So cool, I would like to put a 12v into my ‘88 F250 that I’m fixing up. The 351w it has is alright but I need a diesel in the fleet.

Love seeing that 12v going back together. Your vid is concise and to the points. Appreciate that parts list, though mine doesn't need that yet. Putting this in Favorites. BTW, cool music. What is it? Also, was wondering if there are hydraulic lifter kits for the 12v. Seems like Cummins is conservative to a fault.

What was the clearance on the main bearings? Why was part of the video blurred? What is the lift and duration and lobe separation on the cam you are using?

Was that a stock block you bead honed or did you have it reworked?
It was stock. The it checked out with the machine shop so we just did a light hone.

Hey man just a question about the part of the video where you install the camshaft, whats the deal with only 1 cam bearing? do these engines only come with 1 bearing in the front? is there no bearing in the rear or throughout the block?

There's more than one way to skin a cat. No matter how I did this comments like this will show up 🤷♂️
Aren't you supposed to plastiguage with all the bearings dry? The lube on the other side would throw the readings off.
Plastic piston cooling nozzles, not using one proper measuring tool for the whole build, dingle berry ball hone, when it should have been torque plated, and then professionally honed. Did it have any cylinder taper? Who tf knows that aint important, the china bearings/pistons must have been on sale, mahle H series bearings are almost an industry standard, after that idk i clicked off the video im sure when you get into degreeing the cam, and setting the pump timing up, as well as choosing your parts that will all be 😬, let me gues your gonna run PDD injectors and so on? Dont. A proper mechanical build is a very methodic task, wrong combos or low quality shit = a smokey pig with no power. The piston bowl width on a 180 piston is 2.051" vs the 215s 2.024" also just putting that out there as you guys stated they were the same other than the lower ring landing.
I did see a new cam bearing so props for that.
As stated at the beginning this is not a tutorial video. For the sake of time and entertainment i left out many things such as the head, crank and block being checked over for spec by the machine shop. If you think this is the "wrong way" that's fine. I'll go check out your channel to see how to do it the right way 🤷♂️
