, it should be so. Although a muslim, I have many friends of various faiths and leanings (even atheists) and I can say they are as righteous and charitable as any one can be. So just be respectful and kind to all.
How do you reject the possibility that the universe as we know it is not eternal into the past? This whole thing about the quran speaking of "expansion" or big bang, is just confirmation bias. If the world of physics moves more and more towards a multiverse, which verse in the quran will confirm this?
If the past is infinite, how did the energy that makes up your body, which must have existed an infinite period of time before, traverse that infinity to get to now? If you can answer that with logic then you are a genius.

My thought on this is that everything comes from God. Everything said is said by God, through God, and with the will of God. Everything that we experience is everything that we were intended by God to experience, whether to challenge us, purify us, or whatever other purposes the moment served. The Qur'an is just another manifestation of God's intentions. Whether it was a "supernatural" God-given writing, or simply the result of Mohammad achieving spiritual enlightenment, I can't say for certain. My belief is that anyone spiritually advanced enough will recognize that God speaks through all of us. My thought on this is that Mohammad realized the same, and realized that the Qur'an is not truly a work of his own, but rather a work of God's. All of our lives are simply God's will moving through the universe. Some Allah wills to be enlightened with Scripture, or other such revelations. Some Allah wills to struggle without. Why this might be, I have no answer for. At the end of the day, these are my beliefs, and I can't truly be certain that they are correct.

The Quran makes mention of lots of natural phenomena but there is always the possibility that you could say vnah maybe it doesn't refer to that ' It alludes to the expanding universe, the big bang, the non mixing of bodies of water with different salinities, stages of embryology, water being stored in rocks, pegs of mountains, that life originated in water and many others. As a sceptic you will seek to find ways out by claiming all of these statements were flukes or don't mean what they say.
Strange how I see nothing here but hearsay no evidence of anything and those not very prominent texts that he is referring to are know as the Talmuth and were compiled in approximately 522 hundred years before Mohammad had all of his surahs. You should try reading some of them.
The Big Bang theory was first proposed by a Roman Catholic priest. This kind of creation is not mentioned in Quran. Mr. Dr. Sabir; tell me the shape of the earth according the Quran: is it flat or a sphere???
From Shabir Ally's own words - the Quran is from God because the narrative was written in a way that some intelligence appears to be speaking to Muhammad, that Muhammad was "SINCERE", that the narratives contain scientific descriptions unknown during those times, and that there are so many literary coincidences in the narratives. I don't think these reasons have any supernatural or paranormal elements in them. These are DISPUTABLE reasons. You cannot discount the possibility that the Quran was COMPOSED, EDITED, & POLISHED by a team of learned men for many years. The so-called "chain of narration" story, and the script on how the Quran was put together during the time of Uthman, there is NO WAY to verify these CLAIMS. It is a story that every Muslim MUST accept and believe as TRUE. What we need is an authentic supernatural or paranormal evidence BEYOND mere literary analysis. Pragmatic worldview demonstrates quite clearly, that God has NEVER interacted with humans outside the STORIES narrated inside any religious writings. It is as if God only exists in the Books, and nowhere else! Look around you, has Allah ever spoken to any Muslim at all? You have to be honest.

I would say you need to think out for yourself if you do believe in God before considering Islam, but you can also find that out while studying Islam, as it encourages you to ponder upon the whole existence. I would say that there is absolutely a creator. Like Shabir said, there are a lot of reasons to believe, and a lot of reasons to believe in Islam. If you count those all up, then it is highly unlikely that it is not true. As someone who doesnt no much of the content of the Quran nor of its history, the option that it is manmade and polished is not impossible. However, to judge whether this is indeed and in fact a possiblity, you need to know what the content of the book is. After all, there can not be any mistakes. There is also no doubt that, objectively speaking, the book leads to a straight path and only promotes good and forbids evil. Its a book that, when its followed by man, will lead you to absolute perfect personality.
The devil is very knowledgeable on the universe as well. A just God wouldn't refute his word and restate it. Wake up. Did this come from the Living God or the Wicked god of the pagans.
I'm guessing for all practicing muslims that the most basic belief is that the Koran is the divine word of God. Taking that as a starting point and then following the rules, teachings and ideas that he has laid down in the Koran in order to live your life. So its a very important argument to see what proof there is that the Koran is the word of God and this is central to the entire belief system. As you can see from this video when you ask this question there are many reasons given which on the surface seem plausible but when you delve deeper I believe they are found wanting. First of all seemingly amazing revelations about science/universe are not restricted to the Koran and there are actually even more amazing feats from the ancient Greeks. Eratosthenes who lived several hundred years before the Koran theorised that the Earth was round and actually measured its circumference. Democritus who lived 1000 years before the Koran theorised the atomic structure of matter, hypothesized also that the world was round and one was one of many, and also postulated that men had one been more primitive creatures who lived in caves without language. These are 2 examples of many from the ancient Greek world. Now for a minute imagine if these men had written down that this knowledge had come from God? We might be tempted to read this today and say it must be true it must have come from God. Really ask yourself when you believe the Koran is the word of God what you are basing this on? A prediction that the Roman empire would fall? A few general statements about the nature of the universe which as you can see were not beyond the level of science that men had already been debating for 1000 years in the ancient world. Then there is the point on it being a great work of literature. Many previously unknown men and women have produced great works of philosophy. Every society in history has holy books and religious beliefs none of which can hold any more proof that the others its just a fact of human nature. You could have been born in another country and you could just as easily been another religion. Its just an extension of our tribal nature. When you say "I'm a Muslim" or "I'm a Christian" you just put up a boundary because there are always going to be differences on how God tells you to lead your life depending on your religion (what to eat, what to wear, how to pray etc) Would it not be better to start by saying "I'm a human being" ? And realise that your "religion" is just a cultural hangup and that there are more important things we share as humans than our religion?

The fact here is not that the Quran brought new things or knowledge, but it's that in the Quran, there is only the true scientific knowledge and not the mistakes. Quran was memorized by the people at the time. It was way later on that they decided to write it down because they were afraid the memorizers would die off in wars. They didn't die but they wrote the book regardless. The writing was proofed by everyone. People memorized the quran exactly the way Muhammad recited it, even to pronounciation. If he did he would have immediately been shut down because everyone in saudi arabia would know what he was trying to do. Message of God is message of salvation not judgment. Bible proclaims way of salvation through Jesus. We need to compare God n His revelation. To me, this is clearly from the mind of Muhammad because he got annoyed by company and the idea of those guests wanting his wives after he died bothered him. It sounds like he had guests over, they got on his nerves, they were served by his wives, he got jealous and came up with this surah. So to have authority he wanted, he concocted a story that this is Allah's word.

the prophet didn't give one verse an then go to another verse and then skip another 5 verses like he didnt know what he was doing. he did it as a whole surah at the time when it would have been best.the verses were not disjoined the prophet gave a whole chapter at one time .and at that time the prphet couldnt keep a book with him the whole time to write it down so he wrote the verses on different objects than many years later the people who knew the quran of by heart rearranged the verse as the prophet said it exactly and then put it into a book later so people could access it easier later. so there you go the prophet gave gods revelation in chapters and later people organised those to make it easier to access.

Redwan Green ....Hafs and warsh and qaloon and etc are not versions of quran.....but different ways of reciting the quran..by stretching some vowels etc...so the words of the quran do not change, but read differently..the reason is that the quran was spread to alot of different cultures and tounges so it was read with different accents sort of speak.
Hafs and Warsh are different styles of reading the Quran. There are several styles of reading the Quran and it has existed since the time of RasuluAllah (SAAWS). Each style has its rules that is the beauty of the Quran. You can go to CZcams and listen to the same chapter read by different reciters or the same reciters. They are not versions it is different ways of reading the Quran with a beautiful voice. Muhammed himself said to beautify the Quran when reciting it. You have also tartil and tagweed which are the rules of reading correctly the Quran. I hope this was of use to you. Don't listen to people that don't know anything about the Quran, as a well schooled reciter of the Quran.
There are errors and corrections in the early copies of the Koran. The Topkapi, Samarkhand, Sanaa etc have insertions, deletions, over-written parts.

There are multiple unbroken chains for the Quran around the world and everyone is reciting the same Quran today and everyone has separate chains going back to the Prophet with each person receiving and memorising from the person above.

Yeah there are a lot of miracle claims and of what I have seen they clash with other verses in the Qur'an as well as clash with other miracle claims, they clash with what science actually tells us and the verses on which they are based often saying something which has been said before.

The Quran says no such thing. The Injil was a revelation given to Isa. Whatever of his teachings remain are from God - the New Testament may contain some fragments of Injil but it is not all Injil.

As a rational-thinking being I also wonder why god would use Gabriel, if he can just do it himself without any work at all. It's around the same amount of work as telling Gabriel first (but on the other hand, messengers of an omnipotent being are not needed in the first place). Everyone one knows that the Qur'an was standardized by a man and that variants of the Qur'an survived destruction, but even after being standardized men just can't help themselves, they make translations where they alter the meaning of the Qur'an to fit their apologetics, for example we know what light is in Arabic and yet in the translation they feel the need to alter that into (reflected) light.

My thought on this is that everything comes from God. Everything said is said by God, through God, and with the will of God. Everything that we experience is everything that we were intended by God to experience, whether to challenge us, purify us, or whatever other purposes the moment served. The Qur'an is just another manifestation of God's intentions. Whether it was a "supernatural" God-given writing, or simply the result of Mohammad achieving spiritual enlightenment, I can't say for certain.
My belief is that anyone spiritually advanced enough will recognize that God speaks through all of us. My thought on this is that Mohammad realized the same, and realized that the Qur'an is not truly a work of his own, but rather a work of God's. All of our lives are simply God's will moving through the universe. Some Allah wills to be enlightened with Scripture, or other such revelations. Some Allah wills to struggle without. Why this might be, I have no answer for. At the end of the day, these are my beliefs, and I can't truly be certain that they are correct.

As someone who doesnt no much of the content of the Quran nor of its history, the option that it is manmade and polished is not impossible. However, to judge whether this is indeed and in fact a possiblity, you need to know what the content of the book is. After all, there can not be any mistakes.

I'm guessing for all practicing muslims that the most basic belief is that the Koran is the divine word of God. Taking that as a starting point and then following the rules, teachings and ideas that he has laid down in the Koran in order to live your life. So its a very important argument to see what proof there is that the Koran is the word of God and this is central to the entire belief system. As you can see from this video when you ask this question there are many reasons given which on the surface seem plausible but when you delve deeper I believe they are found wanting.
First of all seemingly amazing revelations about science/universe are not restricted to the Koran and there are actually even more amazing feats from the ancient Greeks. Eratosthenes who lived several hundred years before the Koran theorised that the Earth was round and actually measured its circumference. Democritus who lived 1000 years before the Koran theorised the atomic structure of matter, hypothesized also that the world was round and one was one of many, and also postulated that men had one been more primitive creatures who lived in caves without language. These are 2 examples of many from the ancient Greek world.
Now for a minute imagine if these men had written down that this knowledge had come from God? We might be tempted to read this today and say it must be true it must have come from God. Really ask yourself when you believe the Koran is the word of God what you are basing this on? A prediction that the Roman empire would fall? A few general statements about the nature of the universe which as you can see were not beyond the level of science that men had already been debating for 1000 years in the ancient world. Then there is the point on it being a great work of literature. Many previously unknown men and women have produced great works of philosophy. Every society in history has holy books and religious beliefs none of which can hold any more proof that the others its just a fact of human nature. You could have been born in another country and you could just as easily been another religion. Its just an extension of our tribal nature. When you say "I'm a Muslim" or "I'm a Christian" you just put up a boundary because there are always going to be differences on how God tells you to lead your life depending on your religion (what to eat, what to wear, how to pray etc) Would it not be better to start by saying "I'm a human being" ? And realise that your "religion" is just a cultural hangup and that there are more important things we share as humans than our religion?

If islam has all the answers and solutions, then why muslims are not allowed or killed when questioning their religion? If islam has all answers, it would easy to clear misunderstandings, why killing when you can't answer? why people are killed when leaving islam? Meanings of a word in that time in Arabic language were various so it is not literally marvel in anyway same one word could be used in various scenarios so rhyming would be easy because of it actually many sects in islam would have been developed they understand that words differently. You are looking at some historic account and make every possible assumption where the reality is unclear with the purpose of confirming your initial narrative. Quran was memorized by the people at the time. It was way later on that they decided to write it down because they were afraid the memorizers would die off in wars. They didn't die but they wrote the book regardless. The writing was proofed by everyone. People memorized the quran exactly the way Muhammad recited it, even to pronounciation.
There wasnt a moment where some guy after Muhammad sat down and edited the book. If he did he would have immediately been shut down because everyone in saudi arabia would know what he was trying to do. Message of God is message of salvation not judgment. Bible proclaims way of salvation through Jesus. We need to compare God n His revelation. How can anyone believe that Allah was thinking for all eternity about how to get rid of Muhammads dinner guests? And why worry about who his wives marry after his death? To me, this is clearly from the mind of Muhammad because he got annoyed by company and the idea of those guests wanting his wives after he died bothered him. It sounds like he had guests over, they got on his nerves, they were served by his wives, he got jealous and came up with this surah.
So to have authority he wanted, he concocted a story that this is Allah's word.
