Hey Pheonix I think you could improve the unit reviews by having the counters and teammates section reversed. I think by stating the counters first viewers would better understand why the teammates would be effective as viewers would have the counters in mind will you describe the units.

I have to say, I love the references they made to PoR with his skills.
Alondite's distant counter is pretty self-explanatory (Magic laser swords)
Steady Stance is a reference to Alondite's passive ability of +5 def
Wings of Mercy represent the warp powder he always uses
Black Luna is his skill in the final fight against me
AND ALL OF HIS STATS ARE BETTER THAN MINE EVEN WHEN I MAX OUT ALL MY STATS

I found that Black Knight and Brave Lucina work really well together. An armored unit with an effective 41 defense, 53 attack, and 40 speed on player phase is crazy (even more so since I S supported Black Knight, and I had B!Lucina and Black Knight support as well)
The problem with this is enemy mages... Lucina doesn't fix that weakness, she only adds to it. You have 2 characters, both very weak to any kind of magic, moving together very slowly. Any kind of mage will put a hole in that, especially Rein and Cecilia.
EntropyUnleashed Black Knight walls Cecilia and can kill Celica, while obliterating any colorless unit. Pivot fixes the speed issue of Black Knight moving with Brave Lucina. My team carries a dancer with Spring Elise that takes care of Reinhard and other blue mages easily.

I summoned a Brave Ike with -Atk, +Res on the CYL banner. I now know what I must do...

The concept of power creep is that a new element in a game replaces the old ones outclassing them, therefore people will be most likely to pay to get this new element (note that the black knight is a free unit). So unless they release a stronger version of the black knight, he won't 'powercreep' the future armored units, since he would not be a new one, yet I agree that he powercreeped the current sword armors, as they are pretty obsolete since his introduction in the game.

You have no idea how happy I am that the Black Knight is in Heroes. He's one of my favorite villains. And he's super busted, just like in the original game. And I have a feeling the tempest trials characters from now on are gonna be used to introduce more powerful villains to the game. I guess it would make sense just to avoid giving too many good units for a GHB like Xander and Camus.

Was RD already in development at that point? If not, they didn't really "switch names" as much as it was changed in localisation. Then IS maybe referenced it in RD and the translation team completed the circle.
Though based on the name, it being swapped would also make sense, since it is most likely based off Arondight (or Aroundight), a sword often attributed to Lancelot of Arthurian legend. Probably because Greil's original name is Gawain, the sword is another reference :)

Phoenix, before you were making this video, I was thinking of giving Black Knight Distant Def and Wrath to him, but I didn't know about his assist or Slot C, I can't give him Steady Breath because I don't have Brave Ike sadly. Red armoed: heavy/slaying spear (Lance)
Green armoed:Armorslayer (Sword)
Blue armoed:Hammer(Axe)

Ive fully built mine with Heavy Blade 3, Wrath 3 and merge +1 and S Summoner support. He destroys arena and tempest trials, he also carried me through the clarisse grand her battle on infernal! :D

I took a break and missed him. But there was a deal on orbs with him bundled in. Black Knight and 12 orbs for $3.99. I jumped all over that deal. I’m so happy to have him. He’s so good.
Do you think it's a good idea to give him heavy blade because I have one Ike left and don't know if I use him for skills inheritance or merged him with my Ike +2

Let's assume Alvis will be ghb and let's assume he will want Raur blade over Valflame. On an armor emblem team of Hector, Brave Lance Effie Black knight and Alvis who should get what C skills?
I'm thinking Ward armor Alvis because he won't be tanking much if he blade user.
Hector Goad because he comes naturally with it
Hone armor black knight as he's already fast and has black luna and this way he can buff effie and Alvis more.
And lastly effie fortify because...why not?

I just got Black Knight yesterday, and merge him with the 4* Black Knight I got a few days, and I am still working on his skill inheritance slots yet. Besides those mentioned in the video is there another slots I can use instead, and while I got the team ready, but I got Hector in another team I want to keep him in. Any thoughts to improve my Black Knight?

PlasmaWisp100 B Ike is better then Hector and S Chrom, he's a really op unit but it's up to you in the end, personally i say don't. XD

Damn I did actually get a spare Celica. Maybe I should give him Distance Def + the Seal to give him 8 more points in Res to have a better shot against mages and utterly stomp archers, but I'm worried that someone else could make better use of Distant Def and I'd be wasting it
I really want a Celica in order to give my +Res Summer Leo, so yeah you could use it on a magic check but the skill on Black Knight would still be amazing.
Bowserslave It isn't a really bad idea. With armors buff, Distant counter 3 and the sacred seal, Black Knight reaches 32 Resistence, which is INSANE. Not mentioning that no archer could touch him with a solid 49 def. With 32 Res... Maybe he could survive Olwen or Delthea? Not Reinhardt tho.
I run LnD3 from a 5* Minerva that had very bad IVs, Desperation 3 from the free to play Shanna and a Fortify Def that swaps with fortify Armor when i'm using him on the armor team. As support skill i gave him Ardent Sacrifice. I know it's not a good idea to actually do that but quite honestly i tried to use him in different situations being arena, TT, GBH and stuff like that and quite honestly he was pretty much the demon of the battle, also cause i have a Kindled-Fire Balm+Reahbilitate and Fortify Res 3 Maria that keeps him alive no matter who he faces. Also he is my Summoner S support and he S support with my - hp + atk Maria so he can still be quite the wall to bring down
So I only have 1 brave ike, and I was wondering if I should inherit steady breath to my black knight because I don't see myself using bike very often?

RMTB yes. Foddering off a limited edition unit like black knight is not worth it and it is better used with merging

I'm running the fury/vantage build but I really wish I had a spare Bike for Steady Breath its so strong with his amazing defense and special. Oh well, hopefully they put Steady Breath on another unit eventually.

running the steady breath vantage set in a BK+1 with quicken pulse and it has done a fantastic job in Arena. and can grind the lvl 35 TT in auto-battle almost on his own due to inflated stats on him with the support of a healer... I'm impressed

I run threaten atk... since this is my enemy phase unit, he needs to get hit in order to proc Steady Breath + Black Luna combo. as of now, he did an amazing job with this set.

I got the 4 Star Version of him and powerleveled him to 40, then unlocked his potential to 5 Stars and powerleveled him again to 40, to get that massive boost of SP and buy all his skills plus Inherit Skills.
I have been running him with Vantage + Steady Defense because I surprisingly don't have any unit to get Quick Riposte from. But is Quick Riposte really that better for that build?
I have been trying to get BIke and Nephenee to run the third build you showed, but godamn, it is hard to get those.

This isn't a question about black knight, but i'm wondering how do you raise your arena defense team's arena score from 570+ to 700's? Or is that the highest?
Each character rating is based on your chars' skills + stats. You'll face opponents with similar ratings as your own team + the higher the rating, the more points they give.
I run him with Life and Death 3, vantage, +1 spd seal and S rank support and I must say he is awesome in Arena and TT.

I'd take Fury3 over LaD3 on him any day. Difference between them is 2 spd + atk, but at the cost of 8 res + def.
I would love a legit guide on how to build an Armor Emblem team. I want to use Amelia, Hector, Effie and Burger Ki-- I mean Black Knight in the same team, since i already have a Flier Emblem, Horse Emblem and Mage Emblem team. However, due to how differently armored units play, i'm not exactly sure what the best course of action is.
Put renewal and distance defense seal and you can solo the Part 5: Warriors Hard mode for great SP gain

No, Black Knight can run different skills in his Slot A since he has distant counter built into Alondite. So he can drop Steady Stance in favor of Steady Breath or Fury or whatever else.
With Zephiel, you basically have to use Slot A to give him Distant Counter from Hector in order to make him viable, therefore you can't really run Zeph with a skill like Steady Breath.

Run both Black Knight and Zephiel, they will net you points in Arena overall. Amelia really does not need DC so I think you are fine, I have not used Effie much but I think she is not a good bait unit. Wait till they announce the supposed Arvis GHB, as he is an armored red mage in his game
