How GOOD is Ike?
You get no sympathy from him when you fight him!
But when you have him, he fights for your friends!
The editing on these unit reviews is crazy great. I love the sheer effort that goes into each of the graphics, it makes them quite nice to look at. All the necessary info pops quite well, and it really helps streamline and simplify complicated info. It puts all the important information like high/low stats and builds in a really nice format. It's a lot like those physical strategy guides I used to look at back in the day, but a step further, if that makes sense. I like watching your unit reviews for a lot of reasons, but the effort that goes behind the graphics itself makes them worth watching.
Also, I have a Hector build to suggest that I've been using for your review series, the ones where you go through a bunch of units at once:
-Armads
-Pivot
-Bonfire
-Distant Counter
-Vantage 3
-C doesn't matter too much, I gave him Hone Attack 3 since he already has 1 and 2, and it's part of what makes him unique. Plus it makes him feel a bit closer to his daughter. I stack it with hone attack and threaten defense to set up Eliwood or whoever my fourth usually is.
Sort of cookie cutter or probably common knowledge, since Hector (and counter units in general) are simple to build, though I can attest that it's great.
Another great build could be swapping Vantage and Bonfire for Renewal and Sol/Noontime to make him more of a tank and keep him in Armads HP range, though it may not be as effective.
That is the exact set I have for my Hector as well, still grinding sp for Bonfire thou haha

The answer is simple :
Ike has high HP and ATK, decent SPD and DEF but a relatively bad RES
He has a skill that only him can have that synergizes perfectly with his ATK stat and can charge Aether much faster.
And last, but not least, he has a BUILT IN DISTANT COUNTER, BOYS !
So yeah, Ike is dope as fuck.
Now I want to kill myself because my best friend summoned 2 Ikes on the same row :')

Sane here, I even linked my very first Nintendo account ever made to FE Heroes, and all I managed to summon is Ryoma (+Atk -Res), Hector (+HP -Spd), Karel (?), and Peri (+Spd -Def)
I just hope when I summon from my alt account, that I can get Ike this time -___-
hmmm.... im pretty sure ike can ihereit that skill to ryoma making ryoma still the better choice, am i missing something?, not saying ike is bad but i dont think he has anything other units cant get with character inhereitance

I got a +Spd Ike so I personally run Heavy Blade, Vantage and a Spd/Atk buffer support (Ephraim), allowing Ike to reach 39 Spd with the Sacred Seal.
So basically I made a mix between the two sets suggested in the video. Threaten Spd is a viable option here if you feel 39 Spd is not enough, but I run Threaten Atk.
Thought I'd share since this it's working wonders for me and other people might want to take advantage of a +Spd Ike this way.
Meanwhile I'm using a Navarre kek

anyway, i'm waiting for a "how good is soren" video, since he's the only PoR character i have now, but since he's one of my favourite characters of the whole saga, probably only behind ike, i'm super happy i got him
though his ivs are quite bad, sincd he's - speed and + resistance

The only notable pull I got from hero fest was a +speed -def. not quite good enough for desperation but I'm working on a "budget" vantage set. Problem is, on the account I have him in, I have no unit with Vantage other than a 4 star Reinhardt, which I'm hesitant on because he's +attack -speed.. and I know how "broken" that spread is too. Have a 5* version on my older account that wrecks.
Ike is my favorite Fire Emblem character and I'm really glad I got him.
I have an unrelated question though, does anybody know the spread of Pheonixmaster's Reindhardt that he used with his "Quadsuna"? I'm rewatching the video he posted but I can't find anywhere that he mentioned his spread.

B: Vantage 3
C: Threaten Attack 3

(My Ike has a Defense boon and an Attack bane, ik it's far from the best IV for him...)

Like for the Ike.
Threaten Speed is another really good slot C skill to prevent him from getting doubled. Give him the speed seal and run a hone speed user like eirika, and he'll destroy enemies. It also works well with quick riposte
Would you say that, along with Hector and Kagero, that Nowi is a good teammate for Ike? What C skills would you put on these guys to complement him?
my ike build is moonbow fury vantage threaten def. with this he can beat ryoma of any build. kills 129 units out of 141.

fun fact: while messing with the damage calculator, i found that cannot suffer defeat while attacking(0 loss) if he is +2 (with ATK+ as a boon), while lord like Ryoma will suffer defeat even at +10 wich make ike a more potentially powerfull unit than ryoma, now i just have to find 3 ike to merge... how and ike is also the best lord without skill inheritance (at least better than ryoma).

I think Ike vs Ryoma for the sword slot on your team comes down to preference. Sure Ryoma has better resistance, but are you really going to be throwing either of them in front of a Linde or Reinhardt? Nino and Julia would be the meta units you're baiting with them, and Ike can tank those hits too. Ike's the perfect sword lord for someone running a mobile yet tanky team, Ryoma is the perfect sword lord for a hit and run glass cannon team.
What are your thoughts on Soren?
I really like him, but I dont want him to be just another Nino knockoff

If I have an Ike with a +Spd/-Res build, and has merged with 2 other Ikes, then what skills should I give him? (note: I also have a Hector, Azura, and Nino on my team as well)
I pulled a -atk +def ike today. Happy about getting ike, but god that iv spread is awful. Wondering if i should change the heavy blade skillset because of the -atk, not totally sure though.
Got a + def - speed ike gave him Quick Rispote 2 and threaten def and a + 1 def seal. He works well with my + res Felicia.

Pheonixmaster1 I've been able to have my [-SPD, +HP with HP Seal] Cherche bait in Reinhardt so that he's not in range of a dancer and allow me to KO him the next turn.
Also, my ATK boon Olwen can KO Reinhardt if initiating.
Except for my Reinhardt he's trash attack minus

I just pulled Ike from the hero fest 2 and he's +atk, plus other than Julia I have all of the people he can work together with.
my ryoma and my ike are so weird my ryoma has 38 spd but 18 resistance regular hp and 50 atk 27 def
but ike 39 hp 51 atk 31 spd 32 def 21 resistance so which one should i use more often ???
Ike is really great but his resistance can be annoying sometimes. Of course, that's easily remedied by just being careful. Will definitely be running him with my main team for the time being. I wonder how Xander will compare to him and Ryoma

Lemonade Candy bit late but id say use the + def -res one. Extra tankiness helps a lot and even with the worse res he can still take a hit from most nino's and other green mages. You really don't want less speed.
I managed to get two ryomas, one is +HP -DEF, the other is +RES -DEF, which should I use, or is my +SPD -RES Ike just superior?

I have Takumi running threaten spd and Nowi and Hector buffing defense, resistance, and attack. My only confusion is whether i should give him Luna or Bonfire. Also hed prbly be +Spd but i wouldnt mind a +Atk one so i could switch back and forth between Fury + Luna and Heavy Blade+ Aether. Any suggestions people???
Bonfire is more consistent and gives him better damage output.

I don't care who is the best and who is not because i play fire emblem heroes for fun, but if I did care then in my opinion I think ike is the best sword because that guy has high attack and a distant counter on his ragnell. He's like a slightly slower but a more defensive and powerful version of Ryoma. I like the fact that Ike is a risky character for Takumi to try and shoot down. Unless if Takumi has swordbreaker. What I also like is that Ike is my highest attacker out of everyone of my units. I have a +res, -hp Ike. I find that a pretty decent nature because I will make him less vulnerable to mages with fury. Giving him some 24 resistance.
Who do you think will be in the focus banner for battling Xander? And I'll will keep asking for "How good is Female Robin?" till I get it.

I thought my -Atk +Res Ike was the worst IVs I could ever pull,
until he almost solo'd GHB Clarisse on Infernal, tanking Clarisse's Glimmer and the blue mage hitting him for 29 on the defensive tile. Just by healing him with Rehab twice and a couple of Aethers did he finish up. He even stood at 30 HP at one point to tank a 29-damage hit on the last Enemy Phase.
Even the worst IV Ike is amazing.
Azura is also a strong counter vs Ike since she normally is running Saph lance.

My Ike is -hp +atk, this is perfect, he is with Heavy blade 2 (because I was saving that sp to another skill, also my Sharena with rally atk or Nino with hone atk will put the Ike atk in 59), vantage 3 and Hone speed ( because Nino xD), ardent sacrifice, Luna and that atk +1, when he is in Luna and Vantage range, he destroy almost every unit in the game, this is awesome!!!
-hp Ike survive a hit from a +atk Kagero with fury, also he can survive a hit from a +atk Nino with fury and 3 of her stats boosted by 4 points, vantage Ike +Luna is something scary xD

IBringInTheBeats With the sp event, he earns 6 sp for every enemy he defeats that is equal or 5 lvls below. So don't use shards and crystals to lvl up. One battle in the training tower can get you about 24 or more sp per battle, so bring a healer and a dancer or something. What you should have done was max both ikes, then spend sp on one Ike for Aether and Heavy Blade, then the other you would spend on Vantage and Threaten Atk, then when you merge them the last Ike will have all the skills. So basically if you can't merge than you'll have to do a lot of grinding in the training tower.

IBringInTheBeats yeah I'd say keep it for inheritance. It'll be a long grind for the other but it's worth it!
Honestly any unit that has a built in melee/distant counter is usually auto-good. Top that off with his high atk and hp with alright spd and def and his ability of charging his special fast, he's definitely one of the better sword users.
Question: If a sword unit with Sword Breaker attacks another sword unit with sword breaker, would it basically be like wary fighter?

Yazan strong -Spd Hector isn't a good bane for Hector cuz with 21 spd, he'll get doubled by literally everyone.
Hamza Khan hector will always get doubled he is slow i have another hector in other account +spd thats 28 spd at max still gets doubles by most, for me best hector is +res -hp
Yazan strong I have a +spd/-HP Hector and it's his best IV set imo cuz you can fix the -HP with an HP+3 Seal and 28 speed means he doesn't get doubled nearly as much. I use a Ryoma with hone speed 3 and that puts Hector at 32 speed, which really prevents him from being doubled since you need 37 speed to double him.
Well my Ike is a minus attack and plus defense, and can still one shot, I'm gonna put on him threaten defense I guess to help him in that area
I don't know if I should go for the first build or the second build!
My Ike is neutral IVs. Because he's kind of a beefier Ryoma, I've given him reciprocal Aid, threaten defense and renewal and left his heavy blade. This way instead of being a weaker Ryoma he's a stronger Lucina.
Why didn't he talked about moonbow on ike he can use it almost every time he is attacked
IS is so cruel... they release the two best banners in a row and I won't be able to get either Ike or Takumi because of my few orbs. Can't buy orbs either because I'm still saving for a Switch... *sigh*
