- Can you turn a $13 Intex 200 inflatable toy boat into a homemade floating LazyBoy with a marine battery, floorboard, trolling motor, cup holder, and a 200 pound six foot passenger?
Part one shows what I did to the boat, part 2 shows me in the boat out on the water. It worked great!

This is about the least amount of money you can spend and have a lot of fun out on the water.
If you sit in the bottom of the boat with your feet sticking out just like in a LazyBoy recliner, and you stay in calm protected water
( and you can swim or wear a life jacket) and watch out for alligators, you will have a lot of fun, get a big smile, and feel like you are actually in your LazyBoy recliner out on the water.
It is a hoot.
The only tricky part is getting out of the boat at the end..
I bought my Intex 200 on Amazon for $13 in June 2014.
your mileage may vary.
I used an old thrift store Shakespeare trolling motor with only 12 pound thrust. It is a lightweight motor that cost only $20 used. I added a 3/4 inch plywood floorboard and a commercially made motor mount that cost $20, but could have made my own from scrap.
if you don't get out on the water this summer, it is your own fault.
I add new videos every week. If you know others that might like this video, please go ahead and share it. - Jak na to + styl
I was right there with you, until you got to the part about the alligators!! ...lol God bless.
Thanks Taleulah!
Seriously, you floated in the canal with possibe alligators?!? Cool idea, Robb! Like the boat.
Thanks Jen, I have not seen any alligators in this canal, but they can be anywhere down here.
Thanks LA!
Another guy found a foam kickboard that would just fit inside of it added boyancy.
Hello budy, how are you?
I live in Brazil I have an inflatable boat of the same model, could you tell me how did this support for the electric motor or send me photos of it?
Hello. here is the econd video showing it in use

it worked ok but was very small and after a while it is hard to sit.
How did you fashion the motor mount?
Hello Jim. I bought that mount years ago on eBay for just a few dollars. It's just a piece of plywood and two pieces of thin metal tubing that are bent at the ends and attached to the plywood with metal view bolts. Here is a link on Amazon but they are not available or in stock right now. You can see what they look like though. www.amazon.ca/Airhead-AHIBT-1-Transom-Motor-Inflatable/dp/B0075JP74S
