  • For an upcoming project I need Bismuth Trioxide, and here is the process I used to make it.
    Follow the channel here: odysee.com/@ElementalMaker:8
    Pure Elemental Bismuth Metal: amzn.to/3dxYyRg
In retrospect, I probably should have done a displacement with a hydroxide salt while the bismuth nitrate was still in solution, but the thermal decomposition in quartz glass was pretty neat to see.

I understand wanting to not be under their thumb, but I will say that at least for myself, I won't follow away from CZcams as it has apps on all my devices including my tv, and it is rare that I watch videos sitting at my computer. That is just my two cents and I enjoy your content and would really enjoy seeing the energetics you have planned, but only if I don't have to follow you elsewhere to see them. In my drug using days i learned that if u have a scoop of powder or crystals, if you stick the whole scoop in or the whole fold of the scoop and hold the tube level and just rotate the entire thing then you wont spill any and get the most inside the quickest... lol. Ohh the jitters ensue... drugs are bad mmkay..

Why not react the Bismuth with nitric and then mix it with bicarb? The insoluble Carbonate just thermally decomposes to remove carbon dioxide and what’s left in the solution is sodium nitrate with a bicarb impurity.

"Despite having half a gram laying in front of me.." Man you missed it.. A couple weeks ago I had four sessions where I had 100+ grams laying in front of me. Though that was weed not bismuth trioxide lol. We ended up with ~436 grams out of 4 plants, unfortunately one or two plants went hermaphrodite on us and produced seeds in everything so it's mostly shit looking and requires a LOT of work removing all the seeds before use. Oh and before anyone freaks out, I live in California, recreational use/home growing is legal and we have all the filters and whatnot. And if anyone wants to know what we grew, 2 were a hybrid called Dragon Fruit (which had absolutely no fruity smell at all even though it was supposed to smell just like the fruit) 1 was Panama Pupil V3 I believe and another was Mexican Bacon.. both those are sativas... much taller plants close to the same yield. Both DF plants produced 4oz (well one was 4.1) and the two sativas were in the high 3's.

Ok but any concentrated nitric reacts with metal to produce NO2 fumes, no? Should have poured it out by itself to see if it was actually RFNA…

  • @pierreetienneschneider6731

And the yield is... abysmal ... You missed the chance, you could have said a pepto Bismol.
Edit: Chemical jokes get no reaction :p

Interesting stuff by the way. Having studied chemistry myself I'm quite impressed, by both the work put in the realisation of your videos, and the way you manage to make it lively and understandable. Congrats.
