When you form questions in the simple present (or simple past), you usually need a helping verb (a form of DO). Then the main verb uses the base form of the verb.
What color does he have? >> DOES = helping verb, signals present tense / HAVE = main verb in base form of the verb
    Thank you for watching!

DZ ana Hello Said. Correct: What color eyes does this baby boy have?
    Subject: this baby boy
    Helping verb: does
    Main verb (base form): have
    Object: What color eyes
Question: What color does this baby boy have? [Two verbs needed: a helping verb + the main verb.]
Answer: The boy has blue eyes. [Only one verb is needed.]

When you ask a question, you use this structure:
question word + helping verb (shows agreement) + subject + main verb (base form of the verb)?
Examples: What do you like? What does she like? What do they like? What does he like?
So with HAVE as the main verb, all questions will use the base form. The helping verb changes to show agreement.
Examples: What do you have? What does she have? What do they have? What does he have?
What color hair + does + the woman + have?
    Does that make sense? :)

To Bundit Phornsuksiri - If you're asking a general question about "anyone", then WHO + singular verb:
Who HAS time to help me? Who KNOWS the answer? Who WAS nominated?
But consider these examples: Who ARE they? Who ARE the top producers? Who WERE your ancestors?
Indefinite pronouns are usually singular; however, in everyday English plural forms are acceptable: Everyone NEEDS a friend. / Someone forgot HIS or HER wallet. (Correct, but more conversational: Someone forgot THEIR wallet.)

    • @Englishwithjennifer
      @Englishwithjennifer  Před 6 lety +1

Hi Alexey. It's true we count brushes, but the focus here is on color. "What" is like "which" so we're already modifying "color" with those words. It seems like an odd structure, but a common pattern in questions is "What color (noun)...?" as in "What color dress did she wear?" See more examples here: www.learnersdictionary.com/definition/color

Using articles depends on the noun. If it's countable and singular, then yes:
      I have a car. (1 car)
I have an ice cube tray. (1 tray)
I have flour that you can borrow. (flour = uncountable)

      Examples:
The father and son have the same name.
They have the same name. (third person plural)
The father and son do not have the same name.
They do not have the same name. (third person plural)
Do the father and son have the same name?
In the negative and in questions, use the helping verb DO for third person plural (they) and DOES for third person singular (he/she).

Hello. You can find a tutor on a platform like Hallo or Rype. I am not able to accept new students at this time. Try different teachers and find someone you connect easily with. :) Learning with someone can be a very positive experience. Good luck!
