I'm so torn! I transitioned to blonde throughout last year, but seeing your brunette hair makes me want to transition back to dark. You look great as always. Your hairdresser is amazing.

Lily Daquila I felt this way! You know what you can do? You can ask your stylist to tone your hair darker, which is semi permanent dye. Your hair will fade in a few months to blonde again but of course not as light as the color it was before hand if they tone you pretty dark! That's what I did. It made me realize I prefer myself with light!

Love the hair, I love how it has barely noticeable red. My hair is growing back after chemo and it's the same color as yours, once it gets to shoulder length, I think I'll add a few subtle red highlights. Time to embrace the dark side :)

This was just perfect. I did blonde and dyed it brownish red, but it kept fading back to blonde/brassy orange. I toned it but then the next week it went back. So now I know I need to do a "filling".

i feel like I can relate on every level with this transformation, cause Im about to go back to my natural dark blonde from veery bleached hair and my priority is to keep it healthy and reduced visits to hair salon
I only used once a box dye that is ash blond number 7 loreal excellence. And my original hair color is dark brown almost black and the box dye didn't change my hair color that much it does look a little lighter but with a red undertone. I want a brown color and the brown that the girl on the video got is so pretty. What can I do to get it at home. Should I remove the color pigment on my hair or can I just put on color ??

I know this is like an old video, but do you happen to remember what color they put on your hair? I would say natural brown (5N) with red undertones, but not sure. I've had highlighted/blond hair for several years and I'm trying to work myself back to my natural color which is a brunette and I LOVE your hair in this video. Thanks.

Ive always wanted to go full blonde but that maintenance is too hardcore! I feel like your hair looks a lot healthier brunette ! You look great either way girl :)
it definitely looks healthier. Blonde is good for a couple months but can't be maintained long term if you want healthy hair!

Ok so when you first applied the copper and gold tones, what exactly is that? Is it dye or toner ?
What hair products did you used after turning brunette? Just change my hair from blonde to brunette as well!
I think I need to go back to brown also because it is so damaged. Although I am sad to get rid of my blonde hair, it looks so amazing on you and it inspired me. Did the brown stay pretty vibrant or did it fade over time? Do you have to get it touched up?

Hey Aja, thank you for answering my questions. You guys' advice was a lot of help. I'll definitely be buying that Olaplex asap. You mentioned that I should avoid heat tools..but I have natural curls (that I don't really like...so I keep it straight)...but is there a "somewhat healthy " way to straighten my hair while still trying to keep it healthier?
I can't help you with how to naturally straighten curly hair since I have straight hair already but I think you should try to rock your natural curls. put some curling product in it to tame the frizz.
Aja Dang I've gotten used to the straight look for years but I suppose I could change things up a bit. I just gotta look up different hairstyles for super short curly hair. hmm...but thanks for the advice. 😊
Hey Kiara, if you must rock the straight look... make sure you use a good heat protectant product. Also as well as the olaplex, use a sulfate free shampoo and conditioner for curly hair. It will make the world of difference.
I'm lowkey mad because my hairstylist just gave me blonde highlights to "fade" into my dark roots. And told me to let my hair grow vs doing that she just did...wtf
out of curiosity - why did they blow dry your hair before applying the final phase of color & also how long did the whole color & cut take? I was starting to get use to the blonde on you, but there's something cozier/warmer about brunette - & I love this length on you!
they blew out the hair to get an accurate sense of color before applying the final color - to make sure the undertones were right. I was in the salon from 1030a - 5p.
