This was incredibly informative, Paul. Not only did you provide me with a visual demonstration & audio on RTV mold-making, but you provided a number of great tips and tricks to make the process easier. Love it. Keep up the great work!

Ah this is great! Now I see they are chisel handles. You have a nice setup there with the vacuum mold and the wax pump. Looks like a great shop. Thanks!

voiceover is a great success. much easier to understand you when no interference from machine noises. thank you for the video. would be great if you could talk more about how scrapers work including more detail about optimal blade thickness/hardness, optimal setup for scraper planes/ mods that you found useful etc. you have a wealth of practical knowledge, and many are eager to learn! Thanks!

@@paulhamler8315 Thankyou. I have watched. I’m still trying to figure out how to use the Lie Nielsen version I have, with the thick blade. I can’t make it cut (a cheap #80 works better) so I was hoping to learn what I am doing wrong. Someone I know has the Veritas version, and he can’t get it to work either.

Buy a card scraper and cut it to fit your lei Nielsen sharpen it like my video. The blade in the lie Nielsen is way too thick .

I like the voice over. It allows you to focus on the work and the explanation at separate times.
Also, are you casting Abom Logos at 4:04?

Can I ask how you tapered the pvc pipe.
It is from outside at one edge or tapered from inside.

Paul if you read this, do you have an experience or recommendations on lost wax non ferrous metal casting in steel or iron for small parts? I've done lots of silver/gold/brass with lost wax. I suspect it would need to be jobbed out to a commercial vendor??? I'd send an email but can't find one referenced to contact you. Regards, and Thanks.
