    I agree with everyone here... You did a fantastic job of explaining and capturing the footage needed to train a newbie like me on how to change the oil. Bravo!

    Thanks very much it took me 10 minutes, the bottom side take off is definitely not required. Just start on side stand and then just for a bit more clearance, I put centre stand up to put new oil filter in place. Absolutely slick and fast change out.

    Great video. Really good jpb of explaining.
    One question, which filter wrench are you using? I tried a few and have had dificutly and I don't want to shell out close to $40 bucks for the Honda one. A link would be great. Thanks in advance.

      If you want to use the Honda filter, it’s actually cheaper to buy the filter and wrench set rather than buy the wrench on its own - part number: 15010MKR305
      That’s for a honda filter AND the wrench. £20.60 here in UK - wrench on its own is stupidly expensive!

    can you also acces the spark plugs via the small panels or do the whole fairings need to come off?

    • @DoingDaveStuff
      @DoingDaveStuff  Před 11 měsíci +1

      You should be able to do it with just the small panels. Its been awhile

    Oil filters should not be filled period . Too much chance of contamination . 65 years of wrenching here .

      Each side of the debate has valid points so I usually just say what I do and let whoever is listening make there own decisions.

      Hey Dave, thanks for your vid. Did you buy your ST new, or 2nd hand, and have you only run the Mobil 1 bike oil in it?
      Thanks.
