    You know what? Shouldn't parents be happy if their kids are playing video games. It keeps them fuckin quiet for a few hours.

    It’s dumb for them to sue them over this

    the parents are complete idiots. I know my family wouldn't do that to me, because if I'm playing a game & say for example they tell me that dinner is ready I just tell them to hold on until I can save & I'll be right there.

    Sad truth is that in this day and age, anyone will sue anyone for anything…

      Honestly that is exactly right. People don’t take jobs anymore. They just sue people to make money or have a bunch of kids and live off of child support. It’s ridiculous!

    Here’s the answer to the “problem:” set a curfew to how long the kids can play for so that they don’t spend too much time on them. I mean, assume some responsibility for managing your kids’ gaming. That isn’t going to stop game companies from doing their job. So why should they have to be held accountable just because the parents aren’t doing THEIR job? It’s no different than the crap about violent video games.

    Its funny how so many people don't want to assume responsibility for their own actions. Parent your own child and limit the amount of time they play their games. Easy and simple.

    This is just messed up. They went over the sueing just for a girl trying out a video game? I seriously don't think these parents who are suing in a disgusting illogical way to the game companies that isn't harming her aren't video game players.
    I also do think her parents is pretty much bad parents if they aren't allowing their own daughter to have fun.

    Those parents should buy Mario the lost levels for the kid that will get them of that addiction in a sec

    There are more benefits to play video games than negative but the negative are bad. One of the positives is good hand eye coordination

    This lawsuit is just about as frivolous as a case in which two teenagers filed an unsuccessful suit against McDonald's for making them obese (presiding judge: Robert W. Sweet, the same judge who presided over the Universal v. Nintendo case over Donkey Kong).

    So they are suing for their child being addicted when they could have just turned on parental controls and control their kid and actually raise their child like a normal adult? This feels like another “parents think video games are bad” fiasco. Why attempt to ruin the whole video game industry just because you can’t control your kid?

    • @Geekaloompa
      @Geekaloompa Před 4 měsíci +2

      A child cannot become addicted to anything at such a young age. To think there are actual parents out there who think Video games will instantly make you addicted if you play it just 1 time it's very concerning to me.

    • @PikachuLover0927
      @PikachuLover0927 Před 4 měsíci

      @@Geekaloompa Also the fact that people have to blame video games on everything when it really is the parents’ responsibility. A gaming company makes video games not to raise your kid

    Oh no, the kid wants to keep play video games. Kind of like how we're addicted to phones and tablets.

    So they’re suing Nintendo for not actively setting screen time limits? I’m going to try and follow this story because the first thing Nintendo’s lawyers are going to fire back at them is; hey guys 👋🏼 we have the Nintendo parental control app, where we give you the option to set a limit on how long your child can play daily without even attacking them as a parent. This is silly and sue culture is a joke.

  • @crisgames64

  • @Geekaloompa
    @Geekaloompa Před 4 měsíci +1

    There is no such thing as a "video game addiction" It's just another made up fake disorder created by angry adults. So bizarre that adults still try and pull these stunts for 15 minutes of fame.

    • @FredrIQ
      @FredrIQ Před 4 měsíci

      video game addiction is a real thing though

    • @Geekaloompa
      @Geekaloompa Před 4 měsíci

      @@FredrIQ Sorry, this isn't up for debate. Me, as a video game player for over 25+ years I find it a bit ignorant on your part to just say that. A child cannot become addicted to anything at such a young age. Unless the parent had passed on a hereditary addiction gene onto the child than that would be called a general addiction because the parents went out drinking, gambling, or smoking, or eating fast food everyday, or taking pharma drugs, etc those are all real life addictions that some adults develop. To say a child is addicted to video games is like saying a child is addicted to having fun and enjoying their time. With all due respect I will cease this discussion and further replies are no longer desired. Have a nice day & Blessed Be. :)
