    • @hubrisnaut
      @hubrisnaut Před 4 lety

      @@zumbazumba1 There is plenty of information on the internet about making the more stable stable potassium perchlorate with an electrolytic cell. To make potassium nitrate you would have to make nitric acid from concentrated ammonia first. Not easy but it can be done with the right lab equipment. You can also make it in traditional ways by using animal dung or urine. Under the right conditions, the precursor can potentially be collected from aged farm animal urine and dung leavings and from bat or bird guano. The Wikipedia entry on it has a good overview of the various processes. All that said, you could just buy it in small amounts for use in hobby rockets.

    Yeah it should scare ya. I had gunpowder flash over my hand when i was kid while i was trying to dry it over a hot plate. Nasty burns and scarring that still has a tingle of numbness.
    Would like to get a smoke recipe that isn't so toxic though.

      Oh man I'm sorry to hear that. Lactose based colored smoke compositions would probably be the least toxic with the most smoke production.

    since it burns so slow, it would be interesting to make it into stars and make an "instant" smoke grenade like tanks use

      @@ElementalMaker yea I get it bud 👍 it's great though lol to be honest I think it is better than "homemade smokescreen" ect and probably more technically accurate 😂
